Miss Gabriella Guevara

Miss Gabriella Guevara is a highly skilled Consultant Ophthalmologist and Consultant Oculoplastic Surgeon who provides compassionate, patient-centred care for individuals experiencing a wide range of eye and eyelid conditions. Known for her thoughtful and reassuring approach, Miss Guevara works closely with each patient to ensure that surgical and non-surgical treatment plans are tailored to meet both their functional requirements and aesthetic concerns. Her practice encompasses general eye care as well as highly specialised interventions in oculoplastic surgery.

Her extensive clinical expertise focuses on functional and cosmetic eyelid surgery, periocular reconstructive procedures, tear-duct (lacrimal) surgery, and the management of orbital conditions. Miss Guevara routinely performs procedures such as blepharoplasty for excess eyelid skin (dermatochalasis), ptosis correction for droopy eyelids, and surgical repair for eyelid malpositions including ectropion, entropion, trichiasis, and distichiasis. Additionally, she diagnoses and treats eyelid lesions, chalazia, cysts, and periocular skin cancers, providing meticulous reconstructive surgery following tumour excision. She is also experienced in managing watery eyes, blocked tear ducts, lacrimal gland diseases, blepharitis, blepharospasm, and thyroid eye disease.

Miss Guevara graduated with honours in medicine from a leading university in Dublin, where she initiated her foundational medical and ophthalmic training. She subsequently undertook higher specialist ophthalmic training in London, during which time she served as a Senior Resident. To further refine her expertise, she completed three sub-specialist fellowships in oculoplastic surgery across major UK eye care centres alongside an international clinical observer fellowship in the United States. A Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, she was awarded the prestigious Richard Collin Scholarship by the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society. In addition to her clinical work, Miss Guevara is actively involved in teaching and surgical training in her roles as an Educational Supervisor and an Honorary Senior Lecturer.
