Walking into Spire hospital at Manchester, I was greeted by really good reception staff who listened to what I said and then made it happen. It felt very well organised. Into the wards/clinics for treatment, I was again greeted by friendly, confident staff who quickly put me at ease and explained what was to be carried out. All of my tests/treatments were carried out very professionally, on time and with care and respect. I felt comletly at ease throughtout. 5 Stars in every respexct for the clinical staff and Spire Manchester. Bad Experiencies. Dealing with the Spire Online/ Phone back office and Booking System. It was diabolical in all aspects. It appeared to be very dis-jointed and not able to pass information on internally nor take notice of what I told them. I received meaningless paperwork that bore little resemblance to what was to be done and its timeline. The night before treatment, around 8 p.m., I even received an email that told me all my procedures/ tests were to be carried out in Liverpool, not Manchester. Very poor level communications from Spire admin. very bad experience for me.

I received my care at the Spire Regency Hospital in Macclesfield following a unicompartmental knee replacement in November 2025, and the standard of care throughout was excellent. From recovery through to the ward, the post-operative care was consistently compassionate, professional, and attentive. Every member of staff I encountered — from nursing and medical staff to healthcare assistants, physiotherapists, and catering staff — was kind, supportive, and clearly committed to patient wellbeing. Although I didn’t manage to note everyone’s name, those I did were outstanding and a real credit to the hospital. The physiotherapy support was particularly impressive. My post-operative physiotherapist understood exactly how far my knee should be bending at each stage and struck the right balance between encouragement and reassurance. This helped me overcome the understandable mental barriers around pain and guarding, and I was given a clear and structured recovery exercise plan to follow at home.

Having waited for an appointment for approximately two years, I felt nervous and apprehensive the morning of my appointment. Despite this, after a few moments speaking with Doctor Pirjamali, I felt more calm. Although we discussed some difficult topics such as grief and an eating disorder, he maintained an easy-going, nonjudgemental, professional and informative manner. Our chat was thorough and after the appointment had come to a natural end, I felt relieved knowing that no stone had been left unturned. Doctor Pirjamali came across as kind and extremely knowledgeable in the areas of ADHD and ( although he referred me to speak further to the titration team regarding this) ADHD medication. I I highly recommend him as a Doctor, especially if you are nervous.

When I entered the premises I couldn’t believe the transformation that had taken place as I was familiar with the building when it was a hairdressing salon. It was spacious, immaculate and tranquil. Having been quite anxious before my appointment, I quickly relaxed as all the staff were extremely friendly and kind. All the tests were performed swiftly and smoothly with every concern for my comfort and my understanding of the procedures involved. Mrs. Matthews explained my forthcoming cataract surgery clearly, comprehensively and reassuringly and I was very pleased to be offered the surgery I such a short space of time. All in all I couldn’t have wished for a better experience with North Wales Eye Specialist Centre.

Mr Nanidis was very informative throughout my consultation process. He was able to provide me with clear expectations, so I walked away feeling informed on the procedure and possible outcomes. On the day of my surgery Mr Nanidis made me feel so comfortable and at ease. My overall surgery experience was great, I would honestly recommend Mr Nanidis over and over again. My results are better than expected! I’m so happy! My aftercare has been exceptional. Mr Nanidis has given me several follow up appointments to make sure I am happy and healing well. I had a online assessment, I was seen by Wioleta Cholewinska. She was really lovely, welcoming and put me at ease. She made me feel comfortable and was understanding and listened very well. The longest waiting part was from filling out the forms to the assessment, but even tho this was a wait, I was expecting it to be a lot longer than it was so that’s great. The actual booking of my assessment was super quick and easy. They sent me a date and time that was for an appointment within 14days of them sending me the appointment details. I’ve heard this can be a lot longer elsewhere so I was surprised about this in a good way.

Mr Tibrewal and his team have given me care and attention that went beyond my expectations. I had been suffering for years with pains in my right knee. I had been misdiagnosed twice by NHS and another privately funded surgeon. Within 30 seconds of my appointment with Mr Tibrewal said “I know what’s wrong with you, take a seat”. (Long story short my ACL in my right knee was torn completely from an old rugby injury). I knew after that I was in the best of hands with him. I can’t thank him and his magnificent office staff enough for everything they have done for me! Thank you all!

Mr. Bell performed a micro discectomy after I had suffered chronic pain for a significant time. At a consultation prior to the procedure, he gave a clear and helpful explanation of what would happen and how I was likely to feel post op. Due to the nature of the procedure, I was pain free almost immediately. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Bell, whose professionalism and obvious experience inspires confidence. He is also friendly and approachable and genuinely interested in his patients. The care I received at HCA London Bridge Hospital was also second to none.

I chose galaxy lenses for my cataract surgery and am now very happy with the results. No need whatsoever for any glasses. The staff were all very kind and supportive, along with Mr Hove the surgeon who was quick and efficient with the procedure. I would recommend anyone who is thinking of this procedure to not be anxious, it is quick and painless and though your vision is a little blurry after it doesn't take long to resolve. Mr Saravelos and his team made us feel at such ease for our Frozen Embryo Transfer. He was so patient and helped talk through the procedure in a way I could understand. He kept me calm through the procedure, which previously have been a really painful experience for him. The Nurse Raj was also great and helpful and managed to get all our prescriptions done before the transfer so we didn’t have to wait around. Really great time and brilliant experience.
