Both of my clinicians were friendly and professional. In particular, Hannah Geary was excellent - reading my report from her, I felt she really listened and understood my situation and experiences. A few negative points: I arrived around 5-10 minutes early for my in-person appointment and no one from Skylight was listed on the outside of the clinic. I tried to speak to someone else on the buzzer list, but they couldn't help. I then rang the Skylight number and got an answer machine. Only then did my clinician arrive - he said he didn't know my appointment was at 9.30am as he never does appointments that early. This was an unnecessarily stressful experience, and when relaying this to Hannah Geary, she asked for my permission to escalate this. The wait time on communication was much longer than I would have expected. My report was also delayed because my early developmental questionnaire was somehow not linked to my profile. I received initial emails saying everything was complete in October, but then the eight-week timeline passed and I had to chase up. Had someone contacted me earlier to say there was a problem (which was easily rectified), I would not have had to wait an extra month to get my final report. I also haven't received confirmation that my request for extra sessions has been acknowledged and a rough timeline for these, so will follow up on email.

The Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital

I had an excellent experience at the Lindo Wing. Everyone (midwives, baby doctors, anaesthesiologists) were exceptionally calm, supportive, and reassuring throughout my stay. Every step was clearly explained, and all questions were answered with patience and care. Even with the smallest concern about my baby’s health, a neonatologist was promptly invited to carry out a full assessment, which gave me great peace of mind. I was also supported with my baby’s breast attachment immediately in the delivery room, which was incredibly helpful. The rooms are very well equipped, and during delivery both my and my baby’s heart rates were continuously monitored and carefully assessed. After the birth, we received ongoing guidance on next steps, and both my baby’s and my own health were checked frequently and thoroughly.

My visit was entirely satisfactory. The staff were exceptionally friendly at all times and they seem to meet a lot of them. I was getting informed about what was going to happen to me at all times. The menu was amazing and the whole place seem to be extremely efficiently run My only comment of an adverse nature would be that having been shown to a room on my arrival where my wife carefully unpacked all my belongings she she know sooner had left Than. I had to pack them all up again because I was being transferred to another room and then when I came out of the operating theatre before I went home, I had to wait three hours before I managed to get my belongings back again no book to read or iPad slightly frustrating but that was the only hiccup on an excellent visit.

From the very beginning, he has taken the time and shown great patience and professionalism in explaining my diagnosis, medications, and my overall care plan. 1)I found the signage to the main lifts and to Lyndhurst rooms confusing. There should be signage in the ground floor lift lobby saying which departments are on which floor. I have been complaining about this since 1971. 2)The excellent group portrait of the Royal Free consultants in about 1970 which used to be on the ground floor but has now been removed to the 12th Floor no longer has the key saying who they are. This is a digrace and an insult to the memory of a fine group of men (and about ten women), The key should be found and reinstated immediately.

I received excellent care and reassurance from Mr Nawaytou, who successfully performed my valve sparing aortic root replacement surgery. He is very personable and clearly an exceptional surgeon and was highly spoken of by his colleagues throughout the hospital and further afield. I feel very fortunate to have had him perform my surgery. The care I received from all staff at Liverpool Heart and Chest was also exceptional. I'm recovering well and would not hesitate to recommend Mr Nawaytou and LHCH.

I had an excellent experience with Dr Bhandari. He was very attentive and took the time to genuinely listen to all of my concerns. Dr Bhandari is extremely knowledgeable and explained the diagnosis and treatment plan clearly and in great detail, which was very reassuring. The echocardiogram and ECG was performed with great patience and care, with everything explained step by step. I felt well looked after throughout the appointment and treatment journey and would highly recommend Dr Bhandari.
