Had an appointment for hip injections. I was seen on time. The consultant Mr Howell and radiologists Rachel and Natalie were all amazing. They were welcoming, friendly, professional and warm. They helped me to relax, feel comfortable, assured and confident. I have had the absolute pleasure of meeting many of the staff at St Hugh's and would recommend the hospital to anyone. The people are so genuine, lovely, human, friendly and professional. You are welcomed by the reception staff immediately upon arrival and the experience continues throughout. I appreciate that the staff work in a relatively calm setting, but they make the experience. This is a really well run hospital overseen by the director Ellen and her deputy Sarah. The consultants are of the highest quality. This is an amazing local resource which must be protected. The hospital undertake vital NHS work as well as private work. NHS pressures challenge the continued operation of St Hugh's, which would be a tragedy. Thanks and best wishes to everyone! Xx

I had LASIK surgery with Allon Barsam yesterday, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. My vision feels unbelievably clear, almost like seeing through the eyes of a superhero. Allon guided me through every step of the procedure as it was happening, which made the entire experience feel calm, safe, and reassuring. The surgery was genuinely painless; there was one brief moment of discomfort that lasted no more than 10 seconds, and he calmly counted down the seconds so I knew exactly what to expect. My eyes stung a little afterwards, but after a short nap I woke up feeling completely fine. If you’re considering laser eye surgery, I can’t recommend it highly enough. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Thank you so much to Allon and the team at OCL.

Welcoming and helpful. Only one lift was working and the remaining one was noisy and slow but there was a notice advising of this. The coffee machine in wait area was out of order Reception staff were kind and helpful but sometimes difficult to understand accent. One set of chairs in a sub waiting area was under a shelf which meant I knocked my head. Appeared clean and efficient and was quiet on day of my visit. Preoperative bloods were done straight after consultation which is very good and in fact results appeared next day. That's good service. Overall allowing for things that happen a positive experience.

I cannot recommend Mr Malagelada highly enough. From the initial consultation through to surgery and recovery, his care and professionalism were exceptional. I underwent bunion surgery with an excellent outcome — the correction is outstanding, recovery was smooth, and the final result exceeded my expectations both functionally and aesthetically. My foot is now pain-free and feels completely transformed. Mr Malagelada is highly skilled, calm and reassuring, and took great care to explain every step of the process. I am extremely grateful and would recommend him without hesitation.

Anxiety naturally precedes any medical appointment, especially when such delicate procedures are planned. Lucy Clarke and her team assuaged my every concern, from first consultation to walking out after my operation. I cannot praise Newmedica Newcastle enough for their care and professionalism over my direct brow lift, I left the clinic in a state of elated gratitude…..much like the man in John 9, Jesus healed his sight with mud and spit, thankfully ophthalmological techniques have advanced greatly these past 2000 years. The staff was great. I was on the ground floor ward and was well taken care off. Members of staff were kind, courteous and helpful. I specifically note that staff members such as Sibo, Clementina, Clara and Ashy were very good and efficient and overall made my treatment a positive experience. My one to one therapist was excellent, in that Holly. I do however note that the food quality was inconsistent, at times the meals were good but there were times where things fell short as limited alternatives were available.

Billie was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. She took x-rays of my back lower and upper teeth where I felt pain and she explained everything very clearly as to why I was experiencing pain. She said it can come and go and today the pain seems to have gone! I took her advice to use a tepe between the two roots of the back molar giving the problem. Billie was most friendly and reassuring and it was good to have her suggested options such as root canal treatment or extraction if the pain becomes unmanageable.

It was a private appoint & I paid for the ILR device. That was fine but I have been disappointed with the follow up since which seems to provide no reassurance that the ILR results are being looked at / reviewed so it is a case of assuming "no news is good news". In my view this is poor, if not unsatisfactory and it seems to me an initial 3 month review email followed by half yearly emails would be welcomed by patients. Also issue of contact phone numbers would be helpful e.g. technical. episode queries

The Inverness Outpatient Centre itself was excellent — clean, well organised, and very welcoming. Overall, a fantastic facility with extremely good staff, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

A very quick appointment. Actually in and out before my scheduled time. Mr Chauhan has given me reassurance with my wrist. Following on from having the injections I have found a terrific improvement. Some days it’s 90% better. Mr Chauhan said that in some people this is all you need or if it flares up again, to visit my Dr who will then refer me again and it would be the operation. Let’s hope and pray that time is in the distance.

For that reason, the experience was highly better. Quick service of meeting the Doctor, same day having operation and less than a week a follow up face to face. I was recommended St Giles physiotherapy to take our Son to as he was complaining of knee pain. Claudiu diagnosed what was wrong and gave our son various exercises to do to help with the pain. Our son also had laser treatment and massages which really helped. The exercise programme we continued with at home too using a friendly app to track progress. I highly recommend St Giles physiotherapy and Claudiu.
