For the past two years I was in so much pain it was absolutely horrendous and my quality of life was affected, the pain would sometimes last for 12 plus hours or more. After a few appointments with my GP I was finally diagnosed with gallstones and was very quickly referred by my GP to see Mr Osama Moussa at the Spires diagnostics clinic and within a matter of weeks I had my surgery to remove my gallbladder. I have to say a very big thank you to Mr Moussa, who in my opinion is an exceptional surgeon and a really nice person, he is very easy to talk with. Mr Moussa you have now taken away all that pain that made my life so uncomfortable, I am very grateful to you. I would also like to thank Kayleigh Mr Moussa's secretary who also is a lovely person to talk with and very professional On the day of my surgery everything went smoothly and all the staff at the Spires hospital were very nice and welcoming . Dr Shah was my anesthetist and he came to see me and put me at ease. I don't know the names of the nurses and all other staff at the hospital and diagnosis clinic but I do want to say a big thank you to you all and thank you for taking such good care of me. Thank you

I travelled by car from the north west to the Kingsbridge Diagnostic Centre, tucked in behind the Kings Hall. Parking was difficult to find, and as the letter instructed me to arrive 15 minutes early, I anxiously clambered out, leaving my husband to park the car while I located the building and the correct floor. The reception staff were mediocre at best, though I did manage to get checked in. Once called through, the procedure itself was completed and an outcome provided. However, the consultant was abrupt and condescending. While I appreciate that private healthcare is under pressure due to NHS waiting times, this is not the standard of service I would expect for something I am paying for. The assistant involved in the process appeared either tired or lacking job satisfaction in their role. Altogether, the atmosphere was dispiriting, and I could not wait to leave the building and be on my way.

I had a really positive experience at the hospital during my recent surgery. From the moment I arrived, everything was organised, calm, and reassuring. The staff at every stage — reception, nursing, surgical, and aftercare — were friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive. The hospital itself was clean, comfortable, and well-run. I felt safe and well looked after throughout my stay. Any questions I had were answered clearly, and the team always made sure I understood what was happening and what to expect next. Overall, my experience couldn’t have been better. The care, communication, and compassion shown by everyone truly stood out. I’m very grateful for the excellent service and would highly recommend this hospital to anyone needing treatment.

I was in private unit ,I had an apointment with Mr. al Midani. For the subjects kidney , hernia, obesity. I turst Mr. Al Midani. He is a perfect doctor. 👏👏🧿🧿⭐⭐. He thinks with the patient, on the side of the patient. He explains everything briefly. We had the obesity subject in the last 6-8 months. ,it goes very well. I got 18-20 kg lighter. And in a few months Most probably I will have the surgery for my hernia occured after the kidney transplantation/mediterranian univ. Mr. Al Midani will do the hernia operation here in Royal Free. Because he has the experience on both hernia and kidney transplantation. Thanks to him for all his efforts.. And congrats 👏🧿⭐

Dr Donald Hodge

Made contact with the Spire and was offered an appointment within days with Dr Hodge. He was kind, thorough, knowledgeable and reassuring. He took a detailed history of our 8 month old, carried out skin prick tests for various allergens, provided advice on the milk and soya ladders, assessed our baby’s eczema and referred us to his dietician contact. We had our baby’s peanut allergy confirmed and were provided with an action plan for this. Would highly recommend to anyone on the weaning journey, whose baby has had an allergic reaction, which has caused them worry about introducing other allergens. Thank you, Dr Hodge.

My first appointment was cancelled by the clinic this was after telling me to pay the fee upfront and re booked two weeks later. I arrived on time for my appointment and was told there would be a delay again. After waiting for sometime I asked the staff to find out what the delay was I was then seen by the clinician half an hour later. My experience with the clinician I felt was not worth the fee. I was not examined correctly I was not given any advice as to how to deal with the issue and the letter I received afterwards was not very accurate or informative. So I would not go back again or recommend.

I first saw Dr Seth two years ago and recently returned in October/November 2025. He’s exceptional at what he does, and absolutely worth waiting for. As always, he took the time to explain everything properly and map out a sensible plan and next steps. What I really value is how comfortable he makes you feel—he’s generous with his knowledge and never rushed. He’s also incredibly considerate in the way he coordinates directly with my physio, which removes any risk of miscommunication on my side. Dr Seth is consistently outstanding, and I feel very well looked after under his care.

My surgeon was Shohista Saidkasimova and she was really wonderful. She put me at ease during the initial consultation, extremely interested in all my questions and explaining all items of the surgery in layman’s terms. During the operation she asked what kind of music I liked and supplied this in the background, not intrusively but loud enough to provide an excellent distraction. But what really impressed me was the way she interacted with me personally throughout the operation. I have nothing but praise for this lovely lady and would throughly recommend her.

Then Doctors Gyampoh has seen me for a verbal consultation explained process regarding my concern regarding the condition and scan on the day. After that scan took place with another Doctor. Professor Alwyn D'Souza

Professor D’Souza is a constant source of reassurance and demonstrates a deep experience in a gentle and thoughtful manner. His approach is very educated, but pragmatic. In the case of my surgery, he gave excellent feedback on what made my revision difficult, while also explaining very clearly intraoperative discoveries that created problems he had to work around. For the first time in 16 years since a severe injury to my nose, I now see the light at the end of the tunnel to this journey and I owe this to Professor D’Souza.

Dr Harding was great. I felt I didn’t answer the questions correctly. With my brain fog, especially at the end of the day, I cannot always find ways to explain things so when asked how something made me feel I couldn’t find the words so said I do not know. If I had some of the questions before hand, I would be able to process and explain it all better. I feel I failed to tell him about how it impacts my daily to day life with fatigue, feeling dizzy, nausea, digestive issues etc.
