During my recent experience at Cleveland Clinic London, I was under the care of Professor James Teo and Dr. Dipesh Patel for my diagnosis of myelitis. I’d like to share a review of the care, diagnosis, and treatment I received during my short inpatient stay and subsequent outpatient follow-up. Diagnosis: The professionalism and expertise of both Professor Teo and Dr. Patel were evident. They took the time to thoroughly review my medical history, listen attentively to my symptoms, and conduct a series of comprehensive tests. The diagnostic process was meticulous, involving advanced imaging and laboratory analyses, all explained clearly, which left me feeling confident about my care. I was admitted as an inpatient for a couple of days, and my stay was exceptionally comfortable and reassuring. The modern hospital environment and top-notch facilities contributed to a positive experience. The nursing staff was attentive and highly trained, providing outstanding care around the clock. I appreciated their responsiveness to my needs, ensuring I felt comfortable during my brief stay. Daily visits from Professor Teo and Dr. Patel allowed me to discuss my progress and any concerns I had, reinforcing my sense of being valued and cared for. Following my inpatient stay I transitioned smoothly into outpatient care. My follow-up appointments have been invaluable, with thorough evaluations of my ongoing recovery. The clinic’s proactive communication, including test results, appointment reminders and prompt responses to my queries, has greatly supported my journey. They also provided me with educational resources to help manage my condition effectively. In conclusion, my experience at Cleveland Clinic London, particularly under the care of Professor Teo and Dr. Patel, has been exemplary. I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to Dr James Noake at Pure Sports Medicine for his ongoing efforts in diagnosing a long-standing misdiagnosed knee injury following several unsuccessful procedures. Dr Noake identified relevant pathology on imaging that, unfortunately, had been missed by several other private consultants elsewhere. He then carefully administered a diagnostic injection, taking considerable time to ensure pinpoint precision through a cyst and a very small joint space. Dr Noake is clearly a very busy and sought-after clinician, yet he ensured I received an extensive first face-to-face consultation, with ample time in clinic to explore the problem thoroughly using ultrasound. He also went above and beyond by reviewing both previous and updated MRI scans, speaking to me at short notice via Zoom call during the festive period in order to review images and discuss options. I found this attention to detail and direct liaison to be exceptional as more than once I have had to wait 6-weeks between appointments at other private clinics or hospitals. Dr Noake is clearly dedicated to his craft and approaches his work with diligence, precision, and honesty. From the first point of contact, he inspired confidence through his willingness to answer questions, think critically beyond the obvious, and work collaboratively to reach informed decisions. I would highly recommend Dr Noake to anyone seeking help with complex, long-standing, or less common knee or nerve-related injuries.

I saw Mr Dattani for ongoing shoulder pain that had been affecting my daily activities, exercise, and overall quality of life. From the outset, I was extremely impressed by his professionalism, expertise, and calm manner. I was operated on by Mez and her team on the 16th of September 2025. I can honestly say that the whole experience has changed my life for the better. You asked about 'bedside manner', I can only say that this made all the difference to what, of course, is a stressful and anxiety-driven moment. Maz called me the Sunday before the operation and introduced herself. I knew instantly that I was going to be in good hands. She listened with intent, she asked the right questions, and quickly understood my predicament. She did not overpromise, she didn't assume or discourage, instead she advised and reassured. The circumstance, I hope, is an unusual one (although, sadly, I think that I might be incorrect). I am a 55-year-old woman who has had gynae complications since I was 20 years of age. My visit to see Dr Ramcharan was very well organised and an appointment was offered within two weeks. On the day of the consultation, we received a call to confirm our attendance and to provide additional information about parking arrangements, which was greatly appreciated. This made a difficult situation feel far less overwhelming. I attended the appointment with my teenage daughter at The Vesey Hospital, where all members of staff were kind, reassuring and genuinely supportive, during what was understandably a worrying time. Dr Ramcharan engaged directly with my daughter, taking the time to obtain a comprehensive medical history before clarifying further details with me and outlining the structure of the appointment. He demonstrated extensive knowledge, along with an empathetic approach, and carried out a full, holistic examination. His explanations were clear, accessible, and easy for both of us to understand. We are both very grateful for the care my daughter received and I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Ramcharan.

I always have a good experience when visiting the practice. The staff are always friendly. However, on the last visit I think there are things you guys need to review. I was in for a gel injection into my knee which was being carried out by Mr Dehne in the theatre. He had previously confirmed that it would be a simple procedure and that after a short time I would be fine to drive home. However, on arrival it was clear that the team believed I was in for a knee replacement. I was shown to my own room, asked to select from the menu for the following day, and given medication that I assume I didn't require! Further more, the team were loathed to let me drive home and I had to wait a couple of hours until they could check with Mr Dehne that it would be ok as all the paperwork confirmed otherwise. The theatre staff were double checking with me the reason for my visit so there was a checking procedure in place but you may need to review why there was confusion in the first place.

Mr Aemn Ismail

Under Mr Ismail’s care, I underwent a full hysterectomy alongside removal of my ovaries and a large cyst, by keyhole. Someone was looking over me when I found Mr Ismail; I feel incredibly lucky that he was my Consultant, and words really don’t do his skill or personality justice. Mr Ismail truly sets the benchmark for patient care and he sets it high. He is kind, empathetic, patient and, above all, human. He has a natural ability to put you at ease, which meant I felt completely comfortable discussing all aspects of my symptoms, treatment options and concerns with him. He always had time for me; I never once felt rushed and, most importantly, I always felt genuinely listened to. Mr Ismail is clearly exceptionally skilled in his craft, and it is evident how passionate he is about his speciality. His reputation precedes him, with every member of the medical staff I encountered speaking of him with the highest regard. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

After my 1st consultation I left feeling a little despondent. Mr Mushtaq was quite negative, he didn't think he could help me, but he would try something. My MRI wasn't discussed and I was given little info about the procedure I was going to have, I naturally put this down to being an NHS referral. However my experience during my procedure couldn't be more different, the staff on the team were wonderful, they looked after me so well before and after my procedure, answered any questions and made me feel calm and happy. Mr Mushtaq was brilliant, he talked to me throughout my op and I felt secure in his hands. In my recent follow up appointment with him, he explained everything to me and answered my questions regarding my prognosis and how I should proceed. My overall experience at Pinehill is 5 star, I would definitely recommend it to others for spinal surgery.

I have just had private cataract surgery at Newmedica Norwich, it was an exemplary experience, the staff were so welcoming and the surgeon, Mr Anas Injarie fully explained the procedure and delivered an amazing result. I no longer need contact lens, which I have been wearing for 50 years. Two months earlier Newmedica removed the cataract in my other eye under the NHS. That was a wonderful experience , going private for my remaining eye gave me the flexibility of appointment dates and a premium lens for the best possible vision. I now regret delaying the surgery, I now have two new eyes.

I'm still healing and had to come in for a same day appointment to have something checked and Belinda totally put me at ease and gave me really clear information. Honestly couldn't fault a single element of my experience!

I thought it would be a 10 minute check in but the call with Karen lasted the hour. I did not feel rushed and my concerns were listened to. Karen gave really great advise around adding things to diet that may help my little one and reminding me of all the things I can incorporate to ensure I am covering all food groups and possible allergens. It was a private appoint & I paid for the ILR device. That was fine but I have been disappointed with the follow up since which seems to provide no reassurance that the ILR results are being looked at / reviewed so it is a case of assuming "no news is good news". In my view this is poor, if not unsatisfactory and it seems to me an initial 3 month review email followed by half yearly emails would be welcomed by patients. Also issue of contact phone numbers would be helpful e.g. technical. episode queries

He and Colette have been incredibly supportive throughout our journey, and provided the reassurance that we needed during my most recent pregnancy with scans every fortnight. I had a second c-section in October, and everything went smoothly. My incision is neat, and healed quickly without issue. I really cannot recommend him enough.

This was my first visit to Well Life Oxted. I was very impressed with the Dr I saw. She was very approachable, listened to my concerns and very thorough in her diagnosis. I was also able to voice my concerns about other issues without being rushed and now look forward to sorting out my long term health issues. I was also surprised at the cost of my prescription, not much more than the NHS.
