Dr Anthony W Nathan

Dr Anthony Nathan is a Consultant Cardiologist specialising in clinical cardiology and interventional electrophysiology. His specialist interests include arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, hypertension and vascular medicine. He has extensive experience in cardiac electrophysiology and has been involved in interventional electrophysiology since the development of the subspecialty.

Dr Nathan performs cardiac electrophysiological studies, including ablation of atrial, junctional and ventricular tachycardia. He also performs the implantation and explantation of pacemakers and implantable defibrillators, including biventricular devices for cardiac resynchronisation therapy in patients with heart failure.

He has a major interest in the diagnosis and treatment of coronary disease and undertakes cardiac catheterisation in adults, including coronary angiography. His clinical practice also encompasses the care of patients with other cardiac conditions, including hypertension and heart failure.

Dr Nathan qualified from medical school at the Middlesex Hospital in London in 1975. He subsequently became a Member and then a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. He is also a founding Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the British Cardiovascular Society, Heart Rhythm Society and Heart Rhythm UK. He is an honorary member of the Spanish Society of Cardiology.
