Mr Darshak Patel

I cannot recommend Mr Darshak Patel highly enough. Before my ICL surgery, I was severely myopic and relied on glasses or contact lenses every day. The results have been truly life-changing. I can now see better than I ever could with glasses or contacts, which has had a huge positive impact on my quality of life. Mr Patel was exceptional throughout the entire process. His depth of knowledge, expertise and professionalism gave me complete confidence from the outset. He was always honest, transparent and realistic about what to expect, and he patiently answered my many questions without ever making me feel rushed. The aftercare has been equally impressive, with excellent support and reassurance throughout my recovery. I am incredibly grateful for the outstanding result and would wholeheartedly recommend Mr Patel to anyone considering ICL surgery. Thank you for giving me vision I never thought possible.

Janis Let me take you on my journey, from the beginning to new beginnings… The London Vision Clinic, a pristine haven, is like stepping into a 100 star spa. State of the art everything, including the energy bars. Scans with machines that look as if they belong in a 2050 version of Star Wars. The consultation with Mr Darshak Patel, his patience, professionalism, understanding and absolute brilliance. My varifocals, with which I had been struggling, vision now slightly clouded by cataracts, stifling and uncomfortable as I would push my glasses up or lift them slightly off my nose, remove them, try to watch TV, read the paper, check Instagram, none of which worked. I was booked for the surgery. Then I began to fret. I am not one to scare easily, but I realised that this was a decision entirely of my own choosing. I researched and approached Dr Google, always lurking around every corner. I had no need, because everything was laid out to me with complete transparency during my consultation. So, I waited for a sign, which may have come in so many possibilities. Until the evening before my procedure, when somehow, I just knew that this was right and my fear faded. On the day, I was nurtured. Anaesthetic dropped carefully into each eye every 15 minutes, a yellow sticker dot placed above my left eyebrow and given a small gift in the form of a tiny tablet of sedation. After a while it was time. I hugged my mum and wandered, at this point slightly off kilter, into the surgery where I was greeted by Mr Patel and nurses. Mr Patel was honestly the best surgeon I have ever encountered. From my initial consultation through to my LASIK procedure and aftercare, he was incredibly professional, reassuring and kind. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the whole process. The procedure itself was so quick and smooth, and I felt that I was in the safest possible hands. I am extremely happy with my results and genuinely cannot thank Mr Patel enough for giving me such a positive experience. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering LASIK — an exceptional surgeon and a lovely person.

Mr Patel has recently completed my eye surgery and during the whole process from start to finish, he was fantastic in every way. Prior to my first consultation, I was very nervous about the process and had been putting off enquiring about the surgery for a long time, but, upon meeting him, I knew straight away that I was in good hands. I had ICL surgery with Dr Darshak Patel and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. Everything was clearly explained helping me to feel comfortable and confident throughout the process. The procedure went smoothly, felt painless, although admittedly not the most comfortable at times but I am extremely happy with the results. The care and professionalism from Darshak and the wider team were outstanding before, during and post surgery. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering the surgery.

My whole experience of the clinic is positive. Everyone from reception to surgeon seemed genuinely interested in giving their best.

I’m in my 60s and had a -10 prescription from age 8. Fixing that seemed unlikely. But the team at LVC led by Mr Patel were at all points excellent. Comprehensive scans and tests, thorough discussions and explanations and - on the day - a very smooth pain free lens replacement op for both eyes. I honestly cannot praise them enough. I have excellent vision now and NO MORE SPECS! Don’t hesitate. Do it. And use LVC. They also have fab biscuits in reception.
