Admin efficiency Things didn't get off to a great start when there seemed to be an issue regarding what my insurance would cover, even though I had received two confirmations from the insurer over the phone and one confirmation by email. I felt a bit like a criminal and that I was lying about the treatment being covered. In the end, the insurer had to phone Practice Plus direct to sort it out, because no-one would believe that I was telling the truth. I've never come across this problem before at the Spire or the Nuffield. Usually the admin trail works very smoothly. Cleanliness The carpet in the waiting area is dirty and is covered in tea/coffee stains. There were pubic hairs on the toilet seat in one of the toilets by the waiting area. Not great at all. Waiting Time I am a private patient and I usually use the Spire in Bristol or the Nuffield, which run to time. My appointment for an injection was 30minutes late. Unacceptable. Staff To be fair, some of the staff are lovely. But some of the staff are downright rude. When I went to speak to one of the receptionists after waiting for my appointment for over 20minutes, I simply asked to check that I was on the system. The answer "yes". Oh I said, it's just that I haven't been called yet. Is there a delay? The answer "yes" - and a roll of the eyes to say "yes and your problem with that is??" I have to have another appointment at some point, so let's hope that my next experience is better.

I was referred to Genesis by the NHS consultant oncologist to receive radiotherapy and hormone treatment for for my diagnosed advanced prostate cancer. I was seen very quickly at the Newmarket (Cambridge) branch of Genesis. The facilities are modern with state of the art CT and radiotherapy equipment. At all times the staff of all disciplines and specialties were extremely helpful and understanding. After 4 weeks (20 sessions) of radiotherapy my regular attendance finished. However I will continue to have regular reviews there with the oncologist and be given the specialist hormone therapy and other pills to be taken for 2 years. Another impressive feature at Genesis is the inclusion of gym sessions under personal guidance from two expert trainers. This is most helpful in countering the muscle loss resulting from hormone therapy. I am continuing with these sessions for some weeks after completing my treatment. In summary, Genesis Care has provided the highest possible standard of specialist cancer treatment and I would strongly recommend this organisation when radiotherapy treatment is needed.

Mr Ben Sherwood was incredibly knowledgeable and explained everything clearly, making sure my husband understood his diagnosis, treatment options, and next steps. His professionalism and confidence truly put us at ease. Throughout the entire process, I felt my husband was in the best possible hands. The department is well-organised, the facilities are spotless, and appointments ran smoothly and on time. We always felt supported and listened to. I highly recommend this urology team — their expertise, compassion, and dedication to patient care has been exceptional. They turned what could have been a stressful experience into something reassuring and positive. This whole experience has been rubbish. One of the questions asked if I had ever had polyps, which I had but 15 years ago, and because I clicked yes, recommended me as not suitable for screening...a lot can happen in 15 years, and it didn't ask me how long ago it was. The form was clunky to use and complete. In the results letter it said if I still wanted screening despite my results, to go to my results page. However when I went to that page it gave no options to select screening. It showed a Submit button on the results page, but would not let me proceed as I had not selected a service, however there were no services to select. The results letter gave me a link asking for feedback, either a quick survey or a detailed survey. When I clicked the detailed one it came up with an Error404 message. When I clicked the quick survey, it asked me questions about recent visits, were the staff friendly, was the practice clean etc, instead of asking any questions about my experience with the recent cancer screening survey...they were completely irrelevant.

When I read Mr. Keenan’s profile as I was trying to choose a surgeon to replace my arthritic hip, I felt that he was someone who would communicate as well as someone with excellent knowledge and skills to perform my needed operation, and that was confirmed upon meeting him at the initial consultation. He also displayed a quiet confidence and was very approachable at all times, which put me at ease. I was naturally very anxious about having this operation, but I completely trusted in his ability to do an excellent job. He visited me in my room before the operation, and also every day thereafter during my stay, allowing me opportunities to ask any questions that had arisen in my mind, as well as reassuring me of my progress. At the follow-up appointment he likewise reassured me about the success of the operation as well as the condition of my other joints, which had also been x-rayed prior to the procedure. I am very happy with Mr. Keenan in all aspects of this experience.

Needed a routine hernia operation, didn't want to wait 4–6 months, chose Royal Free Private Patients based on surgeon's online profile and because profits go to NHS; also I have been an NHS patient at RF. Was seen quickly for initial consultation and got surgery appointment when I wanted it. Mr Iype did a tidy job of the surgery, I am now recuperating with no complications so far and very little pain. Anaesthetists were friendly and efficient, and Severo my nurse in my ward was helpful, reassuring and friendly. I had a ward room to myself, which my wife could stay in while I had the surgery. It was clean and roomy, though a little cold – take extra blankets. The lunch I was given after surgery was pretty good, and they were able to get a sandwich for my wife too as well as teas and coffees. All in all, went very well.

On my last visit, there was a welcoming face at the desk who immediately greeted me. The place was clean and warm, and it was lovely to see the residents walking about and engaging with the staff and me. Banksfield has always been an extremely welcoming home. The staff are always friendly and approachable. The home is clean and warm, and my mother's needs are always met. The management is easy to approach and speak with about any issues or concerns. They have dealt with recent difficult events with an extreme professional manner, and have reinforced my belief that my mother is in the right place, receiving the right care. I trust their judgement and feel there is a strong partnership between the staff and me to ensure my mother's every need is met.

I arrived 30 minutes early for my appointment and when I booked in I was able to go straight through to the treatment room. The consultant and 2 nurses were so good with me. They could all see how nervous and anxious I was but made to feel at ease (even held my hand). The procedure was over very quickly without any discomfort. The part that took the longest was booking my next appointment as the computer system had gone down through no fault of anyone at the desk. After that I got myself a cup of coffee and sat and relaxed until it was time to get my bus. Altogether a much less harrowing appointment than I thought it would be!

I recently visited Dr Kathryn at The Real You Clinic for some botox. She took the time to listen to everything I said, and gave very good advice, and I am very happy with the results. Most of my lines have disappeared, ond even the couple of deep forehead lines I had, now appear so much softer. She has achieved this, while still maintaining a natural look., which was exactly what I wanted. The clinic is in a lovely setting and always feels very clean and welcoming. I would 100% recommend Dr Katnryn to anyone looking to get botox.

He’s always kind and compassionate and really listens when I’m explaining what I see at home. My sons vision is particularly complex due to multiple disabilities which makes everything that bit harder, but Mr Taylor always goes above and beyond to do what he can, within the parameters of my sons capability.

When I went for the procedure we were there 20 mins before appointment which was at 11am. I was not seen until almost 5 pm. Things happen to hold things up but it would have been nice if someone had come to speak to us and told us about the delay. Nobody can at all and my husband had to go looking for a nurse. Besides that the whole experience could not be faulted. Excellent as have been the follow ups.

He went onto explain what it was in detail and the options moving forward. The whole process was approx. 1 hour. I wish I had of used this service earlier.
