We had a really positive experience with Dr Hodge. He saw our daughter’s eczema and allergy testing. We felt listened to, reassured and confident that our concerns were being taken seriously. Dr Hodge was thorough, knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly, including the test results and the treatment plan. After months of issues my little girl is finally eczema free and are hopeful we can now continue to mange this. Thank you!

After visiting another dermatologist at the Hull Spire we were left feeling very unheard, not reassured and like we were fobbed off with yet more steroids and no investigation. I pushed for a second opinion and was given the name of Dr Hodge and I’m so relieved we did. He was so thorough, listened to everything we shared, looked at photos of how bad things had got with our little ones skin. He performed an allergy test to rule out our concerns over an allergy and reassured us that we would be safe to use steroids short term in the future. He was brilliant with our son who loves to chat and we left feeling like we had a good plan in place and that we could go back if we were struggling again. Thank you 🙏

We couldn’t speak more highly of our experience with Dr Hodge. From the moment we met him, he was gentle, engaging, understanding and extremely knowledgeable in his field. We instantly felt at ease, and our child really benefited from the calm and reassuring environment he created. He took the time to listen to our concerns as parents and explained his findings in a clear, informative and easy-to-understand way. At no point did we feel rushed or that our concerns were being dismissed. We were particularly grateful that Dr Hodge was able to accommodate us at such short notice due to how worried I was about the issue. His kindness and understanding made a stressful situation feel much more manageable. It was a genuine pleasure to see a specialist who is not only exceptionally good at what he does, but who also clearly enjoys his work and cares about the children and families he sees. We left feeling reassured, informed and very grateful for the care we received. I honestly couldn’t recommend Dr Hodge highly enough. A fantastic specialist and a lovely person.

Dr Hodge saw us promptly in his clinic. He had clearly spent a great deal of time reading my son’s medical notes ahead of the consultation which made me feel reassured. He took my concerns very seriously and made me feel listened to and addressed each issue in turn. I left feeling as though he had made a clear plan for my son and I’m very grateful for his time and effort - thank you.

Dr Hodge is a reassuring and kind doctor. He put our minds at ease after a couple of scary food reactions whilst weaning our baby. We left feeling reassured and with a clear plan on how to manage the next few months / years. Would highly recommend him.

Dr Hodge was professional, friendly, and clear when testing our son for allergies and coming up with a management plan. Dr Hodge has a lovely bedside manner, and managed to distract our son from the skin prick testing so well that he didn't even cry! After months of waiting before finding Dr Hodge's clinic, we came away with much needed clarity on the extent of the problem and how to proceed, which we couldn't be more grateful for- and opens up so many more foods to our son where we were previously rather anxious. We had been experiencing increasingly worrying allergic reactions to different foods with our 16-month-old little boy and had no idea what was causing them, which was understandably very stressful. The appointment was incredibly helpful, we had plenty of time to explain his reactions, received clear advice and guidance, and allergy testing was carried out there and then, which identified some of the main allergies. The doctor was fantastic with our son and really put him at ease, while also being incredibly patient, reassuring and thorough with us as parents. We now have a clear plan around what to avoid and how to manage his reactions, and it genuinely feels like a huge weight has been lifted off our shoulders. We can now move forward with much more confidence and continue to monitor things with the allergy team.
