Mr Aamir Zubairy

Mr Aamir Iqbal Zubairy is a Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon with over 35 years of medical experience. He graduated with an MBBS from the University of Karachi in 1987 and has been a consultant at East Lancashire Teaching Hospital since 2002, alongside this he practices privately at Spire Fylde Coast Hospital, Ramsay Euxton Hall Hospital and The Beardwood Hospital. Fellowship-trained in foot and ankle surgery, Mr Zubairy specialises in adult foot and ankle disorders, including arthritis, keyhole bunions, hammer / claw toes, neuromas, (MIS Bunion) plantar fasciitis, ankle replacement and fusion, and sports-related injuries such as turf toe and ankle sprains.

He performs between 550 and 600 surgical procedures annually and consults approximately 2500 patients per year across his whole practice. His surgical expertise covers a wide range of procedures, including ankle joint fusion, total ankle replacement, keyhole or MIS bunion correction, cheilectomy, flatfoot correction, hammertoe and mallet toe surgery, Morton's neuroma excision, and minimally invasive foot and ankle techniques. He is also trained in non-surgical aesthetic treatments, including Botox and fillers.

Mr Zubairy is a fully qualified trauma and orthopaedic surgeon and a GMC-registered trainer for junior doctors and surgeons. He has served as Co-Clinical Director, audit and Education Lead within his department. He has been examiner for university and MRCS and FRCS (orth). Outside of work, he enjoys his young family of 3 and 2 grown up children, gardening and caring for rescue animals with his wife. He is a medical examiner for East Lancashire Medical Examiner Services.
