My dad recently underwent cataract surgery on both eyes with Dr. Oliver Bowes, and we couldn’t be happier with the care he received. From the very beginning, Dr. Oliver Bowes was incredibly professional, kind, and thorough, taking the time to explain every step of the process clearly. We felt reassured throughout, and the level of care and attention was exceptional. My dad doesn’t speak English, but Dr. Oliver Bowes went above and beyond to ensure he fully understood everything. A translator was arranged during both of his operations and again when obtaining informed consent before the procedures, making sure everything was explained properly and that my dad was comfortable and able to make informed decisions. This level of professionalism and respect meant a great deal to our family. The surgery was a complete success, and we are beyond happy with the service and care my dad received. We are truly grateful to Dr. Oliver Bowes and the entire team for their outstanding care. We would highly recommend Dr. Oliver Bowes to anyone considering cataract surgery. Our most recent visit was for my dad’s final follow-up appointment, where Dr. Oliver Bowes was very pleased with the outcome of both surgeries. We had the most positive experience with Dr Tania Brasse at Essex Private GP today. She was incredibly kind, compassionate and thorough from the moment we walked through the door. She took the time to really listen to both myself and my husband and most importantly, she listened to our 7 year old daughter too. We never once felt rushed or dismissed. Dr Brasse explored every concern carefully, carried out a comprehensive examination and produced one of the most thoughtful referral letters I’ve ever read. She captured our daughter’s strengths just as much as her challenges, which meant so much to us as parents. Rather than jumping to conclusions, she considered the whole picture and made us feel genuinely supported. She also reassured us regarding our daughter’s heart after a worrying episode, which immediately put our minds at ease. It is rare to find a doctor who combines such clinical professionalism with genuine warmth and empathy. We left feeling listened to, understood and hopeful for the next steps. Thank you, Dr Brasse, for treating Charlotte with such kindness and for treating us as parents with such respect. She said you’re her new favourite. I can't recommend Dr. Rebecca Gibbs highly enough. I came to her for my first colposcopy, and I'm someone who gets very uncomfortable and anxious with these kinds of procedures. She completely changed that experience for me. She was considerate from the very start, explained carefully everything she was going to do, and gave me all the time and space I needed to go at my own pace and on my own terms. I felt genuinely comfortable and in control the whole time. When I was diagnosed with mild dyskaryosis, she was just as thorough. She took it seriously and gave me clear instructions to follow, while also reassuring me about the actual risks so I never felt frightened or in the dark. Over the past year of follow-ups and additional testing—some things improving, some still needing care—she has consistently offered the same comfort, consideration, and reassurance. Since that first visit, I honestly can't imagine going to anyone else. I always feel like I'm in the right hands with her.

I went in for a hearing test with the added intention of purchasing some hearing aids. The person I saw was very professional and I felt very confident with the advice provided. Ultimately, however, I did not buy my hearing aids through Regain but went to a competitor instead. The reason for this is that I like to know what I'm buying. The brochure provided by Regain was too vague. It simply provided a menu of costs depending on what features I wanted. I was none the wiser about the hearing aids I would actually be getting. It is much more likely I would have purchased through Regain if there was more clarity about the hearing aids I would be getting, including a breakdown of any support and follow up costs.

From entering the hospital I was welcomed and made to feel comfortable. Ruby, the night nurse was especially caring and I appreciated how supportive she was throughout my stay. The welcome pack left by ‘Restore’ was extremely thoughtful and much appreciated. All the staff, including catering were kind and generous. Mr Blackburn is extremely approachable and friendly. His expertise are above and beyond and I am very grateful to him for making me feel whole again. I would definitely recommend Mr Blackburn, the surgical team and all the staff in the hospital.

She was also very good about me popping back the following day to look at a mark I had forgotten to ask about.

The experience was good at the fitting of the new aids however whilst traveling on my mobility scooter today with a gentle breeze the whoosh in the ears was such that I could not hear traffic which could be dangerous Also at the beginning of the day volume level at 16 was acceptable but at the end of the day it needed to be at 28 to be at comfort level despite being on charge all night Overall disappointing

All of the staff at PSM are welcoming and supportive - I was always impressed that the reception staff remembered me by name even when I had a gap of 5 weeks! The space is welcoming, open, and light, and has been well air conditioned during the heatwave. Great equipment for myself as a dancer - not a lot of physio centres have barres!
