The process prior to my assessment appointments was mostly okay, though I would’ve liked if the forms I filled out also got emailed to me so I could keep track of which ones I had filled in and which ones I still needed to do. I also didn't get any confirmation email after completing all of the forms, so felt very uncertain they’d all been seen until I got booked in for my in person assessment a few weeks later. The assessors themselves were friendly and reassuring. I particularly liked the assessor I spoke to for my online appointment as his prompts helped me break down the questions to understand them better and ensured I didn’t forget things. Eg The question over experiencing ‘OCD’ behaviours felt unclear to me since I don’t know much about OCD and don’t like to presume based off media. He explained and put me at ease. Receiving the report was probably the most complicated part of the process, as the full report and abridged report appeared the same to me at first glance (I have ADHD so am likely to miss some info). Once I’d made sense of what i was looking at, I felt both reports would be more accessible with a contents page with working hyperlinks to help navigate the document. There was no hierarchy of information, which made it difficult to take it all in. It should have been clear at first glance what my diagnosis was and what the rest of the document contained. Especially given the likely needs of patients who are reading these reports, I felt this was important to say.

Dr John Griffiths

Dr Griffiths was professional, kind and made me feel completely at ease. He explained everything in great detail to myself and my partner and we both knew straight away I would be in safe hands Several colleagues of Dr Griffiths in the Surgical Day Unit agreed with me when I said Dr Griffiths was wonderful, and they said he is an absolute p!easure to work with, and staff like to work when he does. He respects both patients and colleagues alike treating them with kindness and support Dr Griffiths was lovely when he administered my anaesthetic, he was so calm and I felt totally relaxed and cared for We also received a text message later in the evening after my procedure from Dr Griffiths to ensure all was well. That was extremely reassuring We will be writing to Dr Griffiths and his team to personally thank him\them - what an outstanding experience I have had Thank you so much

I cannot recommend Dr Mohamed Aly highly enough. He was absolutely amazing from start to finish and made me feel completely reassured and comfortable throughout my procedure. The procedure was quick, smooth and very well organised. I was informed about everything beforehand and kept updated throughout, which made the whole experience feel so easy and stress free. I felt that I was in very safe hands from the moment I met him. He was incredibly professional, kind and approachable, and I really appreciated the time he took to explain everything and make sure I was comfortable. The procedure went extremely well, and I could not have asked for a better experience. He is an amazing doctor and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough. I came to him after a serious accident with a significant injury, and at the time I genuinely wasn’t sure how much of my mobility I would get back. The progress we’ve made, and how quickly we’ve made it, has been incredible. He is extremely knowledgeable and takes a very thoughtful, individual approach to rehabilitation. He continually adapts my treatment and exercises based on how I’m progressing and what’s happening with my recovery, rather than simply following a standard programme. Beyond being an excellent physiotherapist, he’s also a genuinely lovely person and a pleasure to spend time with, which makes such a difference when you’re going through a long recovery. I’m incredibly grateful for everything he has done to get me back to where I am today and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

Exceptional experience from start to finish. As a private hospital, Cromwell sets the standard — immaculately clean, perfectly organised, and running precisely on time. I had my own private room throughout, the nursing staff checked on me regularly and made me feel genuinely cared for, and I was even given a menu to choose my food from. Every member of staff I encountered was warm, professional, and attentive. It made what could have been a very stressful day feel calm and manageable. Could not fault a single thing.

Dr Watts is an amazing doctor, he was actually my NHS GP for more than 25 years before he retired but I tracked him down. I will trust no other doctor with my health concerns going forward. Lovely, friendly receptionist too which isn’t often said about a doctors receptionist these days.

She explained the process of genetic testing and the implications very well and I felt confident that I made the right decision for my family following my cancer treatment. Phlebotomy staff also extremely efficient, kind and helpful.
