Mr Nayef Aslam-Pervez

Mr Nayef Aslam-Pervez is a Consultant Sports Knee and Hip Surgeon with over 19 years of surgical experience. He leads the Soft Tissue Knee Service and Knee Research Unit at the major trauma centre where he practices, managing complex referrals from across the region.

Hip and Knee Joint Replacement Specialist

Mr Aslam-Pervez specialises in partial knee replacement, total knee replacement and total hip replacement, with a strong focus on precision, alignment and long-term implant performance.

He holds a Diploma in Computer-Aided Orthopaedic Surgery and routinely performs computer-navigated knee replacement surgery. His hip replacements are meticulously planned using advanced digital templating software to enhance accuracy and optimise recovery.

He has trained and worked in high-volume joint replacement centres including the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital and University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust, where he gained extensive exposure to robotic joint replacement platforms and advanced image-guided surgical systems.

His interest in surgical innovation has led him to develop his own augmented reality surgical platform, combining principles from robotic and computer-guided techniques to further enhance intra-operative precision.

He has undertaken advanced fellowships and visited specialist centres in the USA, Germany and France to refine his techniques. He runs a dedicated Knee Research Unit focused on improving outcomes in sports knee surgery and is passionate about restoring function and enabling patients — including competitive athletes — to return confidently to activity.

He holds a Diploma in FIFA Football Medicine, reflecting his commitment to evidence-based athlete care and return-to-sport rehabilitation.

Training and Background

Mr Aslam-Pervez studied medicine at the University of Leeds and completed his orthopaedic training through the Yorkshire school of surgery run-through programme.

He has undertaken five advanced fellowships in knee surgery, hip surgery and sports reconstruction and remains actively involved in research, surgical innovation and education.
