My experience with Albion Dental has been brilliant from start to finish of my treatment. My dentist Dr Ghadimi is very kind, and is very skilled with the procedures he can perform. I have severe hypodontia and even after extensive work throughout my life I was not quite confident with my teeth, so after some discussion and planning, I decided to pursue new crowns for my top 4 teeth; a big decision for me but it has been well worth it and I have no regrets. The treatment was explained well, and my questions were answered fully and meticulously. The nature of the treatment was more cosmetic compared to previous work I've had done, and a big financial endeavour for me, but there are payment plans available to make it more affordable and accessible. The dental assistants are really lovely and look after you well, and the receptionists are always a ray of sunshine when entering the building; their client care skills are exemplary. Some advice for if you have a complex condition and have had a lot of dental work done before coming to the practice like myself, would be to make sure to let the clinic know as much information as possible, as there was some communication that needed to be had to get on level ground with the team. But this was to be expected for me with my long medical history and the clinic was very open and receptive to my concerns about my teeth, and devised a plan sensitively and effectively to help me feel more confident with my smile, something I've felt self-conscious about since I was little! So I would recommend this clinic to anyone for routine, or more involved treatment, and am grateful for everything they've done for me!

Firstly, I’d like to comment on the question: “How would you rate your provider's bedside manner/professionalism?” In my view, this combines two very different attributes. Bedside manner and professionalism are not synonymous, and grouping them together makes it difficult to provide an accurate rating. For example, I found the consultant to be highly professional, perhaps even overly formal, which, in my opinion, contributed to a lack of empathy in our interactions. While I understand the need for a formal approach, particularly in a medical setting, I believe there is a skill in being able to read a patient and adapt communication style accordingly. A more empathetic tone would have made a significant difference to my experience. I also gave a lower score for “explanations” as I felt the level of detail shared during our discussions was insufficient. A specific example: I was recommended a medication that was described as likely to cause hot flushes. However, after doing my own research, I discovered that this medication actually induces medical menopause, something I feel should have been clearly explained at the time. As someone who is quite detail-oriented, I’ve found that our consultations have lacked the depth and clarity I need to fully understand the implications of my treatment options. This has led to confusion and a feeling of being under-informed, which I found quite concerning.

We feel so fortunate to have been able to have our daughter delivered at the Portland Hospital. Our room, the food, the care, everything was exceptional. Most of all we are grateful to the incredible midwives, who looked after us with such warmth and patience. We felt so safe in the knowledge that one of these incredible women was there around the clock to look after us and guide us through the early days and hours of our journey into parenthood. The various healthcare professionals (paediatrician, physio, lactation consultant, pharmacist) as well as the registrar who came to see us were all exceptional individuals too and it was incredibly helpful to be seen by all of them during our hospital stay. A special thank you goes to Pat, our amazing midwife, who accompanied us on the day of our birth. We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful midwife to be with us on this incredible journey.

I would highly rate the care that I was given throughout my time in the hospital and I would like to commend the nursing staff in particular, however I have one major issue which has left me very dissastisfied. During my first appointment I was told that I needed the socket of my hip replaced and was given a price for that procedure. Then I met with another doctor who said that said if the whole hip needed replaced it would cost considerably more and quoted a price up to £12000 more if this work needed to be done. It was confirmed after the operation that I only needed the socket replaced but was charged the price quoted for a full hip replacement without any explanation. I would like to hear from someone about resolving this issue.

After first coming to the clinic a couple of years back, through good discussion and working together to reach level ground regarding my complicated previous dental history and treatment for severe hypodontia, Dr Ghadimi has been a brilliant dentist and supported me excellently throughout my recent dental treatment, where I have had 4 new e-max crowns fitted. My expectations have been managed well each step of the way, my questions answered fully, and the treatment has been carried out skilfully and meticulously. I'm really pleased with the outcome of my treatment and couldn't recommend him more. I'm really grateful to him and his team for taking such great care of me :)

I arrived early as I had been unsure of the volume of traffic at that time of day. I saw my consultant at the time that I had expected to see her. The consultation was exactly as I would have expected from previous visits...she was kind and polite and every inch a professional. She was clear in her explanations, asked my views on the treatment and answered every question clearly. The procedure required that I remained on site for a while and, when it became necessary, she saw me again to revisit the treatment plan. A totally helpful experience and I have no reservations in recommending both the Nuffield and my consultant to friends and family.

We have seen Dr. Jawad for both of our boys over the last few years, and I have never met a doctor as kind and professional with children. My eldest son has always been very scared of doctors, but Dr. Jawad made him feel completely comfortable — it was the first time I had ever seen my son so at ease during an appointment. Dr. Jawad always takes his time, carries out a thorough check-up, and treats the children with such care and respect. Honestly, he is the best doctor we have ever seen, and we are so grateful for the way he looks after our boys.

It was a pleasure meeting Neda. She was totally professional, explained the procedures thoroughly and answered all my questions. I had no worries whatsoever. On the day of the operations, she came to see me and asked if I had any questions. I replied no. Saw the great anaesthetist, went to sleep, woke to a nurse sitting next to me. Dr. Hickey was charming, very explicit about the spot on my knee, which he pointed out is situated in an awkward place if surgery is required. I am of course reluctant to go ahead with the surgery if, as he pointed out, I would be laid up for a month. I wonder if he could perhaps look at an easier method if it turns out to be cancerous..
