20/10 I was recommended to Dr Alek by multiple friends, including one who is a doctor herself and trained under him. He came highly, highly recommended and is known as the best in the business — and I can completely understand why. From the moment I walked into the practice, I was warmly greeted by Sam, the practice administrator. She was friendly, welcoming, and made me feel right at home. Thank you, Sam! I’ve seen many aesthetic doctors and practitioners before, and Dr Alek is by far the best I’ve ever experienced. Previously, consultations felt rushed — numbing cream applied, a quick question about what I wanted, and straight into the procedure. With Dr Alek, it was completely different. We began with a thorough consultation where we discussed my concerns, the procedures I was interested in, and everything I’ve previously had done — including where, when, and any medications I’m on. He then did a full facial assessment, looking at proportions, symmetry, and structure. He carefully felt for any existing filler or lumps, explained what they were, and clearly walked me through what we can and can’t do moving forward. Everything was explained in a way that was detailed yet easy to understand. We created a thoughtful plan of action together, and what stood out most was that he never once tried to “sell” me on anything — something I’ve experienced with every other practitioner before. It’s immediately clear that he truly cares about his patients, has an incredible passion for what he does, and an exceptional eye for detail. He really knows his craft. Today we did Botox, and it was genuinely pain-free. He is precise, intentional, and incredibly gentle. As soon as I left, I couldn’t wait to call my husband and tell him how amazing the experience was. I’ve now officially joined my group of friends who cannot recommend Dr Alek highly enough. I have been very happy with my overall experience at Vision Scotland Edinburgh. The staff were both friendly and professional. I was well informed regarding my choices and the procedure. I have been thrilled with the result of the cataract surgery. I was given an appointment very soon after the referral. I would however like to let you know how I felt the experience on the day of the operation could have been improved. Firstly I was not sent the Post Op information which would have been most helpful to read before the procedure. Secondly I got very cold in theatre and was given a blanket but it did take me ages to warm up. It would have been better to have been given a blanket before the procedure started. There is a lot of cold water being used which does add to the chill. Thirdly I was not told to bring sunglasses for the journey home or to bring analogies both of which I would very much appreciated as I lived over a hour away. On the journey home I became extremely uncomfortable. Finally the roof of my mouth and tongue got a little burnt I think by the coffee as they must have been a little bit anaesthetised still when I had the coffee. The coffee however i have to say was absolutely welcome and the best thing along with the toasted teacake. I found it very reassuring to have a telephone number to call which I did use. I also very much appreciate the phone call from the nurse a couple of days post op. I hope you find the above comments of use. I do not wish to criticise as overall it was an extremely good experience and I would and have already recommended Vision Scotland. ( I did tell my neighbour to ask for a blanket!)

He took the time to properly explain my condition and walked me through all the available treatment options. I found his explanations very clear and easy to understand, and I felt confident that he really knew what he was talking about. Throughout the consultation, I felt listened to and supported. He answered all my questions patiently and made sure I felt comfortable with the plan we discussed. I left the appointment feeling reassured, informed, and pleased with the treatment plan going forward. I would definitely recommend Dr Hughes to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate dermatologist.

Mr. Javier Moraleda is everything you’d hope for in an ENT specialist and more. From the very first appointment, he made me feel listened to, reassured, and genuinely cared for — not rushed through like a number on a clipboard. He explains things clearly (no confusing medical jargon, takes time to answer questions, and approaches treatment with calm confidence. You can tell he really knows his stuff — the kind of expertise that makes you relax and think, “Ah yes, I’m in very safe hands.” Professional, thorough, and kind — with excellent outcomes to match. If you’re looking for an ENT specialist who combines skill with great bedside manner, Mr. Moraleda is an easy 5 stars. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to family and friends.

My experience of the hospital was very good. The staff were amazing especially Jayne on Day surgery and David at the ward at night. The only downside that came to my attention is being told that there was no lactose free milk for my tea. The lady, I did catch her name, told me that she wasn’t aware of my overnight stay. She asked me if I was aware that I was staying overnight and I replied ‘yes’. She then went on to ask if I had put it in my forms prior to attending and I said yes. She kept on going on it wasn’t her fault she had been told. A bit of advice would be that she overshared. She clearly sorted the problem as the following morning someone had picked up the milk and I had it with my tea.

The physiotherapist seemed unconcerned by the pain I have been experiencing for nearly a year. He mentioned that I had full movement and so he was not concerned. He kept saying that he would not give me another steroid injection without acknowledging that I didn’t want one. He told me to do some exercises which he showed me how to do once and gave me no paperwork or YouTube link that might assist when I got home. I tried to ask how long I should wait before I made any further action and he said there is no more treatment. I felt like an inconvenience and wish I had gone somewhere else. I would never recommend anyone to see him again. He really made me feel small and insignificant.

Amazing Team Lorraine and Rebecca - worked with me and supported me this last year without there knowledge and guidance I would not have come this far. The support service has been fantastic… from start and every step of the way the girls have helped me over come any fears as this has been a challenging time with having a breast cancer diagnosis , and to over come these moments we need professionals that have that caring human touch, the medical expertise and knowledge that has helped me each step of the way. My journey was has not been easy .. but they have worked With me along the way, and I feel I am in a good place ❤️

On entering the theatre I was greeted by a lovely member of staff (chaperone) she explained a brief description of what I was having done. Dr Dimitri explained the procedure in full and informed me each time he injected the vein, the nurse reassured me, held my hand as it was a little painful. The Dr then told me the aftercare should I be in pain or bleeding. All in all a great experience, it’s funny I always look forward to surgery as the doctors want to get me better. A great service. The only advice would be to give potential customers advice before having the procedure as I live alone and the instructions were difficult for me to read and I had to buy in sterile swabs . Otherwise perfectly preformed but painful and difficult the first night even though my daughter stayed one night .
