Dr Samah Alimam

Dr Samah Alimam is a Consultant Haematologist with expertise in both benign and malignant haematology. She is based at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where she serves as Lead for Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia (CML) and Transfusion Medicine.

Dr Alimam completed her specialist haematology training in London and Manchester, gaining experience across several major UK medical centres. She provides assessment and management for a broad range of haematological conditions, including iron deficiency, anaemia, abnormal blood counts, unexplained bruising or fatigue, and suspected lymph node enlargement. Her practice also encompasses the diagnosis and treatment of complex blood disorders and haematological malignancies.

Her specialist interests include general haematology, myeloid malignancies and transfusion medicine, with a focus on delivering evidence-based and individualised patient care. She is experienced in supporting patients through diagnostic investigations, long-term disease management and second-opinion consultations.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Alimam is actively involved in academic research and clinical trials aimed at improving outcomes in blood cancers and other haematological disorders. Her research interests include novel therapeutic approaches for myeloid malignancies and developments in transfusion practice.
