I am writing to share my experience with my MRI appointment last Friday. Unfortunately, it was not a smooth or positive experience. The day before my appointment, someone called to delay my scheduled time by 45 minutes. However, I was unwell and resting, so I missed the call. There was no text message or email notification, which meant I did not receive any confirmation of this change. On the day of the scan, I left home according to my original appointment time and was already on the train when I finally received a call informing me about the delay. To avoid wasting time, I arranged something else to do during that 45-minute gap. However, while I was in the middle of that task, I received another call saying that my original slot was now available and asking me to come immediately. This constant back-and-forth was very frustrating. I have my own schedule and time management, I cannot simply drop everything whenever the center calls. When I finally arrived at the center at the new delayed time, I found that the entrance was difficult to locate and once I reached reception, I still had to wait before being called in. During the scan itself, everything felt very rushed. The moment the scan ended, before I even had a chance to sit up, I was told to “hurry up” and leave because they were busy. This was especially difficult for me as I was having the MRI due to a concussion. After the scan, I felt dizzy and unsteady. Instead of being given a moment to recover, I felt pressured to move immediately. I had to retreat to the changing room to rest for a while before I could leave safely. Overall, the lack of clear communication, last-minute changes and rushed handling left me feeling very disappointed. I hope this feedback can help improve your scheduling system and patient care so others do not go through the same stressful experience.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have had such an exceptional obstetrician for the delivery of my baby. From our very first meeting, she was warm, personable, and deeply kind—qualities that instantly put me at ease and made me feel truly cared for. Miss Kotechas approach was refreshingly bespoke. She listened attentively to my concerns and worked with me to create a mutual birth plan that felt safe, respectful, and empowering. Every step of the journey was explained clearly and thoughtfully, without a trace of medical jargon. I felt informed, involved, and confident in the decisions we made together. On the day of the surgery, Miss Kotecha came to see me beforehand—not just to go over the plan, but to check in emotionally, alleviate any fears, and let me know exactly when I’d be taken into theatre. Her presence was calm and reassuring, and I never felt rushed. It was as if she had all the time in the world just for me. After the birth, she returned to check on both me and my baby, making sure we were comfortable and well. That continuity of care meant everything—it felt personal, not procedural. Thanks to her, the experience was not only medically smooth but emotionally uplifting. Now, both baby and I are thriving, and I look back on the birth with gratitude and joy. If you're seeking an obstetrician who combines clinical excellence with heartfelt compassion, someone who will treat you as a partner in your care and make you feel truly seen, I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is a rare gem.

I did have to wait a while before I was seen, maybe 30 minutes or so, but all the staff were wonderful, caring and reassuring all the way through to being cared for after the procedure. However I feel that the consultant over sprayed the anaesthetic in my throat, he sprayed about 3-4 squirts in my throat, stood back for a moment then sprayed another 3-4 squirts, some of which ended up going into the back of my nasal passages at the back of my throat which gave me a terrible burning sensation in the back of my nasal passages. Maybe this amount is normal, but having had the procedure at another establishment some years earlier, I had no such experience, again I found that there was so much mucus in my throat from the anaesthetic after the procedure that I found myself gagging on the mucus and I was coughing loads of it up into tissues the nurse had to provide me with. Plus I was unable to swallow properly for what seemed like ages. But over all, the staff were wonderful and very caring, but if I need this again, after this experience, I think I would prefer to be sedated.

I was referred to Professor Singh for Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections at KIMS Hospital in Maidstone to treat severe golfer’s elbow (in both elbows).  I had 2 treatments, around 6 weeks apart.  Whilst the post-procedural discomfort due to swelling made me worry that it hadn’t worked, Professor Singh is a really nice person to deal with and explained that the body takes several weeks to a few months for the treatment to really start taking effect, and that it will continue to work and alleviate the issue over many months; hopefully resolving it completely.  I have just had my 3-month check up following 2 treatments and can say the improvement is impressive. My pain has reduced considerably and I’m assured that it should continue to improve even more over the coming months.  I’m really grateful to Professor Singh and KIMS and wouldn’t hesitate to return for further treatments in future if needed.

This is , or should be: a two way experience betweeen the Consultant and the Patient , This morning Mr Daron Smith , ENGAGED in explaining what technical medical info he needed , before he would decide how to deal with the three problem areas . The Loose stones in my bladder , seen in earlier scan (s) at C W S. His need to talk to Consultant Owen Warren , and others already in the C and W loop . The purpose is for absolote clarification . Similarly Mr Smith would discover any facts unclear in the abdominal area . I attempted to give Mr Smith to my best endeavour, my understanding of our discussion . Such a discussion had never taken place with me before ..at C ans W . I agreed the next steps .. the first one being for me to have relevant scans on Thusday 18 the Sept. followed by a second consultation with Mr Smith with me , one to one .

DR Johal from day one seeing me was very polite, professional, courteous and showed urgency towards my case. He explained how severe/complexed my case was that an extensive operation would be best fitted. DR Johal - reassured me and underlined all risks for the operation in which (currently post op) all has been well. On recovery - DR Johal has shown nothing but sincerity, care and a gentle touch. This doctor has a real eye for detail and personally feel like he has gone above and beyond. His level of experience, professional and care is unmatched. This sort of level is something you would see in Private Healthcare. WYCOMBE & Amersham are VERY LUCKY TO HAVE such a surgeon within their team. If rewards or incentives are incentivised then I would strongly agree and push for DR Johals to receive one

Dr Murray can find all necessary info on Cleveland Clinic website https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/mast-cell-activation-syndrome He might learn that people with mast cell activation syndrome also have respiratory symptoms. I do not find my consultations helpful. To refer me to physiotherapist instead of asking me about my medical history or for letters from other specialists was the easiest thing to do. I would like you to review my consultation as of yesterday and to let me know whether clinical guidelines were followed. I also would like you to consider the letters from various consultants that I sent to Dr Murray secretary yesterday. In a meantime I will follow Dr Murray advice and will breath in and out, especially during the times of emergency.

I have been struggling with uterine fibroids that cause severe pain and heavy bleeding, which has had a big impact on my quality of life. From my first appointment, Dr Woodhead was incredibly understanding, compassionate, and thorough. She listened carefully to my concerns, explained my options clearly, and never made me feel rushed. Her calm and professional manner helped me feel reassured during a very difficult time, and I finally felt that my symptoms were being taken seriously. The whole team at MUMS were welcoming and supportive, and the clinic itself is clean and efficient. I am so grateful to Dr Woodhead for her care and expertise, and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking gynaecological support.

I’ve been working with Erin for around nine months and have found her to be consistently professional and well-informed about my injury. She takes the time to understand how pain levels fluctuate and encourages a broader view of recovery, looking at things like step count and day-to-day activity, not just what happens in the clinic. Her approach is thoughtful and patient-focused, and she’s good at adjusting treatment based on how I’m feeling each week. While progress hasn’t always been linear, I’ve appreciated her steady support and the way she connects physical recovery with lifestyle factors.

I’ve always found the team at Viva Health Laboratories to be approachable and genuinely willing to help whenever needed. They are flexible in their approach and provide a very personalised service, which makes a big difference compared to larger providers where that personal touch can sometimes be missing. Their infrastructure has also improved considerably in recent years, and from the standpoint of processing blood tests and results, there are no issues at all. What stands out most for me is their flexibility and the individual care they bring to their clients, it really sets them apart.

I called at 5.15pm, in pain and knowing that I needed antibiotics. The idea of having to wait until the morning was an awful thought but I knew my chances of speaking to a doctor so late in the day was very unlikely but work a try. In five minutes the receptionist had spoken to the doctor and she called me back for a telephone consultation. By 6pm I had picked up my filled prescription from the pharmacy. I simply could not have asked for better service. It went way beyond my expectations but I was sooooo grateful.

I would highly recommend King Edward VII's hospital to anyone! After being bashed around the NHS, i decided to go private and felt like I got the absolute best care at this hospital. Everyone in the team was so friendly, professional and quick to respond. I felt thoroughly looked after throughout my outpatients and inpatients. I stayed a total of 3 days/3 nights at this hospital and I wasn't desperate to leave. The food is top quality and the team have been highly trained. I wouldn't choose to go anywhere else.

I had a hip replacement operation performed by Mr Bartlett at the Princess Grace hospital. From the initial consultation through to surgery and post operation care the service provided by Mr Bartlett was exemplary. I walked out of the hospital after two days using only a walking stick and after the first week I was walking normally without any aids. After 8 weeks I resumed yoga and spin classes at out local sports centre. I would highly recommend Mr Bartlett to anyone considering hip replacement surgery.
