Moving to a new country was supposed to be an exciting fresh start, but instead I found myself struggling with depression and anxiety in ways I'd never experienced before. She understood the complexity of what I was going through - it wasn't just about feeling low, it was about grief, identity, belonging, and rebuilding my life from scratch. She created such a compassionate space whilst also helping me develop practical strategies to manage both the depression and anxiety. I'm still in therapy, but the difference is remarkable. I can handle difficult days so much better now. I've got tools that actually work, and more importantly, I've found hope again. I can see a future here that feels possible, even good. The anxiety doesn't consume me the way it did, and the depression has lifted enough that I can engage with my new life rather than just surviving it. I was referred to Genesis by the NHS consultant oncologist to receive radiotherapy and hormone treatment for for my diagnosed advanced prostate cancer. I was seen very quickly at the Newmarket (Cambridge) branch of Genesis. The facilities are modern with state of the art CT and radiotherapy equipment. At all times the staff of all disciplines and specialties were extremely helpful and understanding. After 4 weeks (20 sessions) of radiotherapy my regular attendance finished. However I will continue to have regular reviews there with the oncologist and be given the specialist hormone therapy and other pills to be taken for 2 years. Another impressive feature at Genesis is the inclusion of gym sessions under personal guidance from two expert trainers. This is most helpful in countering the muscle loss resulting from hormone therapy. I am continuing with these sessions for some weeks after completing my treatment. In summary, Genesis Care has provided the highest possible standard of specialist cancer treatment and I would strongly recommend this organisation when radiotherapy treatment is needed.

I had jaw surgery and a wisdom tooth removed, Mr Chiu and his team were very clear about what they would be doing and how my recovery would be. I did have particularly bad swelling and a tough recovery but Mr Chiu was very helpful at explaining all of this and providing information on how to properly recover. The other team members were also very helpful and recommended I rent the face mask cooler to aide my recovery which really helped speed up the swelling going down. My post ops have been extremely good and informative and I have left each one very happy both with the appointment and the progress following surgery. I have anxiety and Mr Chiu was really kind at putting me at ease and letting me know I could take my medication. I am really happy with the outcome of the surgery and how I have recovered. I have had a really positive experience with Mr Chiu and his team and am extremely grateful to all of them!

I met with my surgeon online. The online facility works extremely well. I noticed that I was sent two new reminders of the meeting on the day with direct links. I like this new approach very much. As always, the surgeon, Prof J Murphy, was prompt and conducted the consultancy with detailed feedback, including the sharing onscreen of a third party report which was extremely helpful and informative. Prof J Murphy has an extremely open, honest and clear approach to discussing aspects of the individual patient’s health that are not easy to discuss. This allows the patient to feel their case is being carefully monitored, considered and options, going forward are shared and discussed with them. This surgeon engenders great trust in his review of information, liaison with others specialists, communication, surgical treatment and overall management of the individual patient’s case.

I have been under Mr Rudol’s care for the last 9 weeks , following an MRI that revealed I required spinal surgery . This came as a great shock as it was such an acute event . Mr Rudol took time to talk me through my imaging , showed me exactly where the issue was , what the surgery entailed and recovery time . Mr Rudol kindly and eloquently discussed risks , expectations and really eased the process and fear of the surgery, he encouraged questions from myself and my partner and answered with detail and honesty. My surgery was a success and the after care has been as compassionate and professional as my pre operative journey .

My experience at Harley Street Hearing was in every respect exceptional. As a violinist I was very nervous about using hearing aids. However all the help and encouragement I received from Matt Frost (also a musician as well as an audiologist!) made it possible for me to find the perfect solution. Matt encouraged me to bring my violin to one of our consultations so that we could perfectly adjust everything to my needs. I received very clear instructions in how to use the hearing aid, and can have any help I need on line or in person going forward. Thank you and can’t recommend highly enough!
