I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to Dr James Noake at Pure Sports Medicine for his ongoing efforts in diagnosing a long-standing misdiagnosed knee injury following several unsuccessful procedures. Dr Noake identified relevant pathology on imaging that, unfortunately, had been missed by several other private consultants elsewhere. He then carefully administered a diagnostic injection, taking considerable time to ensure pinpoint precision through a cyst and a very small joint space. Dr Noake is clearly a very busy and sought-after clinician, yet he ensured I received an extensive first face-to-face consultation, with ample time in clinic to explore the problem thoroughly using ultrasound. He also went above and beyond by reviewing both previous and updated MRI scans, speaking to me at short notice via Zoom call during the festive period in order to review images and discuss options. I found this attention to detail and direct liaison to be exceptional as more than once I have had to wait 6-weeks between appointments at other private clinics or hospitals. Dr Noake is clearly dedicated to his craft and approaches his work with diligence, precision, and honesty. From the first point of contact, he inspired confidence through his willingness to answer questions, think critically beyond the obvious, and work collaboratively to reach informed decisions. I would highly recommend Dr Noake to anyone seeking help with complex, long-standing, or less common knee or nerve-related injuries.

Dr Darr is the most straight talking dr we have ever met told us exactly what he was doing to do our son. His care and attention has been amazing. The operation well really well. Today we went for our after care appointment to have stents removed Dr Darr was very gentle we had no idea how long they were. He went on to reassure us of the healing process and was very kind and gentle with our son who is 16 and austic. He explained to all of us what he did and how long the healing would take. We are due back in 3 months. Dr Darr's booking assistant is an amazing man called Pete i was very worried about this operation and he was so lovely explained how he knew Dr Darr and reassured me what a talented surgeon he was. Pete called me while away on holiday booked the appointment for February 2 days later called again to say a cancellation had come up for Jan 6th that was 1 day after our holiday i was hesitant but again Pete reassured me of the care and consideration they would show my Son. I know the Nhs has a bad reputation but the team around him was amazing from Pete who booked the appointment Oliver the anesthesiologist a junior surgeon who i forget her name to Sharon the nurse who gave us the best after care. Thank you to this lovely amazing team.

Attended for a blood test. I’ve had multiple bad experiences with blood tests over the years. This is primarily because I have very small and narrow veins which disappear with the touch of a needle..☹️ I find the whole experience extremely painful and distressing … I explained all of this to Debbie, the wonderful and kind nurse who attended me. She was brilliant! Totally put me at ease and was incredibly supportive and gentle. I was definitely a challenge for her as my veins were completely uncooperative per usual. But she took her time and used the smallest needle possible to minimise any discomfort. She succeeded in the end and managed to get enough blood for a full blood count!! Miraculous! I am so very grateful to Debbie for turning a potentially very upsetting and negative experience into a positive outcome. She has helped me to regain a little more confidence in having my blood taken again. Thank you Debbie! 😊

After having an initial consultation and X-rays Mr Holton recommended a bilateral hip replacement in 2 stages . Both operations were successful with little or no pain/ discomfort. I had good mobility in as little as 4 weeks which was well above my expectations. I believe this was not only due to Mr Holton’s knowledge and expertise but also the. Mako Robotic Arm technology that I was offered on my initial consultation after Mr Holton explained the benefits . I can only say that the surgery has transformed my life and I am active again! Mr Holton is a truly dedicated and competent Surgeon a thoroughly nice man who is easy to talk to and has a very caring attitude. I just felt that he wasn’t interested in my issues and simply dismissed everything I was saying to him , this left me feeling much worse than I did before I met him.. To me it seemed like I caught Mr Chinoy at the end of a long day , hearing people’s complain after complain, resulting in him having no patience or empathy for my conditions whatsoever…Furthermore, he never examined me , neither did he think it was justifiable to carry out any further investigations .. I left feeling bemused, upset and completely underwhelmed by the whole experience.

It was a private appoint & I paid for the ILR device. That was fine but I have been disappointed with the follow up since which seems to provide no reassurance that the ILR results are being looked at / reviewed so it is a case of assuming "no news is good news". In my view this is poor, if not unsatisfactory and it seems to me an initial 3 month review email followed by half yearly emails would be welcomed by patients. Also issue of contact phone numbers would be helpful e.g. technical. episode queries
