Everything went very well. Mr Jafaru Abu was very experienced, kind, and knowledgeable. He made me feel at ease and explained everything clearly. I would definitely recommend him.

I was diagnosed with stage 1b1 cervical cancer at 33 years old. Mr Abu performed a radical trachelectomy and cervical stitch to remove the cancer while preserving my fertility. The surgery was a complete success, and I have gone on to have three healthy children. I am now 11 years cancer free. The care, skill, and dedication of Mr Abu is second to none. I have him to thank for my life and my family, and I will be forever grateful. Mr Abu took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel completely at ease throughout my treatment. Post cancer check-ups can be very stressful, however I found myself totally at ease, as I knew I was in such amazing hands. It was always so lovely to see Mr Abu and his team, who made every appointment feel reassuring and positive. I will always be incredibly grateful for the kindness, care and support he has shown me throughout my journey.

I recently had a hysteroscopy and biopsies under Mr Abu and I cant recommend him highly enough. From the moment I met Mr Abu I was put at ease. It was a very anxious time and Mr Abu was supportive and reassuring. He made me feel heard and his compassion and professionalism stood out. He explained everything throughly and helped me to feel comfortable. The aftercare was amazing and he even checked in on me on his day off. I have been a surgical patient of Dr Abu in 2020 in Nottingham. I felt instantly relieved at the pre operative appointment as he was willing to listen and patient to explain a plan with me, and include my thoughts in these discussions. I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer in August 2022. I was introduced to Mr Abu later that year while undergoing chemotherapy. Mr Abu’s manner was very reassuring while also explaining the proposed surgery and potential outcomes clearly. He performed complex cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC in February 2023 and I am lucky enough to be ‘no evidence of disease’ since.
