I identified Dr Stephens as someone who might be more suited to my age and sporting interests than my previous cardiologist. The difference in approach was like chalk and cheese. Dr Stephens explained the hunch he had, was willing to share surprise that a key test had been overlooked, it was arranged quickly and delivered professionally by what seemed a very experienced and knowledgeable team at Northwick Park (Mary and colleague). The results accorded with the hunch and were extremely good news. This was against a backdrop of having been advised to do three months detraining, not easy for me but doable if necessary, but without any real assurance that it would lead to a diagnosis. Twenty seven days of booked holidays cancelled with deposits refunded, the prospect of beta blockers for a protracted period, not able to give blood, not possible to continue with my previous travel insurer and always with the doubt in my mind that there may be an undiagnosed significant heart issue. I was amazed by the clarity with which the advice was given, the quality of the advice, the personableness of Dr Stephens and the speed/clarity of the communications. after the two appointments. I got lucky in being given enough info by a friend to take the decision to get myself seen by Dr Stephens. The experience has truly been life changing and I can't think of any other way of describing it. To say I am extremely grateful is a total understatement. I was also impressed by Libby and others in the administration team at Maidstone who seemed to handle everything efficiently and slickly. Overall, entirely faultless and massively impressive. My first appointment was arranged within a week. After my appointment I was offered surgery in exactly one more week. Everything was great, lovely facilities, lovely staff. Everyone was very friendly and constantly being offered coffee etc. On every occasion I was taken either on time or early. I was put at ease and everything was fully explained and what the best lenses for me would be, based on my history and interests. On the day of surgery, everything went fine and there was no pain whatsoever, merely a strange feeling as the surgeon did his stuff. Afterwards I was given advice re eye drops and aftercare and again all great. Everything was fine when I got home, merely discomfort and that soon passed. I had plenty of people checking and following up that all was well. Finally, I had a follow up visit after a few weeks and again everything was great and very professional and I was advised to see my optician and GP. Throughout my time, the service I received was first class.

I recently had my gallbladder removed by Miss Pissanou after seeking her for a second opinion. From the very beginning, she was thorough, honest, and incredibly reassuring. She advised that while gallbladder removal was necessary, I should first prioritise a cyst on my kidney. She immediately referred me to an excellent surgeon who successfully removed the cyst, which unfortunately turned out to be cancerous. I am extremely grateful for her judgement and prompt action, which made all the difference. When it came to my gallbladder operation, Miss Pissanou was exceptionally informative, taking great care to explain all the risks and ensuring that both my wife and I fully understood the procedure. The surgery itself was very successful, and my recovery was remarkably quick. I cannot recommend Miss Pissanou highly enough for her professionalism, expertise, and outstanding patient care.

I had a Teams meeting today with Angela about my nutrition, as I’m looking for ways to gain weight. She was completely non judgemental, incredibly warm, and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole conversation. She never made me feel bad about my eating habits and was very kind and understanding in the way she worked with me. She gave me really sound advice and clear, practical feedback on how I can improve things going forward, particularly around healthy weight gain. I wasn’t sure what to expect going into the meeting. I half expected to be told to cut out lots of foods and start eating things I didn’t like but instead, she took the time to understand what I like and don’t like to eat. Overall, she was extremely helpful, supportive, and approachable, and I genuinely appreciated the session. I thought she was great.

Apprehensicw,about todays appointment lead to an afib episode prior ,on.arival professionally asked whether a studenr could be present i had no objection. He allowed me to explain my situation history and current feelings ,i did not feel ant time pressures and felt he was genuiniely listening to my concerns. Presented my options regarding my afib maling a point many tines to reassure me about my issue. I felt at ease,he didnt hokd back about my bicuspid aorta valve preparinf me for what im sure will inevitably be needing to be replaced. Talked about my exersising and current routine and advised to keep up every thing im doing suggested no increase to my medicatiin as already bradycardic and in fact this might be a trgger this i was not aware. Overall a very professional dr whom i would have no quarms about seeing

Firstly Mr Manjaly empathy and the time given, and how compassionate he was about my situation was outstanding He gave clear instruction and didn’t go into things to confuse me, as he took me through each stage carefully, which really helped, the outcome ideas he gave were really realistic. Working through all of these we could then work out that the Osia device was a good option. Communication for surgery was quick and consise, he came himself to see me and explained things clearly and took on how I was feeling. After over half a century being totally deaf in one ear, isolated, depression what Mr Manjaly has been able to do for me has changed my life and I had nothing but excellent treatment.

I loved all the staff that took care of me. I was very well looked after. My only small complaint was the lady that brought the food around kept leaving my door open and blocked half the TV and at one point my partner was helping me on the toilet with the bathroom door open and she walked in to ask if we wanted a cup of tea then left my room door open so anyone in the hall way could see me on the toilet, he was holding me up so couldn't go and close the door right away which made me feel a little bit conscious. Other than that the care staff were amazing surgeon and anaesthetist were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this hospital.

She was very thorough and ordered further test to ensure my hormones and vitamins were in line. She spent time to explain the medical facts around blood sugar and insulin and her advice on changing my diet has improved my well-being dramatically. I would definitely recommend her as through diet instead of medication I am tackling my health issues and hopefully lowering my risk of getting diabetes.

My daughter has come out after five weeks at rehab - she was a mess when she went in and we were worried for her safety and mental health with the drugs she was taking. So far we have seen a transformation - cautious to say but it feels like we have her back. We’re taking it slowly as a family and aftercare seems to be very helpful and we’ll be doing more family therapy, going to al anon etc. she had a really positive rehab experience overall.

I visited the clinic to discuss removal of a lesion on my eyelid. Having spoken to the consultant Mt Murray I decided to have it removed. I returned two weeks later to have the surgery. All the staff were very supportive and took time to explain the whole procedure to me. In particular Jenny took great care of me and made sure I felt as relaxed as I could be. Everything went to plan and I would like to thank everybody that was involved.

I was happy about the appointment and MRI.But approaching for the report,it is too difficult.I tried to contact via the phone around 8 times but no answer.In the evening I managed to speak to someone.I sent all the requirements by email to get reports but I haven’t received the reports until Wednesday morning. Wednesday midday tried again but still same ,no one answering the phone..still waiting for the response.
