Dr Anderco was v Professional , empathetic and respectful of my elderly retired status as a medical colleague usually difficult patients! the consultation was skilled and she discussed my symptoms , worries past history in an unprejudiced manner as I was using medical jargon! and my opinion was also taken into consideration the next step was discussed and explained and after seeking my consent, Nasal endoscopy was carried out with care and in an experienced manner and with due regard for my comfort . Did not rush through the procedure . The Registrar sitting in the consultation with my consent was being taught and shown on video not only the physical diagnostic appropriate structures but also Patient communication , comfort care working as a team with staff as a doctor by example of a Senior and v experienced HOD and Staff working with Dr Anderco were pleasant helpful and happy working with her and attended to me the patient attentively Management plans were discussed and follow up to be arranged with results , availability of interim access too explained I Felt at ease from the beginning welcome till the end and very satisfied with the consultation The Registrar sat in the consultation with my consent . Mr Paul Erotocritou

Mr Erotocritou is a very friendly consultant, who made me feel very at ease and reassured that he will help me. He was very clear in his explanations and covered all bases in investigating my issues. I didn't feel rushed in the consultants and he actually listened to me and took the time to answer all my questions. I felt he looked at me as a valued person rather than another patient. I am very happy with my consultations and tests taken. Thankfully I do not need further investigations or treatment, but I would definitely go back to Mr Erotocritou if I needed to in the future. He was easy to understand and calm, someone you could tell about your difficulties. I felt very understood and nothing was too difficult to talk about.

I could not be happier with the care provided by Mr Bhan. From the outset, he was warm, approachable, and genuinely attentive, taking the time to listen and understand my concerns. His depth of experience and the number of procedures he has performed were evident, and he was able to draw on this to explain everything clearly and put me completely at ease. He was always honest and candid about the potential risks, which I really appreciated. Although I am only eight weeks post-surgery, the results have already been life-changing. I always find the receptionists at The Holly difficult to deal with. The booking in experience is poor as one often has to wait for ages whilst the receptionists are on the phone or chatting or apparently doing something on their computers. It is a pity as the doctors and nurses and other staff including the porters at The Holly are extremely good. The receptionists in both the outpatients area and the scan receptionists need better training and better management. I would say however that the GP area receptionists and the front desk receptionists are very nice and very helpful so I have no issues with them.

Mr Green has carefully explained the procedure, answered my many questions and reassured me about any worries. From our first meeting I was impressed with his professionalism, attitude and knowledge. I didn't feel any pressure to go ahead with the procedure. I felt well looked after and supported throughout the entire process and after the operation too. I can not fault anything. Initially I was very unsure about my condition, however, Mr. Turner provided reassurance that the condition of my hand could be fixed. Tests were carried out over the following month then surgery was suggested. The operation proved to be very successful and, despite being prepared for subsequent pain, I did not experience either pain nor discomfort at any point. Further to the surgery, Mr. Turner and colleagues provided after-care which was reassuring, professional and continued to ensure a speedy recovery.

Paid privately for Hip Replacement, initial appointment was disappointing with an hour wait, and a non interested surgeon. A few blips along the way, upon arrival on surgery day, they had me down for a knee replacement not hip, staff on night shift not the friendliest, and thet x rayed the incorrect hip after the surgery. Day shift were great and surgery went well. I will say I expected more for paying privately however the main thing I've had my surgery instead of the ridiculous wait time on the nhs.

I had a two night inpatient stay recently after having fairly major surgery at The Woodthorpe Hospital. The individual and quality care I received from my Surgeon, Anaesthetist and Nursing staff made my experience a very positive one. The room was well equipped and the food was good, with every need catered for. Special thanks for making allowances and letting me stay until late in my room on day of discharge. I would definitely recommend this hospital for an overall positive experience.

. It’s not clear where the private department is (or any other) as no reception desk at hospital entrance (only a security man on other duties). When in 2nd floor private area do not expect trappings of luxury or flashy equipment. You do get kindness, attentiveness and skill and efficiency. Came out with problem fixed. No cafe.
