About Mr Chris Mann
Mr Christopher Mann is a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon with specialist interests in bowel cancer, advanced pelvic oncology, inflammatory bowel disease, pelvic floor and hernia surgery, with a particular emphasis on laparoscopic and keyhole surgery.
Mr Mann treats a wide range of general surgical and colorectal conditions. He is a bowel cancer screening colonoscopist and performs endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy and polypectomy. He treats perianal conditions such as haemorrhoids, anal fissures, pilonidal sinus disease and skin tags, as well as general surgical conditions such as lipoma and hernia. He also has an interest in treating patients with faecal incontinence and rectal prolapse.
Mr Mann graduated from the University of Leicester Medical School and undertook most of his surgical training in Leicester. He also completed a Royal College of Surgeons Fellowship focused on colorectal surgery. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland, The Pelvic Floor Society, PelvEx, the British Medical Association and the British Hernia Society. He has an interest in surgical education and is the Training Program director for General Surgery in the East Midlands (South) region. He is also a member of the National General Surgery Specialist Advisory Commitee.

I had an excellent experience from the initial appointment through surgery and follow up. I could not fault the care, expertise, professionalism and empathy.
