I went to my optician thinking that the problem with my right eye was to do with a cataract. It was not. It was a detached retina. It was referred to Queen Mary's Hospital on Wednesday by my.optician as a matter of urgency .They initially said that due 3 week period I had left things very little could be done. However on the Friday I got a call from Kings to attend that afternoon. I did and saw Dr. Neffendorf. He explained exactly what was wrong. How he thought that despite time lapse, my fault, he thought something could be done. 70 to 80.percent chance of success. Went for preop on Monday and had surgery the next day. Since then every day the eyesight has got a little better. I owe Dr Neffendorf sight in my right eye. I will be eternally grateful. Throughout the process Dr Neffendorf has been excellent explaining what to do at every stage of recovery. Just brilliant.

The overall experience was excellent. As an NHS patient I felt I waited too long which affected my mental health and mobility, this wait has impacted on my recovery. I would have waited even longer if I hadn’t gone to my GP and asked for my operation to be escalated. The whole process took six months of physio initial NHS xray took a further 5 months to see the consultant then a further 4 and a half months for op. This has been a nightmare. I am however extremely appreciative of my operation and the treatment I have received during my stay at Hoarders. Also on the discharge sheet I was given a number to call for worries and questions once I got home this number was however not answered and my answer phone message was not called back.

Dr Philip Woodland

After almost a year of tests under another organisation, Dr Woodland was almost instantly able to pinpoint what my problem was and create a plan of action for my treatment going ahead. He also told me I was unlikely to need the tests that I was booked in for elsewhere, which would have saved me a lot of money had I been paying for them privately. Although I am still on the road to complete health, Dr Woodland was very good at putting things into perspective for me, which has given me hope! He has helped my physical condition, which has in turn had a hugely positive effect on my mental health. Thank you again! I will be straight back to you if I need your help again.

Our experience with Dr Hanci was really positive. We felt, both my husband and I, that he tailored the consultations to both us as parents, but also communicated with our daughter brilliantly, putting her at ease, and ensured she was involved with the process on her terms. Dr Hanci was professional, thorough, empathetic and patient. The nurses were also very caring and diligent with their manner. My only slight feedback would be that there was a bit of confusion by the reception team/s, who advised us that Dr Hanci wasn't working on the day of our appointment, but other than that, a positive experience, given it is/can be a concerning time for families.

I first saw Dr Seth two years ago and recently returned in October/November 2025. He’s exceptional at what he does, and absolutely worth waiting for. As always, he took the time to explain everything properly and map out a sensible plan and next steps. What I really value is how comfortable he makes you feel—he’s generous with his knowledge and never rushed. He’s also incredibly considerate in the way he coordinates directly with my physio, which removes any risk of miscommunication on my side. Dr Ajai Seth is consistently outstanding, and I feel very well looked after under his care.

I was anxious about my first visit following some negative experiences with nhs gp appointments. But on meeting Dr Shori I was instantly very comfortable and felt heard. I had relevant tests quickly and efficiently. I did not feel rushed or dismissed at any point and came away feeling relieved that I had some answers to symptoms I had been struggling with for a long time. The practice was lovely, clean and overall a nice atmosphere. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again for a concern I was struggling with and would recommend anyone to do the same if they were in a position to do so.

My surgeon was Shohista Saidkasimova and she was really wonderful. She put me at ease during the initial consultation, extremely interested in all my questions and explaining all items of the surgery in layman’s terms. During the operation she asked what kind of music I liked and supplied this in the background, not intrusively but loud enough to provide an excellent distraction. But what really impressed me was the way she interacted with me personally throughout the operation. I have nothing but praise for this lovely lady and would throughly recommend her.

Visit was in Luton and Dunstable hospital. I have arrived early for appointment and seen straight away by nurse on duty for first checks.( hight/weight). Then Doctors Gyampoh has seen me for a verbal consultation explained process regarding my concern regarding the condition and scan on the day. After that scan took place with another Doctor. After that Dr. Gyampoh thoroughly have explained my scan,outcome, options and process going forward. Great experience thank you very much. Keep up the good work and experience with patience.

Couldn't praise Mr Tang anymore. From the moment I met him, kind, knowledgeable, calm, and I felt at ease even though I ripped my bicep less than a day before meeting him and was in a serious amount of pain. He did say he has never seen a bicep recover so quickly, which I am very proud of; however, I think that was more him than me. Thank you again.

The audiologist was very helpful and gave me a referral letter to see the Doctor and once the infection has cleared I could return to complete the wax removal . The Receptionist was welcoming , friendly and helpful from my first phone and on my two visits . Thank you

We were welcomed nicely. Offered a lovely selection of drinks by the friendly reception staff and then saw our wonderful Dr Jawad who is just so kind, caring, thoughtful and knowledgable. He just goes beyond doctor and you really feel he genuinely cares for your child. He is so thorough and informative and has such a great manner with the children (and is parents). Would 100% recommend.
