The appointment itself was very positive. Dr. Robert Gordon was calm, validating, and genuinely listened. The room was quiet, warm, and set up like a cosy study, which made it feel safe rather than clinical. He explained the diagnostic impressions clearly at the end in a way that finally made sense, and it didn’t feel dismissive. I left feeling understood in a way I haven’t experienced with other services, although the level of positivity felt unexpected and left me a bit uncertain about how to interpret it. The only issue was the arrival process. My appointment was in the late evening, and reception was closed. It wasn’t clear where to check in, and I had no phone signal. I had to rely on Wi-Fi and the website photos to work out where to wait. Overall, despite the initial uncertainty about the building, the clinical experience was extremely positive. Everything went smoothly, and the assessment itself was very professional.

Mr Malek approach to patients is really good. He explains everything so well and really cares. I had an hip replacement October 2025 and the way it was all planned was really good and made it so much easier for me . All the pre opp procedure was organised on the day of my hip replacement date . My procedure again was really good so informative with what to expect and all went just as I told it would .Tjis really puts your mind at ease . Cannot believe how small the cut was given I had a new hip which helped it heal in no time and I was up and walking within a week and five weeks later played golf again just fantastic. The whole experience from my first consultation with Mr Malek to now has been first class . Would certainly recommend him to anyone who is worried about picking the right person . I have been a client of the surgery for many years going back to when Johnathan Richardson set up the practice just off Wilson's Corner. I continued to use the surgery when premises were established in Shenfield. It was when I experienced heart problems some 5 years ago that I found Dr. Athreya to be particularly helpful. He offered his private cell phone number should I need help or advice at this difficult time prior to surgery. This literally proved a lifeline. I saw Dr. Athreya on 4th December this year and as usual he was able to diagnose the problem and prescribe a treatment plan. Dr Athreya is an experienced, knowledgeable practitioner and a credit to the team at EPD. He puts patients at ease and is interested in their experiences. I was sorry to hear he was leaving for I feel sure he will be sorely missed.

There was a massive time delay in getting my discharge letter/documents After lots of emails to Binley and Coventry ( possibly some to “ differing addresses “ , I admit ) phone calls ( no call backs as promised) I eventually received an email from Binley with the discharge document attached IT WAS WRONG ! I have asked for another ACCURATE letter I feel “ a look into “ your ADMINISTRATIVE SYSTEMS should be immediately undertaken Angela said she would “ close my file “ , perhaps a shade early considering the happenings By the way your documentation quotes a 15 minute walk from Coventry Railway station to your Binley site …..,…… MORE LIKE AN HOUR ! A very professional doctor who is clearly well informed and very capable. It has been just under 7 weeks since my Total Knee Replacement on my left knee and already I am able to walk without any aids. I can straighten my leg and bend in excess of 110 degrees, and my wound has healed very well with only moderate scarring. Mt Kotecha also carried out a Total Hip Replacement (right hip) earlier in the year and I would recommend him without hesitation. His support team at Spire Parkway Hospital in Solihull have also been outstanding.

I was put at ease by Mr Stavros Karanakos, he explained the treatment for my condition, invited questions from me which he answered, and explained the procedure in detail. I left after that initial meeting feeling that I was in very capable hands. On the day of the operation I was visited by him where he outlined the procedure again, explaining the possible issues that could happen. I was visited again after the operation to check on my progress and to update me on how the procedure went.

Mr Parmar saw me after referral for root pain under an old crown, which escalated some what after my dental referral. I was in a lot of pain and very anxious given that my dentist could not deal with the issue due to proximity to the nerve and facial numbness. Mr Parmar instantly reassured me and fitted me in for surgery the day after my initial consultation, which was lucky due to timing just before the Xmas break. Thank you for helping me get out of this pain before Xmas.

The New Vic --- now known as the 'BUPA New Victoria' --- is a smallish but excellent private hospital situated just off the A3 between Wimbledon and Kingston. It has recently been enlarged and its large Reception is now most welcoming. So far as I know, the rooms are all of the ground floor and overlook well-maintained gardens. Surgical procedures that my family and I have had at the New Vic over the last thirty years have all been trouble-free and successful.

My visit was very pleasant and the staff were friendly and very helpful and checking in was very easy, but i do think for some older people how don’t have very good It technology my struggle with the checking but I am sure your friend le staff would help them if they asked and need it because sometimes we don’t always come with how help us check in

Shoulder surgery, acj repair, told to be there at 9am with a 10am start. Surgeon and anesthetist didn't show until 1120, surgery was at 1230. No explanation or apology was given. Since I'm a type 1 diabetic this was especially stressful. It's lucky I'm able to control my blood sugars or I could've been in danger, or had to cancel the surgery.
