Both of my clinicians were friendly and professional. In particular, Hannah Geary was excellent - reading my report from her, I felt she really listened and understood my situation and experiences. A few negative points: I arrived around 5-10 minutes early for my in-person appointment and no one from Skylight was listed on the outside of the clinic. I tried to speak to someone else on the buzzer list, but they couldn't help. I then rang the Skylight number and got an answer machine. Only then did my clinician arrive - he said he didn't know my appointment was at 9.30am as he never does appointments that early. This was an unnecessarily stressful experience, and when relaying this to Hannah Geary, she asked for my permission to escalate this. The wait time on communication was much longer than I would have expected. My report was also delayed because my early developmental questionnaire was somehow not linked to my profile. I received initial emails saying everything was complete in October, but then the eight-week timeline passed and I had to chase up. Had someone contacted me earlier to say there was a problem (which was easily rectified), I would not have had to wait an extra month to get my final report. I also haven't received confirmation that my request for extra sessions has been acknowledged and a rough timeline for these, so will follow up on email.

Mr Ashok Mohanty

I was very impressed with the care and attention I received from Mr Mohanty. Not only did he check on me after my procedure, but he phoned the next day and then came in later that evening, even though it was his day off. Initially, after my procedure, I had a catheter fitted. However, when they removed it, I encountered difficulties passing urine. Mr. Mohanty allowed me to go home with a catheter fitted and arranged to see me in his clinic the following day. About 10.00 that next day, Mr Mohanty phoned me to check that I had all the information I needed to attend his clinic (as he hadn’t been on site when I was discharged) and was very welcoming upon my arrival. This appointment went as he had explained and I left hospital without a catheter a few hours later. Since my procedure, I have been very amazed at the level of care and professionalism Mr. Mohanty has shown to me - he has phoned a number of times to check on my recovery and shown interest in me as a person, remembering some key facts about my life. He is an excellent practitioner and I am grateful for what he has done.

I have now been to all three locations (I had Hernia surgery 4 weeks ago at their Grosvenor Street hospital) and have been very impressed. The clinics are very clean and more akin to a hotel than a hospital. My issue was a bad back and painful sciatica. I was seen about 15 mins after my appointment time, but that's to be expected these days and it wasn't a problem. I was seen by Mr Montgomery who was very efficient and he gave my back a thorough examination. He said I needed an MRI and I was dreading having to wait days as I had really struggled to get to the clinic due to my injury. However, to my amazement, they managed to arrange for me to have the MRI there and then. I was looked after my Ibrahim who was first class. What a nice guy, very friendly and engaging. Made me very comfortable and talked me through the process. The MRI took about 20 mins I guess and then we made an appointment for me to speak to Mr Montgomery 2 days later on a video call to go through the results of the MRI. Overall, another very good experience.

After trying to get my varicose veins sorted for years, (and unfortunately them getting worse over those years) I finally decided to get treatment from UK Vein Clinic in Manchester. I have had both legs treated using both ablation and foam therapy. The whole process was fantastic. I was treated so kindly by my Dr and the lovely nurses. They explained everything and took great care of me, ensuring I was comfortable. The process was very quick and I felt little discomfort. I was informed of everything happening and lots of aftercare tips. I am so glad that I chose UK Vein Clinic for treatment, their care has been fantastic right from booking a consultation to now, just after treatment. I’m still in my stockings but I am looking forward to the progress over the next few months. Thank you so much.

I have recently had two procedures within two months, plus outpatient appointments. All members of staff, from receptionist to nursing staff to consultants, were extremely polite, and nothing was too much trouble. I have had two separate consultants, and they were extremely knowledgeable and put me at ease, as I was quite nervous. Their secretaries were very friendly each time I rang through, and nothing was too much trouble. The outpatient department is very modern and spotless. I was very impressed and grateful that so many different eye examinations were performed on me. The in patient department is also spotless, and my meal after my operation was delicious!

This was my second visit to this hospital,and as it was on the 1st visit,I can only add praise on the staff,nurses consultants,seating area with coffee machine,the receptionist was so polite and helpful as well as being friendly and smiling.It was comfortably warm on a cold day,always a nervous person even for an xray.but left the hospital with all the information I needed,and feeling calm and confident on my visit. Must add that Mr Richard Slack is a very approachable person that put me imediately at my ease.and answered all my concerns very confidently,with a very caring side also,I wish I could use those hospital for all my health issues,100%! I was extremely anxious to get another cystoscopy as I had a very bad experience on the NHS where I experienced probably the worst pain I have ever had when the numbing gel was pushed down my urethra. Professor Francis throughout the entire process from my first consultation, to the cystoscopy itself was amazing, as were all the staff and nurses. But in particular Francis was able to keep me calm and he took his time when putting the numbing gel in. I felt very little pain, and the experience was obviously not enjoyable but it was the best outcome. So I just want to thank Prof Francis for being very careful, and listening to me.

Dr Hoey saw our son for his ongoing eczema and was excellent throughout the appointment. She was very knowledgeable and took the time to clearly explain the different creams and ointments available, along with clear instructions on how and when to apply them. She also gave us helpful advice for our son’s nursery on how they can support his skin care. Dr Hoey was friendly and engaging with our young son, which helped her quickly build rapport and assess him with ease. We left the appointment feeling reassured and with a clear treatment plan. Very easy to book an appointment, we could have had one the following week but due to not being available we were able to get an appointment the following week on a date and time of our choice. After hip replacement the leg is now as good as new and I can get back to long walks, cycling and activities I thought were no longer possible. I no longer have aches or pains in the joint and would thoroughly recommend getting it done. The first 2 weeks after the operation were painful but if you keep doing the exercises the mobility soon comes back and you will feel like a new person.
