Exceptional experience, excellent,, I'm a recent right leg, below knee amputee, I was under Mr Hunter care for a left hip replacement, it was great to see only Mr Hunter for my appointments, he explained everything to me step by step & what to expect, he did the surgery & I'm very happy with the outcome. I can't fault the man. The aftercare was excellent.
Mr Hunter was excellent. He has given me my life back. I am drug free, pain free and have got my mobility back. I could not have wished for a better surgeon. Mr Hunter is a credit to the NHS.
Always a pleasure to see Mr Hunter, he made me feel comfortable and that I was going to be looked after.
Joint School was the best start to this procedure. It was completely honest and explained everything precisely so we knew exactly what each stage would be like. I t’s not an easy process but as long as you stick to the process and keep on top of the pain relief so you can do your physio as instructed the results are fantastic. Mr Hunter and his team were all amazing and gave us confidence at every stage. Overall excellent all the way.
The whole procedure and hospital stay went completely to plan. All appointments before and after my operation were on time and everyone I spoke to was very helpful and friendly. I felt at ease in the care of Mr Thomas Hunter, everything was explained to me before and after my hip replacement operation. I had no worries whatsoever that everything would go to plan. Six weeks post op I am very nearly fully recovered, amazing, and I am so happy to be able to do the things I couldn't do a couple of months ago.
Mr Hunter was very clear pre op and also post opp. Everything went very well and he was ably assisted by the entire tesm
I found the whole experience to be a very good one. From when I first visited Mr Hunter, he explained the procedures clearly and in a very professional and reassuring manner. It was a quick process from the first visit to my hospital stay and my recovery was also quick.
My post op review with Tom Hunter was the final step for discharge after having my left hip replaced.. The whole process from initial review back in August 2025 through to discharge was conducted in a highly professional manner, but also delivered with a warm friendly human touch. I have no hesitation in recommending potential hip replacement patients to seek out Mr Hunter.
Mr Hunter was very friendly but also professional and the operation went well. If I need my other hip replacing I will call on his expertise again

Orthopaedic SurgeonI have known Tom since he started his practice locally. He is a very good clinician and a colleague. I have seen first hand how he deals with his patients with compassion, patience and empathy when he operated on a relative of mine. Technically he is very sound in both elective and trauma surgery. His speciality is Arthroplasty surgery and he is a very competent hip and knee surgeon. I am delighted to write this reference for Tom and wish him the best best in years to come.
