I have had two appointments with Dr John O'Dwyer to date. On each occasion his compassionate, reassuring and attentive manner made me feel relaxed and heard - by listening carefully, asking perceptive questions to fully understand my situation, and by giving me ample time to think before I replied. In turn he responded to my questions with appropriate detail and language for me to fully appreciate the underlying causes of my symptoms. He had remembered me from my initial appointment so I could go straight into the second appointment without the need to recap previous information. Dr O’Dwyer sent his follow up letters in a timely manner which reflected an accurate, complete and articulate summary of our appointments; during the first visit I had asked him to document one of his specific statements, and he had remembered to do so. I have had many interactions with medically trained professionals through both my work as an auditor in clinical trials and of course as a patient, and it was refreshing to have been treated so well and provided with such high quality documentation.

Dr Tan provided incredible support throughout my pregnancy and delivery. She communicated information thoughtfully and clearly, always taking the time to explain things in a way that felt reassuring rather than overwhelming. I truly felt that she had my best interests in mind every step of the way, especially during labour. During moments of uncertainty, she was especially calming and made me feel confident in the decisions we were making together. Her care, professionalism, and compassion made a huge difference in my experience especially as this was my first pregnancy, and I’m so grateful to have had her as my doctor. I enjoyed being looked after by Dr Tan, and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a consultant who is highly intelligent, knowledgeable and genuinely caring.

Dr Deepan Vyas was absolutely brilliant. He made us feel calm and relaxed from the moment we met him and took the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly. He was incredibly empathetic and wonderful with my 3-month-old baby. My son was diagnosed with severe eczema, and I became quite upset during our initial appointment. Dr Vyas reassured me, made me feel supported, and genuinely helped ease my worries. The treatment he recommended worked very well for my son’s body, and we are now discussing how best to maintain the improvement. I have told everyone what a great experience we’ve had with him and truly hope to continue having follow-up appointments with Dr Vyas.

Paid privately for Hip Replacement, initial appointment was disappointing with an hour wait, and a non interested surgeon. A few blips along the way, upon arrival on surgery day, they had me down for a knee replacement not hip, staff on night shift not the friendliest, and thet x rayed the incorrect hip after the surgery. Day shift were great and surgery went well. I will say I expected more for paying privately however the main thing I've had my surgery instead of the ridiculous wait time on the nhs.

On arrival, I was anxious and terrified at the same time, and had been for some time after having a positive result of prostrate cancer ( 7 out of 10) also a bone scan, followed by a PET scan all taking time and stress level as you can imagine high, on meeting Mr Kalkar, he quickly got around to telling me all scans were clear and he confidently clear that I would be cured, my emotions were through the roof, most professional and caring person, thank you

I would highly recommend Mr Bhattacharyya to carry out this form of surgery (arthroscopy). He was completely clear in what options were available to me, explaining the pros and cons of each one. Since my surgery , I am now approx 8 post and am participating in more exercise (strength training, circuit classes, Pilates etc) than I was doing prior to suffering the pain. He was completely approachable and empathetic.

I had trouble releasing urine, as well as blood being present in the urine. Blood would still come out after urination. A stricture in my urethra was the reason for my discomfort. Mr Varun Sahdev was able to determine that and propose various procedure options. After the operation, all my discomfort gradually disappeared, with a very significant change right after the operation.

. It’s not clear where the private department is (or any other) as no reception desk at hospital entrance (only a security man on other duties). When in 2nd floor private area do not expect trappings of luxury or flashy equipment. You do get kindness, attentiveness and skill and efficiency. Came out with problem fixed. No cafe.

Excellent care, very kind and compassionate staff, ward and all areas were immaculately clean. The food offered was really nourishing and fresh and there were plenty of options. I was given lots of privacy, and even had a dressing gown to walk to theatre. Cannot fault the experience I had today for my procedure under sedation.
