I would definitely recommend Dr Ducci to anyone needing help if they are experiencing mental health difficulties. She has helped me enormously and I cannot thank her enough!! In fact its not too much of a stretch to say that Dr Ducci has now helped to save my life twice! I last contacted and used Dr Ducci's services some 5 years ago (see my earlier 5* review). She was instrumental in helping me to apply for and achieve retrospective ill health retirement (IHR) for depression & anxiety 20+ years when I had no where else to turn. 5 years later and now subject to a periodic IHR review I turned once more to Dr Ducci or an independent review / assessment on the state of my mental health. Fortunately for me, Dr Ducci remembered my case. As before, she was professional, courteous, communicative, respectful, thorough, engaging and sympathetic towards me. Within a relatively short space of time after my consultation, Dr Ducci managed to provide my employers a report on my mental health and also wrote to them directly answering specific questions. My IHR review has now concluded and my continued IHR has been approved in my favour!!!! Without Dr Ducci's involvement I am convinced I would not have been able to satisfy this review. I dread to think where my mind would have taken me if I had received an adverse decision. In addition, Dr Ducci also contacted my GP and they have since referred me for further treatment on the NHS. I'm pretty sure no other Dr would have done so much for me. Thank you Dr Ducci. For others thinking about using her services there is absolutely no question... go for it. You'll thank me. Generally my experience was positive. The exceptions were the pre -op appointment when I was left waiting and then felt the nurse was patronising. I also decided not to stay in after my operation as I was left without pain relief. I asked for some about 5 hours after the procedure and they agreed it but left me without it and my husband had to chase it. The pharmacy team visited me within a few hours and left a bag of medicines but offered no guidance. Otherwise, everything else was really good. The reception team have always been friendly and helpful. The male nurse who prepared me for the operation was absolutely lovely as were the anaesthetic team. The physiotherapist gave me lots of very helpful information and visited me a couple of times. Her care was excellent. My Consultant was fantastic.

What really stood out was his availability and dedication — he’s been responsive via email and telephone virtually around the clock, which gave me tremendous reassurance during what could have been a very stressful time. Professor Vasdev combines exceptional surgical skill with genuine compassion and professionalism. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been under his care and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone in need of urological surgery.

Much busier than on my first visit to a different consultant a few years ago , which I think reflects the state of the local NHS hospital . Also ( this may now be true of other Nuffields I have visited in the past ) the little refinements are sadly gone - coffee and tea now self service and in a cardboard cup / mug, and no biscuits . No newspapers . These things may be hangovers from the Covid pandemic , but they could surely be reinstated now , as they definitely distinguish private from National Health spaces . The only aspect about “ going private “ these days that certainly is different is the speed with which one can make an appointment .

Very professional manner- Oliver Denton took time to answer my questions but also explained why he wouldn’t always as a matter of course, advise a steroid injection- but then after examining my knee he agree it was appropriate since my knee isn’t too badly damaged, but enough to merit having an injection since our holiday in Italy was to start the very next day! His explanations helped me feel confident about what the procedure ..he also explained the injection may not make the pain go away fully- this has been the case so far but I understand this can be normal. I am fully happy with the way this has all gone.

Dr Rahul was very sympathetic, understanding and reassuring, the treatment was painless and gentle and precise. As was explained the treatment worked so well I was back at work in 3 days and able to go on the family holiday a week later.
