When I entered the premises I couldn’t believe the transformation that had taken place as I was familiar with the building when it was a hairdressing salon. It was spacious, immaculate and tranquil. Having been quite anxious before my appointment, I quickly relaxed as all the staff were extremely friendly and kind. All the tests were performed swiftly and smoothly with every concern for my comfort and my understanding of the procedures involved. Mrs. Matthews explained my forthcoming cataract surgery clearly, comprehensively and reassuringly and I was very pleased to be offered the surgery I such a short space of time. All in all I couldn’t have wished for a better experience with North Wales Eye Specialist Centre.

I would just like to say that I am really grateful to have had Mr Mohan as my surgeon. I feel blessed as he has been so understanding, kind and never puts pressure on when having a discussion. The surgery itself has been very successful, and from having a permanently painful left shoulder it rarely hurts any more and it's only been 5 months, when I was told it could take 6 to 9 months to fully recover. Mr Karuppaiah and his secretary, Hagar, were extremely helpful in getting my hand fixed up before my exams. As soon as I mentioned that I had exams, they did everything they could to expedite the process for me. I am immensely grateful for their help and kindness. Mr Karuppaiah was thorough in determining the cause of my pain and was gentle when administering the steroid injection. It is obvious that he is very experienced and an expert in his field! His team have consistently been supportive, responsive and happy to help.

Saw Dr Thuva for a removal of what I thought was a mole, but he explained that it was actually a sebhorriec keratosis. I had no idea what that was, but he showed me some examples and explained the differences. He looked at it with his magnifying tool to confirm, and then gave me treatment options. He advised on the best one for me, and removal was done on the same day. It was quick and painless, and he gave me all the aftercare advice I needed. Any follow up questions I had, he was more than happy to help.

Mr Ali Abdelwahab made sure I knew what he was talking about. Today's visit, i was waiting just under an hour, which isn't his fault as he has other patients with complex needs, I appreciated him not rushing me off because he may have been behind. I can't fault him one bit. I highly recommend him, he also kept asking me if I had any questions before proceeding on with the appointment. He gave me suggestions so that my injury doesn't come back, which is very much appreciated.

Lovely helpful doctor, didn't feel rushed, was listened too. Only reason no 5 star was hard to get through to reception and the inconvenience of being sent a letter for telephone appointment instead of agreed face to face appointment and not being able to get through to reception until the 11th hour to confirm and endure we had the correct appointment. Hospital was clean and looked well kept and staff were very friendly and attentive.

I called the ECS hub as I was keen to avoid a long wait in ED after failing off my horse and sustaining facial injuries. I was seen very quickly and had my wounds cleaned and glued.
