My hearing care assistant Claire was brilliant. I only made the appointment because I was spending New Year in the area from London and still had muffled hearing despite being under treatment for wax removal in both ears. I had already gone down the local NHS route, which uses only irrigation, to no effect and the private (Specsavers) route, which uses only micro-suction, with limited success after several visits. So I was delighted that with just one treatment of about twenty minutes at Meadows and Wood my ears were completely clear. Claire used both methods in appropriate combination to get the result I wanted. She was very pleasant, friendly and extremely professional and fully answered any questions I had. She was also careful to keep me informed of what she was doing at every point of the treatment whilst ensuring that there was no pain or discomfort. I would unhesitatingly recommend Meadows and Wood to anybody. The standard of treatment I received was so high that it might well be worth making the trip from London the next time I need their services!

Both myself and my daughter have been patients of Dr Bakshi for over a year and he has helped us hugely. Recently my 18 month old was suffering from back to back viruses and worsening rashes. I contacted Dr Bakshi in desperation just before Christmas as the treatment advice from the GP was not working, and it was looking like we would be unable to travel and see family while she was so unwell. Dr Bakshi identified 2 types of skin infection and was able to advise the correct regimen of creams to use, and we were able to see our family at Christmas. Thank you so much for your kindness and empathy, and for always going above and beyond. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr Bakshi for both adults and children; he is one of the kindest and most helpful and knowledgeable consultants I have come across, and his secretary Rahul is also lovely and very responsive and helpful.

I had been considering eye surgery and attended Cathedral Eye Clinic to get a second opinion, having already spoken with a consultant in Dublin. Putting it simply, my experience in Belfast was far superior. The team at Cathedral ran a more comprehensive range of tests, assigned more time and personnel to my case, and were far better at talking through my options. In particular, I was very pleased that they were willing to give me their honest perspectives based on what they felt was best for me in the long run. Ultimately (based on their guidance), I decided not to go forward with any additional procedure at this time, but should I need treatment further down the line, I will not hesitate to go back to Belfast.

Booked an appointment and was seen 2 days later. Dr Chopra was very friendly, took a case history and examined my skin condition. He made suggestions as to the cheapest course of action, which he personally wouldn't have financially benefitted from, which showed real integrity as a doctor. I went ahead with a biopsy, which was quickly and skilfully performed, and dissolving sutures were deliberately used as to save me from needing a return visit, thus reducing costs and time. Dr Chopra clearly cares not only about his patients but also seeks to provide medical attention in the most cost effective manner for his patients.

He carried out a detailed investigation into my condition and explained everything clearly, including a thorough description of the procedure. I went to see Mr Pakarian as I was having very heavy bleeding from a suspected fibroid which I thought I had had removed via a Myosure treatment three months prior. He talked through my history and did scans then and there. He thought it was a fibroid and sent me for an MRI to confirm. He talked through my options including shrinking the fibroid but recommended a full hysterectomy based on my age, history and my confirmation that I didn’t want any more children. He sent me off to think about my options but I was fully convinced the hysterectomy was the best option for me.

I couldn’t recommend Mr. Holland enough - he’s exceptional at what he does whilst also being an incredibly kind and caring individual. I came in to see him on 24th November with severe abdominal symptoms after receiving poor treatment from NHS A&E services. I am a new patient at No.1 Hatfield and my recent visit was to the physioloy department in relation to an ankle problem. The physiologist was kind and easy to talk to and clearly explained the prolem I have to me and gave me a routine of exercises to perform with a follow up appointment to attend in a fortnght's time, this being part of a booked 6 week course. My daughter who came with me and I were very pleased with appointment experience and would recommend the hospital to anyone who might ask about it.
