When booking the consultation with Nick Panay, the earliest available date was 2 months in advance. I was required to pay the full £395 under pressure at time, being told that the consultation would be lost unless I paid by 5pm. My understanding that this appointment would be for specialist, in-depth input tailored to a complex clinical history. Given that context, I was disappointed that the consultation felt limited to a reiteration of guideline-based recommendations, with little opportunity to explore causation, individual nuance, or the specific questions I had prepared. At several points during the consultation, I felt that my questions were closed down rather than explored, and the overall tone felt more directive than supportive. Given my long and complex medical history, I had hoped for a more compassionate and collaborative approach. Instead, I left the consultation feeling unheard and dismissed, which was distressing. I had hoped for greater depth and collaborative discussion, particularly in light of the significant upfront cost. I was given no additional value beyond what I already knew and was told in any case, that I required a further consultation to finalise a treatment plan. I have been in contact with the practice and explained that the consultation did not meet the reasonable expectations set by the cost, structure, or positioning of this service. I appreciate that since, I have received a considered response from the Practice Manager and the consultation and fee are being reviewed.

This is my second knee replacement under Professor Jari at Spire Hospital and I am highly delighted with the result. I had my left knee replaced in 2021 and my right knee replaced in November 2025, both under Professor Jari using the Maco Robotic Surgery technique. I understand Professor Jari has performed many knee replacements using this Maco Robotic Surgery. I have had no issues with healing or infections following my surgery and the recovery is going very well. After just three weeks in recovery I am no longer using crutches for support and my Physio Therapist has signed me off as I have full mobility in my knee. Professor Jari does set a strict exercise programme which in my opinion is the key to full mobility and a quicker recovery time. I would strongly recommend anyone who is thinking of having a Knee replacement to consider the Maco Robotic Surgery under Professor Jari at the Spire Hospital. This surgery is more accurate, less painful and a quicker recovery time. I have friends who have had knee replacements done via a surgeon and they have taken much longer to recover and in some cases suffered issues following their surgery. I can only speak from my own experience but both my knee replacements are perfect. The icing on the cake for me is Professor Jari has managed to straighten both my legs so I am no longer bow legged, perfect! Stephen W

The staff were incredibly helpful, understanding and supportive. I explained my concern and was given an urgent appointment. Vanessa S is the perfect person for her role and puts people at ease immediately. She secured me a hearing test and a consultation appointment on the same day. She also helped me with some of the administrative elements of using my private healthcare as the process has changed since I last used it. Very helpful, friendly, professional and reassuring. I was greeted on arrival, immediately shown to the waiting area and taken straight through to my first appointment, even though I was a few minutes early. Cannot fault the service I received and the care and professionalism was consistent throughout.

EXCELLANT ☆☆☆☆☆ From the first consultation Mr Krupa put me at ease....incredibly professional ..helpful and informative making sure i fully understood my options. As a 57 year old i needed to have my 20 year old implants removed and replaced......not only were they encapsulated but too large for my body frame lso requiring an uplift ..with lots of info and another consultation decisions were made to replace and uplift...i fully trusted Mr Krupa to make the right decisions during surgery. My surgery was 3 weeks ago today and ive had my final check up and i cant thank Mr Krupa enough. The results are more than I could hope for ....Mr Krupa is an excellent surgeon Thankyou

The waiting has been difficult as communication has been poor. I have struggled to get a response from the office both via email and phone. I had a combined assessment and received my ADHD outcome 3 weeks ago. I am still waiting for my autism assessment outcome despite being told the clinical decision has been made. The staff I saw as part of my assessment were fantastic and the support team have been helpful (when I’ve been able to contact them). It’s just a shame that the poor communication has spoilt the overall experience. It would have been good to under the process flow at each stage.

Mr Dehne, has given me back my life. I needed a total knee replacement after suffering from an accident. He was very thorough in his explanations and examinations. I am transformed! I came to see Mrs Langton Hewer because I had suddenly gone completely deaf in one ear. She listened to me when I explained my anxieties and then examined my ears. She diagnosed otis externa which was causing pain and there was water behind the wax causing deafness. She then very carefully removed wax and debris from my ear and my hearing was immediately restored. I am so grateful that this was diagnosed so expertly and then sorted out immediately. I would strongly recommend her for ear problems and for removal of ear wax. Thank you.

It was my last visit to see Professor McDonnell, following a hip replacement. He had good news, he didn't want to see me again, as I had progressed so well. I was pleased, but also for him, as he obviously did a brilliant jon on my hip. Stephen is very human, caring and dilligent. I certainly would recommend him and refer to him if I needed any furtger surgery. After experiencing so much pain, cancelled holidays and social arrangements, at last he has given me my lafe back. On Saturday, I attended Canterbury Hospital at 7:30 am for a minor operation on my finger. Two nurses looked after me and prepared me beforehand. Emma went out of her way to help. I had a very good discussion with the test and we decided that general anaesthetic would be the best route. Mr. Smith carried out the operation and I was lucky to see him afterwards when I came round and he said it had been completely successful. Everything seemed very calm, organised and professional. Before my consultation, I had sent over a couple of recent echocardiogram reports as well as some blood and urine test results. This helped form the basis of my consultation. Professor Rajani has an easy-going manner and gave me his professional advice regarding his observations on the reports. I felt very reassured by our discussion and there is no need for me to have a follow-up appointment at this time.

as ever, the administration has let your business down. i had an MRI scan at Cleveland Victoria at 1000hrs and the outcome should have been given to Neurologist Dr Richard Perry. Having had more than 35 minutes consultation, i asked about the MRI scan and it had not been sent to him. as a result, we had to have a lunch around the corner and had to return an hour later to continue the consultation. I have complained a number of times about the poor administartion. this is yet another.

excellent experience, my second! prof Griffin is amazing. but all the staff were fantastic. i would like to particularly mention, the 2 staff nurses who looked after me. One was spanish and i think the other was a bank nurse from Romania . both were reallly excellent as a retired nurse myself I recognise skill and expertise.
