It hardly classed as a visit given the appointment was less than 10 minutes. Mr Al-Lami himself was professional, polite and efficient. But given his reception staff at Kent ENT had called me multiple times to book the initial appointment following referral, and then called again to change the date of the appointment, it would have been appreciated if they had at least once outlined the fees involved. While Mr Al-Lami's consultation fees are on the website (out of date by the way, it lists £195 and I was charged £200), they could have clarified that there will be an additional charge for the procedure, and then another charge on top of that from the hospital. So the approx £200 I had planned to spend ballooned to close to £500 for a ten minute appointment. You have to love those hidden costs. Mr Al-Lami had to spend the first few minutes of the appointment outlining these costs, and at this point you feel railroaded as you've already paid close to £200 for the appointment, so if you decline the additional costs required, you've essentially spent that money on an undiagnosed chat. All in all an appalling experience, and the practitioner should hold whoever is booking his appointments to a higher standard when booking new clients in, and make it necessary to explain the full fee breakdown in advance.

Dr Minas is an excellent and exceptionally knowledgeable professional. He is able to combine a very compassionate bedside manner with this expert knowledge. You can tell he thinks deeply about patient questions and takes great to ensure the patient is helped as much as possible to navigate complexity. I didn't end up undergoing treatment with him laparoscopically, as my issue requires a different approach, but I would have been very confident had I needed to do so. He also took multiple times to call me between appointments where I had questions which was so greatly appreciated, and really helped calm my nerves. Steven is an excellent and empathetic therapist. After having several bad experiences with other therapists I met Steven and immediately felt at ease. Steven listens and is non judgemental. I was called into the surgery ahead of my appointment time. Everything about my tooth extraction was explained carefully, with an invitation to ask any further questions. The injections (usually the worst aspect) and the extraction were painless and I was encouraged to wait in the chair for a few moments afterwards to make sure that I was OK. An excellent experience!
