Excellent. I am currently undergoing IVF treatment with Professor Yacoub Khalaf at Guys Hospital in London. A few days ago Prof. Khalaf successfully collected 3 eggs, which I am very happy about. So far I am very impressed and completely satisfied with the high quality of medical care at the IVF clinic at Guys Hospital directed by Prof. Khalif. Previously I have undergone IVF treatments at one NHS and two private clinics in London, and I can confidently say that the integrity, honesty and personal care I have received from Prof Khalaf is exceptional, and well beyond that of the other clinics. The staff is well trained, and the process has been very efficient and easy. Unlike the other clinics they have not prescribed unnecessary medication or unnecessary scans. As a result the experience at Guys has been less emotionally and physically intrusive. My husband and I can recommend Prof Khalaf very highly.

I had a number of appointments to see Mr Warr at the Nuffield, and it was always administered well and on time. On the day of the surgery there was initially some confusion on which hospital room I was assigned to but that was cleared up fairly quickly - it was 7am so perhaps a beginning of shift handover issue. The nurses were caring, professional, attentive and very friendly before and after the operation. The anaesthetist visited and was very clear explaining the process, friendly and reassuring. A very good experience. I also appreciated that my parents could be with me before the operation as I'm quite young and not used to being in hospital. Overall a very good experience. Thank you.

I was extremely pleased with my right knee replacement journey from beginning to end. I was kept fully informed and taken care of very well at the spire with Mr Leong and the staff. Mr Leong is very approachable and down to earth which relaxes you straight away. I was extremely nervous about having my second knee replaced as the first took a good 2 years for me to even think it was worth it. Straight away i knew this one would be different and it is. I was on theatre for about 45 mins and stayed in for 1 night as i had a problem with low blood pressure. I honestly cannot fault Mr Leong as didn't feel rushed with him and answered any questions i had .

The reception was not particularly efficient. I’d paid for the consultation in advance but asked for payment. I did have to pay for blood tests & waited 25 minutes because the receptionist was unable to transfer the amount from the laptop to the card machine. The dryer in the first floor toilet was broken but no hand towels were provided to dry my hands. It was the same exactly a week earlier. I also received numerous text messages & emails most were repetitive & caused confusion as several arrived the same day. The saving grace was thankfully the clinical staff were friendly & efficient.

Mr Patani has looked after me from my very first appointment 17 months ago, when my cancer was diagnosed. I cannot praise him highly enough - he has quite simply saved my life. He is incredibly thorough, speaks in clear and appropriate language so I have always been informed, and has always been patient and kind. Mr Patani performed my surgery and did a superb job. He is meticulous about every detail and I always felt that I was in the best hands. His nurses are incredible, endlessly patient, and ready with a hug and a tissue when needed!

I saw Mr Ali Abbas recently and I was pleased with the visit. He was very thorough and explained things very clearly. He took his time to consider a differential diagnosis for my problem and the course of action he suggested has helped me feeling better after years of increasing pain. What I liked the most is that his approach was not limited to treating the symptoms now but to protect the health of my eyes in the long term. His secretary Natasha Masih-Lal was also very helpful with appointments etc.

In general, their service is excellent and easy to navigate. The only minor inconvenience is a small systems organisation issue. Data collection forms are sent as soon as follow-up appointments are scheduled (6 months in advance), and so the information would be out of date if completed at this stage. A workaround is to email for a new form link shortly before the appointment date, and to their credit they are always happy to comply with this.

I can’t be positive enough about my experience at Spire with Dr Hodge. After 6 years of not feeling heard or having answers relating to my daughter’s eczema, it was such a relief to have this appointment. Dr Hodge really took an interest in all of my daughter’s history and finally gave us answers as to what causes it. He gave us clear advice and information and was fantastic with my little girl. Thank you so much!

Miss Summerhayes is fantastic. She is very reassuring, friendly and knowledgeable. She has a terrific bedside manner, which eased the strss of my cancer treatment. Lyn Corlass keeps the process running smoothly and has always gone the extra mile to ensure that there was minimal waiting time for tests, treatments and appointments. Over all, they have made a very difficult time, much easier to deal with.

Joanna is genuine, professional and kind. In our last 3 months of sessions I have grown in confidence and can feel the difference it has made to my attitude towards food, exercise and weight loss. Joanna’s approach was completely centred around my needs and challenges which is a refreshing change to the one size fits all diets and exercise programmes. I would highly recommend her to anyone!!

I didn’t have a negative experience with the consultant except that he disclosed the result of the procedure to my relative in front of other patients and staff in a busy waiting area. My relative noticed other people staring and this was clearly not appropriate. This should be handled more professionally in a private room.
