Mr Shalchi has a lovely calm nature. He really put me at ease even though I was quite anxious about having cataract surgery. He spoke to me throughout the surgery on my first eye, which reassured me and also helped the time pass quickly. When I went to have the second eye done, I had to wait quite a while before going into theatre. Mr Shalchi was very welcoming and calming. I found the procedure second time round wasn’t as comfortable. Maybe the theatre was colder? The music wasn’t as relaxing. Maybe it was also because I was a lot more aware of what was happening or going to happen.
Dr Shalchi was very was very attentive and found out about my history then went through the step by step explanation of the appointment. He was reassuring and recommended eye drops to ease my discomfort. Thank you!

Very professional, guided me in the right direction for my glaucoma.

That's wonderful to hear. Thank you for taking the time to leave this review.
An excellent surgeon with a great bedside manner. Very understanding and provided alot of assurance.

I'm very pleased to hear you were reassured after your consultation
A comprehensive examination, including the options for dealing with two cataracts, by providing lenses that would improve my current needs, thus removing the requirement for my current prescription glasses, annually. Clear explanation and expectations set out, with a time frame and outcome, over the weeks ahead, from surgery to completion. Prompt and clear process, with good communication and support from his secretary.

Thank you very much indeed for your kind words. I'm very pleased to hear you found the service comprehensive and thorough
