Exceptional Experience at Cathedral Eye Clinic My experience at Cathedral Eye Clinic from beginning to end has been absolutely exceptional, and I honestly couldn't recommend them highly enough. From my very first consultation, I felt that I was in safe, professional and extremely capable hands. Every member of staff I dealt with was friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful. The whole process was explained clearly, and I never felt rushed or pressured into making a decision. Any questions or concerns I had were answered thoroughly, which gave me complete confidence in going ahead with laser eye surgery. The consultation The initial assessment was extremely comprehensive. I was genuinely impressed by how much time was taken to examine my eyes and explain my options. Rather than simply treating me as another patient, the team made me feel that they were genuinely interested in achieving the best possible outcome for me. The surgeon also took the time to explain exactly what the procedure would involve, what I could expect afterwards and what the potential risks and benefits were. Having everything explained so clearly made the decision to proceed much easier. The surgery When the day of the surgery arrived, I was naturally a little nervous, but the team immediately put me at ease. The professionalism throughout the procedure was outstanding. Everything was explained as it happened, and I always knew what was going on. The procedure itself was far quicker and easier than I had anticipated. What impressed me most was the reassurance from the staff. They understood that having anything done to your eyes can be daunting, and they were incredibly calm, patient and reassuring throughout. The results The difference has been incredible. Being able to wake up and see clearly without reaching for glasses or contact lenses is something I don't think I'll ever take for granted. It's difficult to explain just how liberating it feels until you've experienced it yourself. The improvement in my vision has been fantastic, and the effect it has had on my everyday life has been even better than I expected. Things that I previously took for granted now feel completely different. The aftercare The care didn't stop once the surgery was finished. The follow-up appointments were thorough, and I felt that my recovery was being properly monitored. Every interaction with the team has been professional, friendly and reassuring. It's obvious that patient care is genuinely important to them. Overall From the first consultation, through the surgery, to the aftercare, my experience with Cathedral Eye Clinic has been exceptional. Laser eye surgery is obviously a big decision, and I spent time researching my options beforehand. I can honestly say that choosing Cathedral Eye Clinic was one of the best decisions I've made. The professionalism, expertise, technology, communication and, most importantly, the people made the entire experience so much easier than I expected. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Cathedral Eye Clinic to anyone considering laser eye surgery. If you're sitting on the fence or feeling nervous about taking the plunge, I would encourage you to at least book a consultation and speak to the team. I came to see Simon Cabot after suffering from chronic upper back pain that had been affecting me every day, with very little effective relief. Before moving to the UK from Australia, I had spent years trying physiotherapy without much success. Just before relocating, I started seeing a manual therapist who recommended Simon and put me in touch with him. What really stood out was Simon’s approach. He assessed my issues more thoroughly than I had experienced previously and helped me understand what was contributing to my pain. We developed a regular treatment routine, but perhaps most importantly, he taught me techniques I could use to self-treat between appointments, which has been a huge help. Simon has also regularly checked in on my progress, and I genuinely feel that he cares about seeing his patients improve rather than simply treating them appointment to appointment. Through daily self-treatment and semi-regular sessions with Simon, I have been able to overcome what was previously debilitating chronic pain and get back to living without constant discomfort. I would highly recommend Simon to anyone struggling with persistent or chronic pain. Of all the treatment I’ve experienced over the years, his approach has been by far the most effective for me.

I was referred to Dr Midya after having a very difficult previous experience with another consultant, so I was understandably nervous about my care. However, from the moment I walked into Dr Midya’s room, I knew I was in good hands. He took the time to genuinely listen to everything I had to say, including all of my concerns and questions. He was incredibly patient, compassionate and understanding, and it was clear that he genuinely cared about me and my health. Dr Midya made sure I had every test I needed before my surgery and continued to care for me afterwards. He even took the time to check in with me over the phone following my operation. When I saw him a few weeks after surgery because I had some concerns, he was once again incredibly reassuring and more than happy to arrange further tests to make sure I was okay and that there were no complications. I cannot thank Dr Midya enough for everything he has done for me. After a year and a half of pain, he has truly given me my life back. I will always be incredibly grateful for his care, kindness and dedication. I honestly could not recommend him highly enough

At 71 I have never undergone any surgery or hospital admission. I was a qualified nurse and understandably anxious and vulnerable. My experience during the whole process has been positive feeling safe and confident in the professional care effected. My keyhole day case surgery unexpectedly became more challenging resulting in an overnight stay and follow up. The professional interventions from all involved in my care was very much appreciated from the excellent symptom control and anaesthetic to the omelette and porridge made especially for me when the chef was unavailable. Nothing was too much trouble. When the surgery took longer than anticipated the anaesthetist went to my room with ample explanation for my concerned husband. Both he and my surgeon visted me on the Saturday before my discharge. My post operative recovery has been uneventful and I was gladly discharged yesterday with positive reflection on my experience. I am grateful to all those involved with my care.

I have now come to the end of a nearly three-year journey, during which Mr Mark Lynch and his team have helped me through a significant kidney issue, from identifying a PUJ obstruction through to successfully treating it. I genuinely can’t speak highly enough of Mr Lynch. He is without doubt the friendliest, kindest and most efficient healthcare consultant I have ever met. At every stage, I felt listened to, reassured and completely confident that I was in the best possible hands. I’m now on the other side of it and my kidney pain has completely disappeared. But the impact has gone far beyond that. The whole experience prompted me to make some major changes in my life, including stopping drinking, and I haven’t looked back. I feel healthier and happier than I have in years. I will always be incredibly grateful to Mr Lynch and his team for everything they have done for me.

The wait for NHS to clear a blocked ear was too long and was advised to go private . This too was quite long . By accident I hear of this company and called them straight away. The lady who answered was extremely polite and used my first name from the start. She was so helpful, asked a few simple questions and booked me in for the following day. When I attended I was seen promptly and the audiologist was again super friendly and efficient. He put me at ease whilst explaining the procedure as we went along. After a few minutes I left a very happy man with the understanding I could return anytime to their Haslingden or Bolton Surgeries. It was £50 well spent and cheaper than o had been quoted on the local high street where I had to wait 4 weeks. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to say how fantastic this service was.

Mr Gore was incredible, for years I was told my pain was all in my head and I was ignored until I eventually got referred to Mr Gore, he let me explain all my symptoms and what I suffer with. He listened to everything I had to say. He referred me for a laparoscopy as this was the final thing for me to do as I’ve had every other test done and nothing was found. My surgery day then came around and all the staff was lovely and he came to see me before I went to theatre which calmed down my nerves. When I came round not long after, he went through the findings with photos and I was finally diagnosed with adenomyosis and my bowel was also stuck. After all these years I finally have answers as to why I have all this pain. I couldn’t thank Mr Gore enough for listening to me and believing me. He is a fantastic doctor!

I really can’t recommend Melanie enough. She is incredibly knowledgeable, not just about acupuncture but about fertility and supporting the body through pregnancy. After experiencing two early losses, Melanie helped me understand what may have been contributing to them and gave me reassurance and support along the way. I also really appreciated her honesty throughout. I’m now 20 weeks pregnant, and I really feel that Melanie’s knowledge, care and support have been such an important part of my journey. Her treatments were also hugely beneficial during the early weeks of my pregnancy, particularly in helping to ease symptoms and making what was a very anxious time feel much more manageable. I’m grateful to her and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone going through fertility or pregnancy difficulties.

Dr Deplano demonstrates care for her patients at all times and treats everyone with dignity and respect. She explains clearly the diagnosis, any test results and all options in clear and simple terms and answers any questions clearly. Her "bedside" manner is excellent and she is easy to talk to about sensitive issues. She always ensures I have understood what she has discussed and follows up the appointment with the appropriate correspondence to myself and my GP. My experiences of being a regular patient of Dr Deplano have been excellent and her expertise and care are faultless.
