I have been under the care of Montrose for a few months now. The wait times are relatively short in comparison to other companies which was why I chose them as my RTC provider. My initial Assessment was a great experience. The assessor was on time for our online meeting and listened attentively, making me finally feel heard for the first time, despite having had two previous assessments elsewhere. The report was published in a timely manner but unfortunately, there were funding issues which delayed the start of my titration. However, once this was resolved, I was given an appointment for the medication assessment soon after. The Psychiatrist was lovely! Again, she listened and was empathetic to my needs. I was given clear instructions on how the titration process would work and what to expect from the medication, including any possible side effects. The support on the telephone and understanding shown throughout has been amazing, considering the volume of patients they must deal with on a Tuesday, once you are able to get through. Unfortunately, this is the only day the phone line is open for RTC clients, (continuous redialling and perseverance is the key!) Overall, the staff have are always friendly and sympathetic to my needs, making the whole experience more manageable.

Mr Saurabh Odak

It was my first time meeting Mr Saurabh Odak today, and I honestly cannot recommend him enough. He was friendly, professional and had such a gentle manner. He listened carefully and gave me the time and space to explain what I was experiencing, without interrupting me. That in itself feels like a rare occurrence nowadays! He then took the time to explain fully what was going on, using diagrams and pictures to help me understand the problem and the next steps that could be taken. I initially attended with a problem on one side, which has resulted in the opposite side now having to compensate and take on too much. Rather than dismissing the pain I am now experiencing on the other side simply because my referral was for one side only, he listened, acknowledged it and addressed both. That meant so much to me. Feeling heard, listened to and taken seriously makes such a difference, and I am incredibly grateful for the care and understanding he showed me. Thank you, Mr Odak, for taking the time to listen and for making me feel that my concerns genuinely mattered.

Very successful routine follow-up appointment monitoring my son for respiratory /allergies. We left reassured and clear on next steps. We also had the opportunity to look at my son’s overall holistic development and discussed the onset of puberty - very helpful and useful. Dr Hadad has been monitoring our child for 12 years now. We first came to Dr Hadad because our son was premature, born at 33 weeks. He had numerous health complications and Dr Hadad guided and supported us through it all - respiratory and severe peanut and egg allergy. As my son developed, Dr Hadad was our constant source of reassurance and he always gave the best, timely advice as other challenges arose with breathing difficulties/asthma/other allergies/whooping cough/developmental concerns. We can’t thank Dr Hadad enough for what he had done/continues to do for our family. He is an extremely experienced, kind and empathetic consultant and we recommend him highly.

Appointment was on time, checks made before my surgery on my right eye. Having contacted the hospital re:bloodshot left eye and the nurse advising me to buy some dry eye drops ( no eye drop leaflet in my package with medication) I spoke to the nurses and then Dr Kwok who then checked my eye and advised me to up my medication to four times a day. Surgery and post op on my right eye went well. Last Thursday a week after my surgery a nurse called me to ask how my eye was. I explained that it was fine but still having problems with my right eye. Informed her of what had happened the week before and she advised that there was no record of any discussion! Really disappointed that there was nothing recorded on my records. She is going to ask the Admin office to contact me for another appointment to get it checked because the eye apparently should have settled down by now.

The computer systems were down on my admission day, so the nursing staff were obviously stressed. When I was finally checked in, everything was OK. In theatre, I felt well looked after and everything was explained to me clearly. There was a painful delay in the supply of morphine when I got to recovery, resulting in a very painful few minutes. I'd have liked more clarity regarding the drugs I was given on discharge - I was told only the drug manes, and not what they are for. I was also not told about the need to keep warring my surgical stockings, and had taken them off before I read the paperwork telling me to keep them on for as long as I could tolerate them. Having been wheeled to the door after a 10 minute skin tag removal procedure in the past, it felt a bit odd to just ve left to walk out of my room alone. Nobody checked that I was being collected,

Dr Markus Laupheimer

I have now seen Dr Laupheimer several times over the last 10 years for a slipped disk, torn Achilles tendon and a reoccurrence of back trouble. Every time I speak with him he displays a huge amount of knowledge (which you would obviously expect). He is also not forceful and biased in any one direction. He consider’s all options, clearly explains them and we have arrived at a direction of travel / outcome in a collaborative way. Rather than taking the surgery route as defacto we have explored many other options. This was exemplified by my slipped disk. I was in a huge amount of pain and wanted a quick fix. I was counselled to be patient and let the body heal and now I don’t have a fused spine I am hugely appreciative. I would recommend Dr Laupheimer to anyone. I also always enjoy our conversations and he’s an all round good egg too!

Upon arrival me an my chaperone was very politely greeted, the staff was very friendly quick to offer coffee/tea etc. the place is very clean and modern. Whilst waiting to go into theatre i had a lovely chat with the nurses and lots of reassuring chats with the doctors. They made the hole experience very easy and calming, my doctor in particular was making me laugh and put the last sudden nerves at ease. After care couldnt be more helpful, as patients we have all the info we need before going but having it repeated and explained in person, over email, put in video form as another visual aid and the nurse calling you three days later and another video consultation a week later for any concerns. Over all experience was amazing couldnt be more happier and couldnt recommend them enough.

Mr. Shafafy is not just a good surgeon, he is perhaps one of the best medical professionals I have ever come across. At our first appointment, he delivered some difficult news clearly and concisely, but with compassion and a framework that helped us make informed decisions for our daughter's care. At every subsequent visit, he guided us through the process, making sure all our questions were answered, our concerns were addressed, and helping us figure out what steps worked best for our family. He is transparent about care, honest about risks, and supportive in all the ways that matter. His willingness to be present and available for our daughter has probably saved me from going prematurely grey. We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to be under his care.

It’s not always easy dealing with health anxiety, so having a doctor who approaches you with such kindness, compassion and understanding makes a huge difference. I wasn’t really sure what to expect from the assessment, but it turned out to be a much easier process than I had imagined. Our child was given time to settle and nothing felt forced. What I appreciated most was that the clinicians seemed genuinely interested in getting to know how our child experiences things, rather than just ticking boxes. The feedback afterwards was thoughtful and actually useful, especially when thinking about support at school. Overall, we came away feeling that we finally had a clearer picture of what had been going on.
