About Dr David Reffitt

Dr Reffitt graduated in 1990 from Bristol University before moving to London to complete his General Medical Training at Bristol Royal Infirmary. Following this, he joined the Specialist Registrar and spent seven years training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at St Thomas' Hospital and King's College Hospital. He also undertook three years of research and was awarded an MD in Gastroenterology at The Rayne Institute, St Thomas' Hospital, University of London.
Since 2009, Dr Reffitt has been the Training Programme Director for Gastroenterology registrars in the South Thames, Kent, Surrey and Sussex regions and organises a comprehensive training programme for 75 gastroenterology registrars.

Extremely pleased with my recent visit. Dr Reffitt was very helpful and explained everything in a way that made it very understandable.
I had a raised FIT level to lead me to Dr Reffitt. A focussed discussion on relative medical history rapidly eliminated wilder possibilities. This was very important to address any anxiety I could have had. His decision making was efficient & transparent and I was sent in for out patient procedure quickly. That whole part of the process was exactly in line with his base line estimate & executed flawlessly.
All went according to the schedule for the procedure, always keeping me informed ahead
Excellent, everything went smoothly and the procedure and next steps clearly explained.
I’ve been to see Dr Reffitt on a few occasions.. both times preceded recovering from illness which is the best possible outcome. The second time involved a Gastroscopy which was more comfortable and quicker than I expected and carried out in a pleasant environment at London Bridge Hospital.
Dr Reffitt approached my case whollistically, leaving nothing to chance. Very pleased with the outcome and his attention to every detail.
David explained everything very clearly in the consultation, explained things again before the procedure and had feedback on the procedure before discharge. Very pleased with the whole process and would recommend him to others.
Dr Reffitt is very knowledgeable. He explained to me everything that needs to be done from diagnosis to treatment
