I was diagnosed with bile duct cancer at my local hospital Broomfield, I was referred to the Royal Free Hospital under Mr David Nasralla on 11/09/2025. I saw Mr Nasralla in clinic. He explained my diagnosis in simple terms that I was able to understand along with simplified drawings. He agreed that I was a candidate for surgery and this was booked for the 29/09/2025, before I left clinic. My recovery and each step of my recovery was explained. I was contacted by the HBP team several times leading up to my operation which was such relief as all my questions were answered as they came along. I was admitted to hospital on 29/09/2025, where Mr Nasralla saw me to confirm that I still wanted to proceed with the operation. I awoke from my operation in ITU, Mr Nasralla come to see me and my partner to explain my procedure and to oversee my treatment. Mr Nasralla was understanding, very thorough and completely supportive to my care plan. During my stay in the Royal Free Hospital under Mr Nasralla he came to see me several times and his team who came on the ward rounds were also in contact with him. I cannot speak highly enough of the treatment and support I was given by Mr David Nasralla and his team. My treatment has been outstanding both while in hospital and during the last four weeks at home. Mr Nasralla has followed up on my recovery and care plan with total commitment to my recovery. There have been times when I have been worried and unsure, I have been met with total understanding and compassion, with clear empathy. I can say I completely trust Mr Nasralla and his team, who went beyond patient care. I would like to thank Mr Nasralla and his amazing team, which includes the CNS nurses and all the staff who smoothly booked my appointments. My last appointment with Mr Nasralla was on 06/11/2025, his approach to my next step to recovery was explained in full and in terms I understood. Mr Nasralla gave me the email address of his team should I need to contact them. I cannot explain how this has helped me, to know that they are still there should I need to reach out to them. There are not enough praises to reflect the outstanding care and support I have received. I am eternally grateful to Mr Nasralla & his team, without whom I would not be able to write this review.

I could not recommend MUMs and Miss Pradhan highly enough. Right from my first phone call, the team were so accommodating, they understood and heard my concerns and provided availability to get me seen within two days. Miss Pradhan herself is extremely knowledgeable, supportive and empathic and immediately put me at ease. She was able to explain everything and I was able to ask all the questions that were causing me anxiety. I walked away from the clinic feeling totally reassured and knew that there was an action plan in place to ensure I was on the right medical pathway. I could not thank the team and Miss Pradhan enough for their care and reassurance and would advise anyone who has concerns to go and explore them with the team at MUMs.

My symptoms had troubled me for some time and the NHS pathway merely wanted to control the pain rather than treat the root cause of my discomfort. After research I chose to go privately to Mr Hunt as a highly recommended Cardio Thoracic surgeon with speciality in Rib Injury. He quickly assessed my condition and, after that was confirmed by Dynamic Ultrasound, he proposed surgery to attempt to fix the root cause of my discomfort. Surgery was clearly outlined and success rates were described - at all times I felt very well informed. The surgery was very successful and my recovery has been quick with minimal pain. Mr Hunt was highly professional throughout this process and I cannot thank him enough.

The hospital is soulless. The staff seem to wander about aimlessly. I sat waiting in an empty waiting room, no water or coffee. My consultant was late, though no one told me. There was no one to ask, I had to try and find someone to track my consultant down. A nurse appeared then sat in the waiting room on her phone on a video call and then on Instagram, she didn’t acknowledge me. They found my consultant who then disappeared again , no idea where she went. She was over a half an hour late for my appointment, not great but made worse that no one bothered to come out and tell me. Very poor experience and not what I expected from this hospital.

Mark Norton met me at the appointed time and explained that the Xray showed osteoarthritis in my left hip. Although not critical he recommended a hip replacement before the pain I was experiencing became worse. He said he could fit in the operation in early January if I was wishing to proceed. I said that time would suit me. He examined my legs which confirmed the problem and then passed me paperwork and consent form to enable him to proceed. I was then introduced to a Nurse who dealt with the initial preoperative tests. All together everything was conducted in a efficient and professional manner.

Dr Lord is the absolute best. She is a world renowned Obgyn, she really looks after her patients and cares deeply for the mothers. She's highly competent and trustworthy, for example she will only recommend tests she thinks are necessary, and not adding unnecessary costs. Downstairs work being done to the building. Noisy and lots of stuff/materials over the waiting room floor. I found the whole experience poor considering this is a private paying surgery. I understand the work needs to be done, however for a patient it is not ideal by a long shot. Not a relaxing atmosphere or acceptable. This is the second time I have been and the same building work being done.
