Had a very warm welcoming at Abbington house, staff and peers were very nice. Room was nice, quite overwhelming to start with, with it being my first time at rehab. I then started to feel more comfortable with the help of the staff and my peers, putting me out of my comfort zone probably was the best thing they could of done otherwise I wouldn’t of been so open. Staff very accommodating, my therapist was very empathetic, I got on with her very well, opened up slowly but eventually we got there. I still feel I have stuff to work on, my co dependency and self love but I know that will come in time, from outside sources, just think they should not of mentioned that I would be getting DBT therapy whilst I was here as that was one of the selling points to me coming to Abbington house. The only other down side was prior to coming in I was told I would have at least one, one to one a week. But that did not happen for the the first 3 weeks, so felt a bit let down, so did my parents which they then raised there concerned to Mikey, who was quick to come up with 2 options to compensate this, which I thought was very good.

An excellent experience over all ; - Making an appointment to see Mr. Kevin Oneill was handled both professionally and warmly by Ruby Bhangu . - The receptionist ( sorry can not remember her name )at the welcome desk On Monday 8th 5.oo pm , was again friendly and professional - My appointment with Mr. ONeill was brilliant , clear discussion's and clear explanations for him which made me feel confident and in good hands , his demeanour was excellent and he talked with me in a way that I fully understood. - After my appointment MR. ONeill personally handed me over to the young lady who brought me to his office and she kindly directed me to one of the assistants who booked my MRI and Xray . Both of these team were again very professional but also made me feel they truly cared . Over all I feel extremely thankful to have such support .

I had a recent admission for a Discectomy under the care of Mr Manoj-Thomas. The entire experience from initial appointment to the actual surgery was just over 6 weeks. During this time I received regular communication to prepare me for my surgery. I was overwhelmed by the high standard of care I received as an in patient from the nursing and medical team. All professionals were courteous calm and maintained my dignity and trust during an anxious time and I am incredibly grateful. My follow up care is continuing and I was very impressed with the phone call I received 2 days post discharge to ensure I was continuing to recover. St Joseph’s epitomises the experience all patients should receive irrespective of whether they are private or NHS patients. Thank you so much.

Impossible to speak to anyone in Cambridge which was very frustrating. am used to being seen privately and this did not come up to the usual standard. Although the staff were very polite and friendly I felt that nobody was sure what to do and did not fill me with confidence. I have never gone privately and only seen the surgeon on the day of the operation with no follow up appointment with the actual surgeon. I was left with a cut on the skin to the left of my eye and an indentation across my eyebrow which I feel had probably been caused by the clamp used to keep my eyelid open. I was left feeling that for some reason the private sector in Cambridge was struggling. A great pity.

Dr Dominic Mort

My visit to see Dr Dominic Mort was informative and really helped me to understand a pretty rare occurrence. It confirmed my suspicions that what I was experiencing was not seizures, but a "Jaw Jerk", an involuntary biting action whilst asleep causing sometimes deep lacerations to my tongue and mouth. I was extremely happy with the consultation and forward plan. I would definitely recommend Dr Mort to anyone. He was professional, precise, caring and put both my husband and myself at ease straight away.

they were very considerate considering I was terrified as once before I had to press the button. I couldn’t go through with it and I had to go to an open scanner as they were about to place me through. I had to stop them. They gave me time to recompose and got me to look backwards and upwards and out through the exposed end and that made the whole experience different can’t tell you how relieved I am to get through that. I’m highly claustrophobic so yes, the experience was a positive one.

The staff were excellent, highly professional and attentive. Tommy Chan was also reassuring and supportive. He was kind and very personable. He put me at ease. I was able to ask questions and the clinicians were very helpful. I would have liked a recap of exactly what the procedure would entail but I forgot to request this. I’m not sure if I have wires in my toe but I think I do. I’m very grateful to the whole team for their excellent care. Thank you!

I was overly anxious going into my surgery as it was my first , I was also worried about the anaesthetic making me nauseous. I didn’t need to worry at all , I raised my concerns and the staff were so ,so nice and reassured me.. Recovery was very good , if it wasn’t for the obvious scaring i felt absolutely fine , no pain at all .. Thank you all again , you made my fear of surgery a pleasant experience that I didn’t need to worry myself over .

Easy booking and what I felt were good time slots available. Considering the time the doctor spent on me against the rushed atmosphere of NHS GP services, I felt I got good value for money and a more thorough service. I will use Private GP Extra again if this current issue continues or if I/one of my family have a complex issue that I don't believe the NHS have the time/skill to handle in a standard GP setting.

I saw Dr Hlaing as I have been suffering from hair loss. I was immediately put at ease and felt relaxed and reassured by her manner and approach. She was very knowledgeable and did not rush the consultation. She answered my questions clearly and showed kindness and compassion. I felt heard and cared for. She gave me good practical guidance. I came away feeling much much happier and hopeful.

I had both cataracts treated by Mr Tatham with intraocular lenses fitted. The whole experience was excellent and I no longer need glasses for distance. The quality of vision exceeded my expectations. I had good discussion about the sort of lens that would suit my lifestyle, the procedure was quick and comfortable and the outcome has delighted me. Would recommend without hesitation.

I have struggled with alcoholism for 30 years and haven't got a huge amount from other rehabs but this place, TLC Finchley, has been phenomenally helpful. The staff are excellent at their job, and the culture of the place is kind, caring and respectful. After three weeks I have learned a great deal and I feel well again with sensible awareness of the journey ahead.

He was undeniably an expert in his field and listened attentively before making judgement, then followed up with appropriate information, tests and a plan. Sent information on previous tests and appointments prior to my visit. Took along this and other information some of which was asked for. Dr Harding had read my NHS records prior to arrival. He was sympathetic and attentive. He asked lots of questions and examined me. I did not feel hurried. Plan of action discussed, explained and decided.

Dr Jeczmien is very friendly which helps you to relax and answer questions which can make you feel uneasy but his calm manner soon puts paid to that. His explanations regarding the next step for me moving forward were clear. My hours consultation before I knew it was over and I look forward to the next phase.
