Dr Bordbar completed a six-year medical degree at the University of Southampton School of Medicine, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and an additional Master’s degree in Medical Sciences (MMedSc). Following qualification, he undertook broad-based postgraduate training at Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, gaining experience in general surgery, respiratory medicine, gastroenterology, ear, nose and throat surgery, and geriatrics.

Dr Bordbar has also completed the Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP) through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). He integrates clinical nutrition as a core pillar of his practice, using evidence-based lifestyle interventions to address the unique biochemical needs of each patient.
Dr Bordbar has completed specialist training in Western Medical Acupuncture with the British Medical Acupuncture Society in London. He is a member of the College of Medicine and Integrated Health, the Independent Doctors Federation, and is registered with the General Medical Council. I can't praise Doctor Bordbar enough! Being a private GP he is obviously able to take the time to discuss everything thoroughly and in as much detail as you want. He has a friendly manner, and his knowledge seems very detailed in things you would only expect a specialist to know about. I would strongly recommend anyone thinking of trying a private GP to try Doctor Bordbar. It's a small price to pay for peace of mind about you health.

I was due to fly on holiday but came down with an uncomplicated but annoying condition a couple of days before . I could not get an appointment with my NHS GP, so made an appointment with Dr Bordbar at short notice . He was very thorough and helpful and as a result I was able to travel .
I have been attending the clinic for acupuncture and it has really helped relieve some of my IBS symptoms and improved my general well being. Dr Mehrdad is professional, informative and has made me feel comfortable during the sessions. I highly recommend!
