I came into St Joseph’s on the 10th of January for a Abdominoplasty procedure, from entering the hospital and being greeted professionally by the reception, to the assistant who came down to reception to collect me and show me your my room, went smoothly and l would say, the highest stand l have had at a private hospital. The ward staff attended to me immediately, carried out their pre-op checks, were very informative in terms of time of the procedure etc, l couldn’t have been made more comfortable and cared for. The cleanliness and room was outstanding, l have had a number of stays at private hospitals over a period of 15 years and St Joseph’s is the leader from all parts of the service provided, your hospital should be used to show others how to set the highest standards, which you certainly excel at. Mr Wilson was outstanding too, from our initial consultation to the surgery and aftercare. I recurved a call from St Joseph’s on the 3 day after being discharged to check on my progress, which l wasn’t expecting but very much appreciated it. I have received the highest of care and everyone l met was amazing. Thank you for everything you did for me.

Spire Harpenden Hospital

Whilst time waiting to see Mr Khan was very quick , if I'd arrived any later I wouldn't have completed my check in and, I arrived more than the recommended 15 mins early more staff on reception required plus I don't think self checking in on tablets helps , whilst fine for me others clearly needed help.After seeing Mr Khan I needed follow up appointments for a scan and,blood/urine tests . Having waited at 1 reception for 15 minutes area to make an appointment for the tests to be brusquely told to go and make my scan appointment as it "Would save time" .When I'm 2 away from the desk don't think it was about saving my time.Then wait at the radiology department reception for another 15 minutes as only 1 person on reception, told they'll need to check with the radiologist and, would call me today as yet they haven't. Return to main outpatient reception to book tests and, amazingly I've now got 6 people in front of me ...finally get to the desk to be told can't do blood test as no one there to do them .Now had there been but because of time wasted there no longer was ? Not impressed by The Spire on this occasion, Mr Khan yes , but everything else no .

I had cataract surgery on both eyes on 4th December 2025 and l was discharged today, 12th January 2026. I'm so pleased to say l don't need to wear glasses or contact lenses any more. From start to finish, my experience at Freedom Vision Chelmsford was exceptionally good - and my end result is superb vision. - more than l could ever have hoped for. Colours are radiant and bright, and probably the biggest bonus for me is feeling so much more confident driving at night. After undergoing rigorous tests and scans , the actual procedure is very quick and painless. All the staff, without question were delightfully kind people and I'd like to thank them all individually, if only l knew their names. But in particular, l'd like to thank Nicola who guided me patiently and expertly throughout the whole procedure, and a massive thank you to Mr Hove , my surgeon, for being such a genius. If you are contemplating cataract surgery, l urge you to go for it - don't be scared - you won't regret it!

From initial consultation to procedure and after care , everything was explained and delivered with kindness and clarity . The booking process and post surgery follow up appointments were arranged efficiently with contact details easily available at every stage should you have any queries or concerns . My actual surgical procedure was as explained to me pre operatively , making me feel relaxed and calm throughout . The surgical outcome from my particular procedure is amazing with virtually no visible scars , a testament to Mr Pereiras vast surgical experience and talent . I cannot recommend Regain Aesthetics highly enough and would definitely recommend to friends and family without hesitation .

I’ll admit, I’m quite squeamish, so previous consultations for laser eye surgery left me feeling uneasy. Meeting Mr. Wevill was a completely different experience—he put me at ease right away and made the whole process feel comfortable and stress-free. I decided to have both lenses replaced with prescription lenses, and honestly, the procedure was quick, simple, and far less daunting than I imagined. Dr Kalla spent time clearly explaining what my problem was, what further tests were required and how these would be carried out. He went on to clearly and thoroughly explain what the treatment would entail and how this would be done. He checked my understanding at every stage and he created a safe space for me to ask any questions I had and to discuss any fears or concerns about the treatment or its outcomes. I left my consultation absolutely clear on what was in front of me. At all stages Dr Kalla was warm, engaging and very considerate. His path of investigation led to my ultimately receiving a new aortic valve which has saved my life. I recommend him most highly.

I found Mr Nair to be very personable and attentive. He took copious written notes as I explained my problem and concerns. He suggested an adjustment to my medication regimen, which will help with troublesome side-effects, writing to my GP accordingly. This is a particular source of relief to me. He has also made an NHS referral for me, for a separate, concerning issue. I am extremely glad that I made the decision to see Mr Nair privately, rather than wait for an NHS appointment. If I should need any further advice or support, I won't hesitate to make a further appointment to see him. This was a very positive and supportive experience, Thank you Mr Nair.

He explained the process and outlined the risks of the proposed surgery in clear layman's language that I could understand.. He did not sugar the pill! It was a private appoint & I paid for the ILR device. That was fine but I have been disappointed with the follow up since which seems to provide no reassurance that the ILR results are being looked at / reviewed so it is a case of assuming "no news is good news". In my view this is poor, if not unsatisfactory and it seems to me an initial 3 month review email followed by half yearly emails would be welcomed by patients. Also issue of contact phone numbers would be helpful e.g. technical. episode queries

Mr Shahbaz Malik

I was seen by Mr Malik for my knee arthritis. He planned surgery but for medical reasons it could not be carried out at the same hospital. Mr Malik transferred me to HCA Harborne Hospital and did the surgery there. He has been superb with his mannerism, care and explanation. I am around 5 months from surgery and can not thank him enough for all that he has done for me. I am walking pain free and getting my steps in and travelling without fear of knee giving way.

We met with Dr Donald Hodge for allergy testing on our 2 year old. He was very helpful and informative throughout the process. The allergy testing itself was very quick, stress free and professional. Our child didn’t even react which is what we were expecting. He was also very helpful in the treatment for his eczema and gave lots of useful information. Would recommend Dr Hodge and spire hospital for any related consultations and testing!
