Directions terrible! Sole Traders, which was given as a guide, no longer exists. The clinic is not IN the shopping mall, it’s outside. I’m talking about Watford, by the way.

I had both eyes treated for cataracts. In my opinion I was under prepared for the experience. The operating theatre was cold. During the operation the collar of my clothes became drenched and when at the end I asked about this I was told, rather dismissively that it was saline solution. I think I should have been given at the very least a towel round my neck to prevent my clothes being drenched. Fortunately it was a warm day: if it had been in winter I would have been very cold. Post opearatively I was not forewarned of how difficult it would be to see. I think if people have both cataracts replaced they should be warned that they should have somebody at home with them: I was unable to see for two days. I still feel shocked by how little care I was shown: how little I was forewarned. But I am glad that I made the decision to have both eyes operated upon as I will not have to repeat the experience. I do hope that you take these comments on board. I would describe the care as cavalier.

It was very busy - but Esay greeted us and explained that we had to wait for dilation of the pupils then gave us a rough timeline. Dr Zormpas came and did something in a side room then told us it would be about 5 mins which it was before being called in. The procedure was fairly quick and painless and the nurse in recovery was very thorough explaining the drops and keeping everything sterile. Couldn’t fault the service at all.
