I had knee replacement surgery at the Practice Plus hospital at Barlborough on 29th November. The pain I experienced during the two weeks following the surgery on a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate at 8 to 9. Now that I am in my eight week of recovery my pain level is 1 or2 I had a problem in that during the first 2 weeks after surgery I was hardly able to sleep due to the pain when lying down and some nights I had zero hours of sleep. After discussion with the hospital pharmacist it became evident that one of the pain killing medicines I had been prescribed had insomnia as one of it’s side effects. After stopping this medication and taking an alternative my sleep pattern returned to normal and my recovery accelerated. From the experiences of friends who had undergone this surgery I knew that physiotherapy was the key to a successful outcome. The physiotherapy I received at Barlborough was exceptional. By following their exercise plans and receiving guidance at my follow-up visits I am now able walk for one hour virtually pain free, ride my static bike at home and if all goes well should be able to ride my bike on the road in a few weeks time. I had a very good experience with Visio Health when I had recent laser treatment following cataract surgery on both eyes with Ms Sandhu. The cataract surgery, which took place in hospital in July and October, has been very successful. I no longer need glasses after having vision corrective lenses. And I hadn’t realised quite how blurred and sepia my sight had become. My vision is now very clear and bright. It really has positively impacted my life. Everything looks like it did back when I was young. It’s so much more cheerful than that blurry, yellow sight that I had grown so used to. And I am so much more confident when driving. No more night glare. I was really apprehensive and anxious about cataract surgery. So much so that it was decided that I would have the procedure under general anaesthetic. But I can honestly say that despite all the worry the end result is better than I could have imagined. The laser treatment at Visio to improve my sight further with one session of laser treatment was totally painless, very straightforward and uncomplicated. The clinic was very well organised and the staff were all lovely. A very good experience.

I recently saw Mr Shanmuganandan for investigation of bowel issues and couldn't be happier with the care I received. From the initial consultation through to follow-up, Arun was clear, thorough, and reassuring. He explained the endoscopy process in detail beforehand, so I knew exactly what to expect. The procedure itself at Shirley Oaks Hospital went smoothly. There was a slight delay to the start time—understandable given it was the first session after the Christmas break—but this was communicated and didn't affect the quality of care. The procedure was efficient and went as well as you could hope for something that's inherently not pleasant. What I particularly appreciated was Arun's approach to communication. He was keen to give me feedback immediately after the procedure, which I valued, and the follow-up has been thorough with clear next steps. Highly recommended for anyone needing colorectal investigation or treatment.

Asked to be 15 mins early for scan, but then not called until 30 mins or so after time of appointment without any prior indication of running late (perhaps because it was at 6pm ). Head scanner was still busy so junior radiologer kindly chatted to me for 15 mins after I'd changed to kill time. Having been told it would take 15 mins, scan took about 45 mins and team forgot to talk to me or put music on despite me saying I was a bit claustrophic (but can get by ok). Then at 8pm, no doubt in rush to scan next person, they didn't remove cannula so i wandered around to find another staff member to do that who happily obliged. Not a major problem but not up to Cleveland usual standards. Staff were all very friendly though, but perhaps clinic shouldn't book in patients at end of day if they can't really handle them properly.

Dr. Seepana was extremely knowledgeable and understanding. She explained everything in detail. For the first time, I really felt listened to by a GP and not fobbed off with medications that would only treat symptoms but not touch the root cause. I was so grateful to be heard- so much so that I felt quite emotional at points during the consultation. After years of what can only be described as hell dealing with perimenopause symptoms and the extreme stresses of not getting sufficient help or understanding from NHS doctors, I finally feel a real sense of hope that I will be able to 'get back to my old self'. I can barely express how grateful I am to Dr Seepana. Thank you.

My overall experience at the clinic was exceptional. When I first booked my appointment it was scheduled for a week later, but I asked whether there might be any cancellations before then. The team were incredibly helpful and thoughtful — they called me back and arranged for me to be seen the very same day. From start to finish, the service was efficient, compassionate, and reassuring. At what was a very anxious time for me, everyone I dealt with was kind, responsive, and professional. I felt genuinely cared for and supported throughout my visit, and I am extremely grateful for the outstanding care I received.

Mr Tomasi and his staff are following up on a daily basis with me to ensure I recover as best as possible. Overall, I'm very happy with the care and professionalism of Mr Tomasi, and would surely recommend his services.

Dr Chawla guided me through my pregnancy and labour and this was the best decision ever. Next to her professionalism, extended medical care, she went above and beyond to provide clear guidance and mental support to coach me through labour. In preparation for labour she had already explained all different options extensively and therefore when things went a little different then expected (as always happens), dr Chawla guided us though and made the birth of our daughter a memory I will cherish for ever. I would highly recommend dr Chawla to anyone!

I was grateful to have met Mr Magan who carried out complex surgery to allow me to regain my mobility and return to my activities. I found the GP we visited to be welcoming and friendly, he was very informative and honest with things however I found the reception staff to be the opposite they were not very welcoming and I felt that they were closed of from any type of communication or request I did not like that they were so miserable no smiles just blank I didn't like the experience or the feeling I felt when walking into the practise but the doctor was great.

My GP sent referral for RTN in January 2025. According to their announcement on the ADHD website, the waiting time was 8-9 weeks. Unfortunately, I was waiting couple of months. My assessment was done in October and on my outcome appointment, which was a year after, the 3rd doctor was involved a d decided to do one more assessment. Without prior arrangement or agreement. Poor customer service, dishonest administration.

I had forgotten that I had an appointment today; however, Dr. Milan called to remind me about it and to conduct the consultation, which was supposed to be face-to-face, via phone. Afterward, I inquired if I could still attend in person, and he graciously permitted me to do so. This demonstrates excellent practice, as many consultants might not have allowed me the same opportunity.

From surgeon & colleagues to pre op to all ward staff to rehab. I was sick and fainted the first night and all the ward staff where very attentive, kind & understanding.
