I think this was the best doctors visit I have ever had. Mr Sri Mahalingam was amazing. I came in flustered with two young children. He quickly put us at ease with a calm manner and was engaging and nurturing to the children, finding them some colouring to do whilst we discussed the issue. He clearly set out the issues with diagrams, explained the diagnostic tests and showed us the scope he would use and explained that the procedure would usually only take 10 seconds, but for a child of 5 they would usually recommend a general anaesthetic. But he was completely receptive when I said my child was made of strong stuff and would be fine with a bit of tv. He agreed to do the procedure there and then and so we were able to discuss the results and the treatment at the time. In addition my child had had ear wax in her ear for over a year and I was desperate to have it removed before our holiday as she had recently become quite deaf with it. And the doctor agreed to perform micro suction on her ear again in the appointment. He was as committed as myself and my daughter to get it out on the day (despite it being quite stubborn) and my daughter walked away being able to hear better than she could in over a year! I am eternally grateful to Mr Sri Mahalingam who achieved more in one appointment than I had managed through other doctors in over a year. All very calmly, with a wonderful manner that kept myself, my daughter and my three year old all in good spirits throughout. Thank you!!

As soon as I arrived, I checked in at the reception and within five minutes I was taken up to my room. I was then asked my food choices and a nurse came and spoke to me about the bed and everything in the room not long after that, I had all my observations done and I was first on the list to go down for my procedure that all went smoothly back to my room. I had my food that I had pre-ordered and then I was checked regularly and I was later then discharge, so it all went very well and felt looked after very well and comfortable at the same time thank you.

The bathrooms were not very clean or well kept which was surprising for a private hospital. Some of the reception staff were not particularly welcoming or polite. The nurses and doctors were all lovely. It would have been helpful to know about the separate parking lot just for Nuffield health before I visited. I parked 2/3 times in the main guilford hospital car park and paid the fee which could have been avoided if I’d known there was a separate car park for Nuffield health patients

We thought that Dr Nikolaos Cholidis was excellent. He was very friendly and humorous, when appropriate, which put not only ourselves at ease, but particularly our son, Beau. He was clear and concise in his comments and what was expected to happen in the next week or 2. His mannerism and outstandingly nice nature towards us was extremely friendly and professional! We are very pleased to be in the safe hands of such a gentle, well-mannered and friendly professional.

Vedika was brilliant! I consulted her about a severe pain when bending my right knee under load bearing. She carefully tested all aspects of my knee movement before coming to a view on the likely problem and then testing against her diagnosis. She then advised on how to handle it and the likely proignosis over the next few weeks. I felt very safe in her care and was pleased with the outcome. I will see her again after my holiday and hope to have made progress

Dr Stephens takes a great interest and is “forensically” detailed in the exploration his patients journey (symptoms, test and explanation of the way forward). I’m a cyclist, Dr Stephens is a cyclist and Dr Stephens has worked professionally with competitive cyclists. He was able to provide me guidance in relation to my hobby which was deeply reassuring. At the end of the consultation he had answered all my questions without me needing too!

Dr Moore is a very approachable and pleasant man who listens attentively and adjusts his manner to the people and their circumstances. My wife and I both have reason to be under his care and we trust him entirely. After being monitored for over 18 months for heart valve issues, I was sent by Dr Moore for aortic valve replacement surgery to the most appropriate surgeon at one of the best hospitals. I cannot recommend him more highly.

I was referred to the clinic via the NHS, as I had found a lump in my breast. The clinic was easy to find with plenty of parking. The facilities were excellent and all the staff I met were friendly, professional and helpful. There is some waiting, but it was not excessive and refreshments and reading material were available. I was made to feel very comfortable at all times and it made a difficult situation much better for me.

Im unsure on how this team managed to fit me in in less than 4 hours and performed miracles From the preop to the op the team were very clear, kind and attentive. They explain and reassure you at every stage and very thorough. Every one i met treated me as a person and listen to my needs which is more than I can say with my past experience with my own GP and NHS. Thanks to all the team at Highgate 💙

The doctor was great. hCA however didn’t have the option to record patients preferred name acceonym hence resulted in my trans child being referred to as legal name at reception, which is not ideal and can be upsetting to a child going thru gender dysphoria. The doctor however was great and after I explained the situation at the start of the meeting she respected the preferred name acconym.
