    Mr Raghav Dwivedi

    ENT Surgeon

    5

    Verified

Three weeks ago, Raghav performed an exceptionally complex superficial parotidectomy to remove a large pleomorphic adenoma that, foolishly, I had left for far too many years before seeking medical advice. By the time it was diagnosed, the tumour measured over 4.3 cm, with multiple lobules extending between branches of the facial nerve. My MRI scans made it clear that removing it intact while preserving the facial nerve would be far more challenging than the standard parotidectomy. The outcome Raghav got for me exceeded anything I had dared hope for. During the operation it became clear that the tumour was firmly adherent to the main trunk of the facial nerve, with extensions going into both the superficial and deep lobes of the parotid gland. Raghav and his team painstakingly dissected every branch of the facial nerve, preserving them all while successfully removing the tumour completely with its capsule intact. The surgery took hours longer than scheduled because the positioning of the tumour on the nerve was just about as unfortunate as it could be. But they kept working, using every ounce of their skill and determination to get me the result I needed. As soon as I woke up in recovery I knew that my facial nerve function was going to be completely fine. I could have cried with relief. I have full movement throughout my face, and the surgical scar is remarkably neat – especially considering the size of the mass they had to remove. I was expecting it to be much more obvious, but the wound closure has clearly been done with consummate skill. Three weeks after surgery, I'm healing really well. Best of all, the pathology confirmed the tumour was benign. A glance at his CV will tell you that Raghav has trained and worked at some of the world’s most prestigious universities and hospitals, and that he contributes to the top ENT journals. When you meet him, you realise that he’s also a great human being – humble yet very confident, able to communicate the risks and rewards around different surgical approaches in a way that’s understandable and reassuring. But when the day of your operation comes around, what you really want in a surgeon is technical mastery – along with a calmness under pressure, good decision-making and a refusal to accept anything less than the best possible outcome they can get for the patient on the table – however challenging the circumstances, and however long it takes. This is what you get with Raghav and I will be forever in his debt for the brilliant outcome he got for me.

The hospital was spotless, with excellent facilities, and every member of staff contributed to making my stay as comfortable as possible. The care I received throughout was outstanding. On the day of my surgery, my anaesthetist was fantastic. He was kind, professional, and very reassuring. Before I went to theatre, a member of staff assisting him made a comment that I found inappropriate and unsettling. I don't know who this gentleman was, but I want to make it clear that it was not the anaesthetist who made the comment. The anaesthetist immediately reassured me and later apologised for the gentleman's behaviour, which I really appreciated. His professionalism and compassion quickly put me back at ease. The aftercare was equally outstanding. The nurses in the nurse clinic were professional, caring, and compassionate, providing regular dressing changes every few days while ensuring I was comfortable and well looked after. Apart from that isolated incident, every member of staff I encountered was amazing, caring, and compassionate. I cannot thank Mr Phillips and the team at Spire Hospital enough for the care and support they have provided. Mr Phillips is a credit to the hospital, and the surgery has genuinely changed my life. I would highly recommend him and the entire team at Spire Hospital to anyone considering colorectal surgery.

Mr Norwood was amazing and professional. Mr Bouch the anaesthetist was also kind and very professional. The theatre staff were all excellent and caring but the Nurse that looked after me following my operation left me a little distressed as I felt like I was being rushed out because it was home time. When I came back from surgery she noticed my blood pressure had dropped and when my husband looked at the monitor he said it was continuing to drop. I pressed the nurse call button which was ignored and my husband had to go looking for someone. 2 nurses came and looked at my drip which hadn’t gone down at all in the 1 1/2 to 2 hours that I was there and said they would check on me again and that I wouldn’t be going home yet. A short time later my nurse came and told me to go home. I told her my fluid bag had been taken away because it wasn’t workingand my blood pressure had dropped again since she first noticed it but she said it’s ok and I left the hospital worried all the way home and continued to check my own blood pressure for the rest of the evening as it worried me. I asked the nurse if it was nearly time for her to go home and she answered the words I expected…. that it was!

I recently returned to Bliss Clinic for my postnatal check-up with George, the physiotherapist, and once again I left feeling incredibly well supported. He took the time to assess my recovery thoroughly, answered all of my questions, and gave me a clear plan for the next stages of my rehabilitation. I left feeling reassured, confident, and knowing exactly what to expect moving forward. This experience perfectly reflects what Bliss Clinic has been like throughout my entire pregnancy and now into the postnatal period. From the moment you walk through the doors, you feel safe, welcomed, and genuinely cared for. Every member of the team is warm, friendly, and highly professional, and the level of expertise is exceptional. I feel incredibly grateful to Dr. Peeva and the entire Bliss Clinic team for the outstanding care they have provided throughout my pregnancy, the birth of my son, and my recovery afterwards. I can wholeheartedly recommend Bliss Clinic to anyone looking for exceptional maternity and postnatal care. It truly is a unique network of experts who work together seamlessly to support you every step of the way.

I had my appointment yesterday, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. My consultant was absolutely amazing from start to finish. He took the time to listen patiently as I explained the long complex history of my foot. I felt genuinely heard, and he summarised everything so clearly and accurately that it gave me confidence he fully understood my situation. He made me feel completely at ease throughout the appointment. He was kind approachable and incredibly professional. We even shared a few laughs and jokes along the way which made my appointment more relaxed. His bedside manner was exceptional and his compassionate approach made a real difference to me. I left the appointment feeling reassured, respected and optimistic. He is a true credit to the hospital along with Mr Kartik Logishetty who referred me to Mr Mushtaq. Thank you?

I attended a consultation with Dr Neet for ongoing gut issues, suspected to be SIBO. The assessment was thorough, clearly explained, and genuinely reassuring. I was prescribed targeted medication along with a microbial treatment plan, and everything was communicated in a way that made the process easy to follow. The service throughout was excellent. Staff were friendly, supportive, and made the whole experience comfortable from start to finish. I felt listened to and well cared for. Highly recommended for anyone seeking specialist help with gut‑related concerns.

I was absolutely shocked that the only Air Conditioning in the Hospital is in the Operating Theatres. My Room was 27.9 degrees and I was lucky that I was only there for a couple of hours. I cannot imagine how awful it would have been for me had I been having major knee surgery and having to stay in the Hospital. As a private hospital, with the fees that are paid, I cannot believe that in this day and age, you cannot provide your patients with an acceptable temperature.

I was able to obtain a same day appointment following some concerning test results from my GP. I was unable to speak to my GP regarding my results and was due to go on holiday and needed advice about whether I could travel. The consultant I saw was able to allay my concerns and I will have repeat tests undertake at MUMS before my holiday to ensure I am stable to travel. I received an excellent service at a very reasonable price.

Such a friendly team. I was greeted so warmly by everyone - every single member of staff introduced themselves, explained what was happening and were genuinely friendly and calm. All seemed to enjoy their job. I was seen quicker than expected so my wait time was cut very short. I was almost disappointed as I wanted to enjoy the peace and quiet in my room for as long as possible! Very professional environment - quiet and calm.
