Mr Mohammed Madi

Mr Mohammed Madi is a Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon in London specialising in full endoscopic (keyhole) spine surgery, minimally invasive spinal surgery and the treatment of scoliosis and spinal deformity in adults and adolescents. He sees private patients at The Princess Grace Hospital and The Harley Street Clinic in Marylebone, The Wellington Hospital (St John's Wood, Elstree and Golders Green) and RNOH Private Care (Stanmore and Bolsover Street), and is a consultant at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust.

He treats sciatica, slipped (herniated) discs, spinal stenosis, nerve root pain, neck and arm pain, cervical myelopathy, back pain, spondylolisthesis, foot drop, sacroiliac joint pain and coccydynia, as well as spinal fractures, infection and tumours. Most decompression and discectomy procedures are performed as day cases through an incision under one centimetre using uniportal or biportal (UBE) endoscopic techniques, with faster recovery and less muscle damage than open surgery. He also offers navigated and robot assisted spinal surgery, spinal injections and non surgical management.

Mr Madi qualified from the University of Manchester (MBChB 2012, MRes 2011) and completed higher orthopaedic training in the North West of England before fellowships in complex spinal surgery at Leeds Teaching Hospitals and spinal disorders at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital and Alder Hey Children's Hospital. He trained in endoscopic spine surgery in South Korea under Professors Hyeun-Sung Kim and Dong Hwa Heo and has co-authored textbook chapters and peer reviewed publications on endoscopic spine surgery. He also undertakes medicolegal expert witness work.
