The surgeon was efficient in his analysis and delivery but the time before he arrived was uncertain which wasn't encouraging. The desk staff had to ring him to find where he was 10 minutes after my appointment was due. As a private patient I felt there was no difference in attention or comfort to any NHS patient but in the end the outcome was the same my eye sight was restored.

Unfortunately I got off to a bad start as on the original planned date I was fully prepped with eyedrops in and pellet etc having travelled by taxi. Then I was told they had the wrong lens and I would have to reschedule. I had cleared my diary for 2 weeks and then with the new date my diary was full again, so it was enormously disruptive and having geared myself up for the surgery, it was quite distressing to get a taxi home with nothing having been done. However, when I went in at the new date I had the procedure which took a week to settle down with severe pain and blurring. I am glad to say that this has now settled down well and I am very pleased with my sight as a result.

I was going to have to wait 2 months the have my eye laser treatment through the NHS so chose to go privately as I needed to be able to drive. I was given an appointment the very next day and my vision is now clear both for distance and reading. I am very pleased.
