(Other medical conditions had made this a difficulty in the hospital of my first choice.) He was an excellent surgeon, my recovery has been very good, he took extra time to make 3 additional visits when I was in hospital to ensure that the wound was healing properly. He was very good at listening to me, both in terms of my current problems and in terms of my expectations for recovery. Mr Kasem was very kind, made me feel confident I was going to have my scans and then he would give me a clear outcome that I would understand. He took the time, without me even asking, to explain the mammogram I had last week, what they had seen and how the scoring system worked. He then told me exactly what would happen today at the appointment and he specifically asked my consent to examine me, and again before he carried out the examination itself. He checked with me if I had any questions at the end of both the before and after consultations. Honestly, I could not think of a single thing that could have been better, I felt he was incredibly respectful and thoughtful as a doctor.

It’s underneath my chin, lopsided, on top of any tissue, not even near my chin bone, and they refute 2nd opinions I’ve had that there’s anything wrong with this. They also promised me a referral for a CT scan for months but keep deferring. So I’ve had to arrange these scans myself to get proof needed. Made a formal complaint and didn’t even get a written response. Independent adjudication (ISCAS) next then Small Claims. They will not take responsibility for negligence/errors so beware! Please pass on so people are aware - as this needs to be made public

Dr Chiu promptly diagonised the need to remove my un-erupted ectopic lower third molar. Dr Chiu listened to all my concerns and answed my questions in detail. Communication was great right from the initial meeting through to post surgery follow up consultation. All meetings were followed up in writing confirming the discussion and actions agreed. Dr Chiu also identified a dental filling which was incorrectly completed by a previous dentist. I found Dr Chiu very knowledgable. I strongly suggest anyone looking for a oral and maxillofacial surgeon to contact Dr Chiu without hesitation.

I chose galaxy lenses for my cataract surgery and am now very happy with the results. No need whatsoever for any glasses. I had a robotic total prostatectomy for a high grade cancer and two and a half years later I remain cancer free, with normal urine continence and satisfactory recovery in erectile function.
