About Mr Charles Imber
Mr Imber studied medicine at Cambridge University, qualifying in 1992. He went on to specialise in open and laparoscopic abdominal, liver and pancreatic surgery and Liver Transplantation, practising in London, Cambridge and Birmingham. He was appointed to the post of Consultant Surgeon in 2006.
Mr Imber has special interests in complex abdominal wall Hernia surgery, Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery, Liver Transplantation, Laparoscopic Surgery and Emergency Surgery. His practice covers all aspects of benign and malignant disease in this area.
He is still active in research, combining academic work with his clinical practice, and has had more than 90 peer-reviewed papers published in leading medical journals as well as being an invited speaker at several International specialist conferences.
He is the lead for liver, pancreatic and Biliary surgery at the Cleveland Clinic London where he will conduct face to face or remote consultations for existing or new conditions.

I cannot thank Mr Charles Imber enough for the care he has given me. After a very difficult year and a half of ongoing health problems, pain, frightening symptoms, and feeling at times as though I was not being fully heard, Mr Imber took on my care with professionalism, kindness, and genuine attention. He never made me feel dismissed, overdramatic, or like my symptoms were not valid. He listened carefully, took everything seriously, and gave me confidence at a time when I had very little left. From my first appointment through to surgery, I felt I was in safe hands. He explained things clearly, acted decisively, and treated me with respect throughout. That alone made an enormous difference, but the outcome has been even more meaningful. Since surgery, I already feel that the benefits have outweighed the long and difficult health battle I had been living through. For the first time in a very long time, I feel like my body is starting to work with me again rather than against me. It is hard to put into words what that means after such a long period of feeling unwell. Mr Imber has given me more than surgical care; he has given me hope, reassurance, and a real chance at getting my life back. I am incredibly grateful to him and his team.
