About Miss Seok Ling Ong
Miss Seok Ling Ong is a Consultant Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) and General Surgeon with over two decades of experience. Since qualifying from the University of Leicester in 2003 with an honours degree, she has dedicated her career to the surgical management of complex liver, gallbladder, and pancreatic conditions, as well as general surgical procedures. She has particular expertise in laparoscopic procedures including performing laparoscopic cholecystectomies as well as both laparoscopic and open hernia repair surgery.
Miss Ong is the chair of the Hepatobiliary and pancreatic multidisciplinary team at the Peterborough City Hospital, advising on the management of both benign and malignant HPB conditions. She is also the Governance and Audit Lead for General Surgery at Peterborough City Hospital.
Miss Ong completed her surgical training in the East Midlands and went onto earn a postgraduate medical doctorate (MD) from the University of Leicester with research focussed on liver perfusion and ablation. She also spent a year as a fellow in HPB surgery at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge.
Known for her clinical precision and approachable personality, Miss Ong is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for her patients through modern surgical techniques.

I had my gallbladder removed by Dr Seok Ling Ong. I used AI to find the best surgeon and its number 1 recommendation was her. I could not have asked for a better surgeon. She was lovely and extremely knowledgeable, happy to answer any questions. My surgery went perfectly and I’ve had no problems at all. Her placement and skill of incisions just outstanding! I did not require any pain medication after surgery and my recovery was extremely fast. I would highly recommend her, you will be in expert hands!

Due to this being my first ever operation I have to say what a lovely experience (apart from the discomfort I’m in now obviously) the care I received was outstanding, the explanation of the procedure wasn’t rushed. Miss Ong was lovely and so nice to meet her beforehand.
