About Mr Saurabh Odak
Mr Saurabh Odak is a highly skilled Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, with extensive experience in treating upper limb pathologies including shoulder, elbow and hand/wrist surgery. He completed his MBBS in 2002, and finished his specialist Registrar higher Orthopaedic training from the Mersey rotation. Mr Odak went on to do two fellowships from reputed and internationally acclaimed centres in the North-West of England, including the prestigious Wrightington Hospital, gaining further expertise in his field.
Mr Odak's clinical interests are focused on Upper limb surgery including hand/wrist, elbow and shoulder surgery. His routine clinical practice includes management of patients with conditions like Carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren's disease, trigger finger, arthritis of hand and wrist, shoulder arthroscopy (including sports-related injuries), shoulder replacement, tennis and golfer's elbow surgeries and management of complex trauma cases involving upper limb. He has received several awards and prizes throughout his career, including the annual Clinical Excellence Award under the 'Quality and Safety' category at Wrightington Wigan and Leigh Foundation NHS Trust in 2010. He has been a part of several medical societies, including the British Shoulder and Elbow Society.
Mr Odak is based at the University Hospital Morecambe Bay NHS Trust and has published over 24 articles in various peer-reviewed indexed international journals. Mr Odak completed his Medical undergraduate degree from DAVV university, Indore, India in 2003. Subsequently for his post-graduate training he moved to UK.
In UK he completed his MRCS exams in 2007 and was selected in the Mersey rotation for his higher specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics. He successfully cleared his FRCS exams in 2016 and was entered into the Specialist register in 2017.
He has been working as a consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics since 2019.

I had a consultation with Dr Odak regarding an elbow issue. He was very friendly and explained everything to me. He gave me a few options and thoroughly explained them. Surgery will probably be the best one.
Mr Odak has a very welcoming manner. He asked me to describe my symptoms and then examined me. He showed me the structure of the shoulder, described the next course of action and left me feeling very confident with the diagnosis

Mr Odak what a lovely doctor, very pleasant and felt eased when I was telling him the problems with my hand, sent me for an X-ray and I was told what it was and the course of action from now on . He is a great doctor and I was only with him altogether about 20-25 minutes. I had a bad experience at Salford Royal and I dread going back there but he has restored my faith in doctors.
