About Mr Tim Halsey

Mr Tim Halsey is a fellowship-trained Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon who has been operating at the consultant level since 2014. He read medicine at the University of Bristol Medical School, underwent early surgical training in London, and completed his higher specialist orthopaedic training on the Cambridge rotation. He subsequently dedicated two years to international subspecialist fellowships in hand and wrist surgery across London, Melbourne, France, and Austria.

Mr Halsey holds expertise in the management of both acute and chronic hand and wrist trauma, alongside degenerative conditions. He previously spent four years as a substantive Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon within the combined Ortho-Plastic Hand Unit at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London before transitioning his clinical practice closer to his home in the Peak District.

Mr Halsey has won national research prizes within the field of orthopaedic and upper limb surgery. His clinical work encompasses advanced open and minimally invasive surgical interventions, including arthroscopic joint procedures, microsurgical nerve decompressions, and targeted specialist care for sports-related hand trauma, such as climber's hand injuries.

Mr Halsey has a wide range of experience including:
