Dr Tiong Yeng (Lawrence) Lim

Dr Tiong Yeng Lim is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at HCA London Bridge Hospital and The London Independent Hospital (Circle Health Group). He also holds an NHS consultant post at The Royal London Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust, where he provides specialist care in hepatology and gastroenterology.

Dr Lim graduated in Medicine from the University of Cambridge in 2008, where he was awarded the MB BChir and MA degrees. He subsequently completed specialist training in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and General Internal Medicine in London and obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK).

Dr Lim manages a broad range of digestive and liver conditions and performs both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. His specialist interests include metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), alcohol-related liver disease, autoimmune liver diseases, viral hepatitis and liver disease during pregnancy. He leads a joint Diabetes–Liver clinic, providing integrated care for individuals with metabolic liver disease, and also provides specialist assessment and management for patients with general gastroenterological conditions.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Lim has undertaken research into liver disease in pregnancy and is an active member of the Obstetrics–Liver multidisciplinary team at The Royal London Hospital. His research has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented at national and international conferences. He is also a Clinical Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London, where he is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
