Dr John Fitzpatrick

Dr John Fitzpatrick is a dedicated Consultant Urological Surgeon who specialises in general urology and endourology. He offers comprehensive, patient-centred care for individuals experiencing a wide spectrum of urological health concerns, ranging from routine conditions to complex surgical needs. Dr Fitzpatrick maintains a focus on minimally invasive techniques, working closely with each patient to ensure clear communication, reassuring guidance, and personalised treatment plans.

Dr Fitzpatrick graduated from the University of Glasgow Medical School with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 2010, having also earned a Bachelor of Science with Honours (BSc Hons) in Genetics during his studies. After gaining international clinical experience in Australia, he completed his core surgical training in the West of Scotland. He subsequently undertook higher surgical training in urology in the North East, achieving Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Urology (FRCS Urol). To further refine his technical expertise, he completed sub-specialty fellowship training in endourology, laparoscopic surgery, and renal transplantation. Dr Fitzpatrick is a professional member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons.

In his clinical practice, Dr Fitzpatrick possesses extensive expertise in the management of kidney stone disease and minimally invasive urological procedures. His surgical interests include laparoscopic nephrectomy (keyhole surgery to remove the kidney) for benign and malignant conditions, as well as live donor kidney transplantation procedures.
