Really well looked after before procedure and really lovely nurses during procedure. Only downside was that recovery did feel quite rushed and the nurse in recovery during my visit on 15.06.26 at 3pm was good but I did feel i was rushed out a bit soon. I was feeling quite out of it and had vomited once while in recovery, the nurse was waiting for my blood pressure to improve and when it did she asked me to stand but I was still feeling quite wobbly. I was a bit concerned that I had already been sick once but was being discharged without any sick bowl or similar. I got as far as the main reception with my partner and unfortunately ended up vomiting again all over the reception floor in front of people which was really embarrassing although I was still fairly out of it so don’t remember much. I then needed to be wheeled back into recovery for a very short time before returning back. The overall service was brilliant I just felt a bit disappointed that the nurses didn’t think to give me at least something like a sick bowl to take away with me considering i had already been sick. Think this needs to be thought of next time and possibly more recovery time allowed, but that’s the only improvements needed. Thank you.

I saw Mr Sutton recently to discuss surgery to repair my hiatus hernia. He was unable to access my scans which I had at kettering general hospital but promised to do this later and asked if we could return the following day. Although he hadn't seen my scans he gave me more information in that one appointment than I'd received from anyone else. As promised he called me the following day to save my husband and myself the journey again and gave a very professional and informative opinion. Soon after I received a detailed email outlining all we had spoken about and more besides. He only charged us for one consultation which I thought extremely kind. On meeting Mr. Sutton he immediately made me feel reassured and cared about but more importantly he made me feel heard. Thank you!

I arrived very late for my appointment having written down the wrong time. Dr.C was very accommodating and used her lunch break to give me my full time with her. Her manner was kind but tough, and it felt easy to be open with her, even in answering some tough personal questions. I am an American and we are not as squeamish about such personal things as the Brits seem to be, but she didn’t bat an eye. She was understanding and professional at the same time. Most of all, I felt completely heard. What a difference from other doctors I’ve visited. Everything was explained carefully and well. We now have a plan. My appointment was at the Ashford Spencer hospital. It would be very helpful to add information to a first time visitor that after parking in main car park the best way to get to the reception of the Spencer hospital is to walk around the outside of the William Harvey hospital, and not through the William Harvey hospital which I did only to be advised that I need to go outside and round the building. Also I was advised the Spencer hospital car park was only for private patients which I understand but feel is a bit petty. On a positive note all the staff and especially the two nurses that carried out my pre assessment were great and I felt very cared for by them both. Thank you.

Asita (dentist) was her usual brilliant self and made the extraction of a wisdom tooth a lot easier than I was expecting. The only criticism I have is that Reception would not give me a paper appointment card and kept saying they would send me an email. Paper cards are pinned on a board at home so that I do not miss the appointment. Other than that the customer experience was very good.
