About Dr Deven Patel
Dr Deven Patel is a Consultant Cardiologist specialising in general and interventional cardiology. He qualified from the Middlesex Hospital Medical School, London., undertaking specialist training in cardiology at The Royal Free, The Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.
Dr Patel was appointed over 20yrs ago as a Consultant Cardiologist to Barnet General and The Royal Free Hospitals and was the Head of Cardiology at Barnet Hospital for 10 years. He also sees patients privately at the following locations:

- Spire Bushey Hospital
Dr Patel has expertise in all areas of cardiology but has focused his practice on interventional cardiology for the last 15 years. He sees patients with a range of conditions, including: chest pain, breathlessness, hypertension, palpitations, faints & blackouts, heart murmurs and arrhythmias.
He has specialist expertise in coronary angiography and stenting and has a wide experience in physiological assessment, intracoronary imaging and in lesion modification with intravascular lithotripsy and rotablation in complex coronary intervention.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Patel has also completed research surrounding the diagnosis of coronary artery disease and acute coronary syndromes, including acute myocardial infarction.
Outside of work he has started playing golf, plays tennis and skis.
