Professor Chinoy’s explanations and clinical opinion and advice were valuable and I ultimately mostly agreed with what he was saying (that I don’t have an autoimmune condition). However, I felt that his bedside manner and empathy was lacking and not up to expectation of his position. At times I felt slightly patronised, not fully understanding of the reasons for seeking a rheumatology review. Given I had completed the pre-visit questionnaire meticulously, I felt that he only focussed on certain aspects of the information, disregarded any positive information provided and therefore was not holistic. He didn’t appreciate that whilst I currently feel unable to be as physically active, it is not because I don’t want to or that I have never been inclined to exercise. I also felt when examining my weaker side, he did not take care to provide countermeasures (twice) despite me having said several times prior to examination that I felt that it is considerably weaker. In retrospect, it may have been more prudent for him to examine my stronger side (for better comparison) before the weak side. I would consider this a basic aspect of clinical examination.

As I am not a well person and a wheelchair user, the wait was longer due to my health and help to get out. The staff were very understanding around this. I found though, beyond reception the phone system was not the easiest due to the very short length of time given to leave your message, which for people who are disabled, so not the fastest just basic messages of name, number, DOB plus short message, it frequently cut off before you had finished. Beyond that, it was a pleasant experience as it was the least painful steroid injection I'd had to date and I did let the consultant know that. The staff were helpful and accommodating as a wheelchair user plus self employed PA we know we take up space, so not the easiest inside a small room. Thankfully I can still transfer which helps so I can fold the wheelchair up once on to the couch. The staff were very helpful around my safety doing so which is always really appreciated. Please thank them for me.

I was getting ready to leave home in Broadstairs to travel to Canterbury. My Son had rearranged his work to drive me. I received a phone call from the consultant I was going to see. He was under the impression that it was a telephone consultation. As it happened as far as the consultant was concerned it was not necessary for me to travel to Canterbury. He was able to tell me results of MRI and what he felt was the plan of action. There were some crossed wires and it was lucky that I had not started out earlier to use public transport. . Also lucky that the consultant had not waited till.the appointment time on the letter to ring me as i would have been at his clinic.. I was not concerned that I had not got to make the journey.

Very happy with the set up all round. Consultant amazingly helpful in comparison. He was extremely knowledgeable and very concerned . I liked the fact that he actually listened when I explained my problem. ( Its tedious even for me to hear so I can understand the need to switch off at times)...!...but obviously extremely painful ! The actual appointment with the consultant was about 30 minutes. He examined me and advised medication for immediately and perhaps in the future. Excellent man ,so nice . I had an acute pain in my right leg and had difficulty walking. Having had IDD treatment at Osteopath West before for sciatica I called and was given an appointment later that day. On arrival i was given a thorough examination and it was decided that I most likely had a pulled muscle as well as a nerve issue. I had some deep massage on my back and leg followed by an IDD session. The result today is that the pain is considerably better and i can now walk mush better than before. I am grateful for the prompt appointment and the service I received and would recommend Osteopath West to people in a similar position.

I understand went a procedure at Kingsbridge hospital Ballykelly. From my first appointment I was treated with care and respect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My appointment prompt and quick. All question and queries I had where answered in a matter I could understand. On the morning of my procedure the room I was given was clean and bright. Staff were very attentive and made me feel at ease. After the op try he staff where always near taking vitals and super attentive. The staff and doctors made my stay comfortable and mostly pain free.

Dr Rajiv Sood was amazing. I struggled to get my 5month baby eczema under control. Went to the GP many times but no improvement. After our consultation with Dr Sood he explained what eczema was and gave us a prescription and explained how to manage the eczema. After using the cream we noticed a big difference within 24 hours. Dr Sood explained how to manage the flare ups. Honestly I would recommend Dr Sood such an amazing caring doctor who truely cares for his patients. As a mother I cannot thank Dr Sood enough.

It was an emergency appointment to deal with an infected tooth. All the staff were friendly and sympathetic and the dentist dealt with my problem, promptly and efficiently. The state of my tooth was examined and X-rayed and I was given the best options for treating it. I agreed my tooth should be extracted and I was given clear instructions on the post procedure care. The next day the receptionist rang me to ask if I was OK and to remind me I could contact the practice if I had any queries or after effects.

I attended a routine follow up appointment after my bunion corrective surgery and had my X-ray taken prior seeing the consultant. Everyone from the receptionists and nurses to the consultant, David Redfern, was very friendly and approachable. The consultant took the time to explain the X-ray results and advised on the next steps in the healing process, which I understand can take a long time to complete successfully. I’m very happy with the progress so far and extremely grateful for the care I received.

Dr Newman was very thorough and reassuring during the in-person assessment and follow up consultation. He took time to explain complex information in a way easy to understand. I highly recommend him. However there was a lack of clarity between my insurance provider and Dr Newman’s admin team about the excess due, which only became clearly until after the event. I was chased aggressively with late payment fees added. This aspect of the service could be improved to be more transparent up front.

Over the last 15 or so years, having had a number of treatments and surgeries in various medical specialities, I would not go anywhere other than the London Independent Hospital. They always have world class doctors in all specialities at the hospital, the staff are amazing, the nurses experienced and empathetic. I hope never to visit a hospital again, but if I do need treatment, the London Independent Hospital is at the top of my list.

Dr.Seepana was very knowledgeable and intuitive in handling my clinical queries. She is very kind and polite and very responsive with patients which is very much needed especially for the elderly when they are in a very tough situation. My surgery was quickly sorted due to her excellent care which started right from ordering my MRI scan and explaining to me each and every step and keeping me calm throughout the process.

I felt that the doctor listened to everything I had to say, also carefully read everything that had been sent prior to the visit. She asked many questions, and I felt she thoroughly examined where necessary. Overall, I got the impression she knew what she was doing and feel much more confident in her diagnoses and recommendations, when compared to the treatment I have received so far with the NHS.

Doctor Khan is a warm and welcoming clinician. He took time to listen to my story, addressing my concerns and offered clear and concise explanations. He suggested treatments for my problem, which I am happy to accept. I felt in good, knowledgeable hands. I regret to say that I have been disappointed with the NHS recently but now feel that something is finally being done to help me.

Mr Khalid Ayoub

I have been suffering with a painful tennis elbow ... that has been getting worse over the last 3 months. Mr Ayoub referred me for an MRI and then seen me for a follow up where he confirmed it was a severe case and gave me a Cortisone injection which has helped . He also referred me to physio. He was very professional, knowledgeable and has a nice manner.
