I was fortunate and privileged to be introduced to Ian Jenkins in Jan 2021 after a referral from colleagues at St Marks Hospital, North London. Having been diagnosed with rectal cancer in 2020 and undergone pre surgery radiotherapy and chemotherapy through the NHS, due to COVID backlogs with NHS procedures, we decided to go privately for future treatment and surgery - one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. Through Ian's skill and professionalism over the last 5 yrs of many surgical and personal consultations and referrals, I am still cancer free and living a relatively normal life with my family in retirement - something I feared, in the early days post diagnosis, I was unlikely to have. Ian has not only, literally, saved my life but also given me a quality of life that I could never of dreamed of after my devastating cancer news back in 2020. I will always be eternally grateful to Ian and his team for his brilliance then and now as he continues to support me and my family with regard to my future health.

I recently completed a course of CBT sessions with Dr Sharon Pettit, focusing on managing my anxiety, worry, and rumination. When I first began, I struggled significantly with social interactions, often feeling socially awkward and fixating on past conversations. My mind would race with worries about things entirely beyond my control, pushing my anxiety levels to an all-time high. It felt like I was in a constant state of fight or flight, from the moment I woke up until I went to bed, leaving me completely drained. Now, almost six months later, I've gained valuable tools to help manage my thoughts and emotions. While I wouldn’t say I’m completely cured, I feel about 75% better and am now enjoying a much happier life. I've decided to take a break from CBT for the time being, but I'm committed to returning if I notice my anxiety levels rising again.

My care at this clinic has been outstanding and I would recommend it to anyone needing expert psychiatric support for complex trauma. The service is psychiatry-led, with the consultant coordinating treatment plans and supervising input from psychology, occupational therapy, group therapy and trauma modalities including EMDR, DBT, CBT and embodied psychotherapy. This ensured that care was coherent rather than fragmented. I initially attended four in-person sessions per week and have now safely transitioned to monthly. The team have specialist expertise in workplace bullying, institutional power dynamics and identity-related trauma, which is unusual to find. The level of understanding and clinical leadership has made a meaningful difference to my recovery, and I could not recommend the service more highly.

The waiting area had few chairs and not enough for the people waiting. The people around there that gave me paperwork and told me where to wait, were polite and helpful. The appointment with the consultant was really distressing, I couldn't ask questions and didn't discussed with me the plan, just set up steps without getting me involved on her treatment plan. This experience was very negative from what I expected when you go to a professional asking for advice and reviewing if your body is working well. I recently visited Mr Challand (Jan 2026) for an initial consultation to discuss some post childbearing issues (haemorrhoid's). Mr Challand was amazing from start to finish, he made me feel so at ease in a subject that is so personal to myself. Mr Challand thoroughly explained all treatment options in a professional manner yet in layman’s terms so that I understood fully what treatment operations are available and the full extent of my condition. The appointment was not rushed and Mr Challand answered all my questions at a high level and has made me feel so at ease.

Very pleased with Clarity who saw me very shortly after referral and operated on a week later. I was going to wait for the next operation on the NHS on the 4th February but when that was moved to sometime in April, I took the next available appt on January 20th for a private operation.
