I visited the hospital to see an orthopaedic surgeon after having a fall at work and damaging my knee. I have had issue with it since the accident I suffered at work.I was advised to lodge a claim with my employers insurance. This I did because of the problems I am having with my knee. I was sent to see this gentleman so he could assess the damage to my knee. I was treated as if I was only there because I was lodging a claim and to have recompense for the damage I suffered and still am. He seemed very abrupt and I felt as though I was cross examined over the form I had filled in regarding my injury. I left the room feeling like I had done something extremely bad and wrong. I have never had to go through this scenario and very much hope not to have to go through another. I am a patient who has an injury that I am advised my a consultant needs an operation yet I was treated though I was feigning injury. I do not feel valued having attend at the one hospital.

Dr Miss Tania Adib has accompanied me very thoughtfully through my perimenopause treatment. She explained everything in a very clear and understandable way and took the time to answer all of my questions. She fine-tuned my hormonal therapy for perimenopause with small but very effective changes. The switch to bioidentical progesterone at night has notably reduced my sleep disruptions and night-time hot flushes, and I am now sleeping much better. The addition of testosterone has been truly life changing for me: together with improved sleep, it has restored my previous energy levels and my libido, and I feel much more like myself again. I believe testosterone is something that should be prescribed specifically for women when appropriate, as its impact can be profound, and I would definitely recommend considering this option under specialist guidance.

Dr Tan provided incredible support throughout my pregnancy and delivery. She communicated information thoughtfully and clearly, always taking the time to explain things in a way that felt reassuring rather than overwhelming. I truly felt that she had my best interests in mind every step of the way, especially during labour. During moments of uncertainty, she was especially calming and made me feel confident in the decisions we were making together. Her care, professionalism, and compassion made a huge difference in my experience especially as this was my first pregnancy, and I’m so grateful to have had her as my doctor. I enjoyed being looked after by Dr Tan, and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a consultant who is highly intelligent, knowledgeable and genuinely caring.

Dr Mowat listened to my concerns and explained small changes to help relieve my symptoms meantime (which worked pretty quickly). My upper endoscopy was performed only a few weeks later- again all was explained well and results given straight away along with any instructions going forward. Biopsy results were returned within two weeks and Dr Mowat called me to discuss. He has a great manner and put me at ease which helped lessen my worries. He explained exactly what was to happen during the procedure and made sure I understood the results. All the staff involved were very professional and caring. Reception staff also, being very nice and professional, help make this clinic a pleasant place in which to have diagnostic procedures.

We’re very grateful to Dr Friedmann for treating our older child’s severe eczema. Symptoms started at around 4 months old, but the initial treatments we received elsewhere were ineffective and the condition became severe. It took a long time to control until we eventually saw Dr Friedman. His assessment was clear, the plan was practical, and—most importantly—it worked. After a long, stressful period, our child’s eczema finally came under control. It’s very clear that Dr Friedmann’s primary goal is effective treatment and real outcomes, not just short-term symptom relief. We fully trust his clinical judgement, skills, and practice, and we highly recommend him.

I cannot speak highly enough of Mr Fawdington, who along with his knowledge and expertise is caring and empathetic with an engaging manner. From my first meeting I felt reassured that my symptoms, which had perplexed others, could be resolved. His initial thoughts were proved entirely correct after an MRI, and prompt surgery was the realistic option for a condition that is considered somewhat rare. After five weeks from my initial consultation I regained full motor function to my hand, for which I am eternally grateful. His lovely secretary was also most helpful in guiding me through the process.

The staff that dealt with me on the day were amazing. Very nice and made me feel comfortable. There was a slight issue with the connection for the headphones but they quickly resolved it and made me feel comfortable again. The lady who showed me to the room is made for that job :) unfortunately after I did have to chase a few times for my results imagining were trying to be helpful however a receptionist I was put through to was very rude, undermining and probably one of the worse receptionist I’ve come across in a long while.

Having been for a much longer and more complicated surgery, a year ago, I already knew that I would be in good hands for this, more minor procedure. The staff as so attentive and friendly, it was lovely to see most of the same familiar faces and to be remembered by them. Everything is exceptionally clean and I felt very well looked after, my consultant saw me before and after the procedure and kept me well informed. The anaesthetist also explained everything that would happen, answering any questions.

Very happy with my consultant and the nursing staff but (as I have previously said in feedback) that waiting area (on the first floor) at Parkside really needs improvement. The reception staff are unfriendly, talk noisily amongst themselves, the coffee machine was broken today, there are sirens (or alarms or phone rings?) going off regularly which is not good for anxious patients
