I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Kasia. From the very first interaction, she was exceptionally kind, considerate, and empathetic. She spent nearly an hour with me on a call, which in itself was remarkable, especially compared with many private consultations where time can feel extremely limited. I never once felt rushed. What stood out most was the depth of her preparation and attention to detail. She had clearly reviewed my entire medical history thoroughly and in far more depth than any clinician I have seen previously. Her knowledge of oncology is outstanding, but what really impressed me was her ability to integrate this with a broader understanding of complex medical issues and explain everything clearly and logically. Her manner and tone were incredibly reassuring, and she demonstrated genuine sympathy and care throughout. She ensured no detail was overlooked and went above and beyond in liaising with other departments and specialists to make sure every aspect of my case was considered properly. For the first time in a long time, I felt that someone was truly in control of my care. She explained not only the current situation but also the possible future pathways, likelihoods, and risks in a way that finally made sense. Until this consultation, I had felt very much in the dark and extremely anxious due to conflicting or unclear information from other providers. After speaking with Dr Kasia, I felt informed, empowered, and significantly less anxious. I now feel completely reassured that I am in the best possible hands and that my care is being managed thoroughly and thoughtfully. I was also extremely impressed with her secretary, who is wonderfully responsive, accurate, and friendly. Queries were answered incredibly quickly, and I was able to speak to Dr Kasia on the very same day I raised the request, which was quite extraordinary. This has been, without question, the best medical experience I have ever had. I feel confident, supported, and optimistic moving forward, knowing I am under the care of such an outstanding doctor and team.

Mr Tahir Mahmud

I underwent a unicompartmental knee replacement (UKR) in November 2025 performed by Mr Mahmud, and I am extremely pleased with both the surgical outcome and the overall care I received. From the initial consultation, Mr Mahmud was clear, measured, and reassuring. He explained why a UKR was appropriate in my case, whilst also providing me with alternative options. He set realistic expectations about recovery, which have proven to be very accurate. I felt well informed and confident proceeding with surgery. My recovery has progressed exactly as advised and whilst there has been some stiffness and swelling I have felt improvements day by day. One of the most noticeable improvements for me was how smooth the knee felt when bending — the grinding and grating sensation I experienced pre-operatively has now gone completely. I have received an additional benefit in significantly reduced hip pain due to the realigned knee joint, this was noticable from early in my post op recovery period and has maintained throughout. I have now been discharged from physiotherapy with no restrictions, clear guidance to self-manage progression, and confidence in the strength and stability of the implant. That reassurance has been invaluable as I’ve returned to exercise and everyday activity. Overall, the care was professional, calm, and expertly delivered. The outcome has exceeded my expectations and I could not be happier with my knee at 10 weeks post op. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Mahmud to anyone considering a partial knee replacement.

Practice Plus Group Hospital, Barlborough

I had knee replacement surgery at the Practice Plus hospital at Barlborough on 29th November. The pain I experienced during the two weeks following the surgery on a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate at 8 to 9. Now that I am in my eight week of recovery my pain level is 1 or2 I had a problem in that during the first 2 weeks after surgery I was hardly able to sleep due to the pain when lying down and some nights I had zero hours of sleep. After discussion with the hospital pharmacist it became evident that one of the pain killing medicines I had been prescribed had insomnia as one of it’s side effects. After stopping this medication and taking an alternative my sleep pattern returned to normal and my recovery accelerated. From the experiences of friends who had undergone this surgery I knew that physiotherapy was the key to a successful outcome. The physiotherapy I received at Barlborough was exceptional. By following their exercise plans and receiving guidance at my follow-up visits I am now able walk for one hour virtually pain free, ride my static bike at home and if all goes well should be able to ride my bike on the road in a few weeks time. Dr Owen Weeks was fantastic — very kind, reassuring, and took the time to listen properly. He explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made me feel genuinely comfortable and cared for. It was such a refreshing experience compared to feeling rushed elsewhere. Overall, it was a great doctor’s appointment and well worth going private. I left feeling reassured and confident, and I would highly recommend this service to anyone considering it. Communication with Kernow Psychiatry has been very responsive and I booked an initial appointment to discuss my mental health difficulties. Dr Reid welcomed me into a comfortable room at the wellness hub, she immediately put me at ease and took care make sure I was settled and ready to start. After the hour, Dr Reid summarised what she saw as the key priorities to getting me back on an even keel, suggesting a clear approach to addressing my intersecting issues. I am looking forward to my follow up appointment and the start of my recovery treatment plan. I only wish I’d followed my instincts sooner and booked in months ago.

My partner and I came to the Agora for a fertility assessment as we've been trying to conceive for a couple of years. The doctor was kind in explaining our results and gave a clear plan of what they recommend moving forwards. I chose the clinic based on the good reviews and we are so happy that we did. All the staff we have come across have been very nice and answered any questions that we had. We feel comfortable choosing the Agora for IVF even though this is an unknown road ahead, i feel supported.

Spire Harpenden Hospital

The only area for improvement is the check-in process - quite often there is a queue of people waiting at reception and the vehicle registration screen is separate to the check-in form, which isn't very efficient. The waiting area and exam rooms are clean and tidy, the staff is friendly and helpful. I prefer coming here despite it being a longer drive than my nearest private hospital because of the great experience I've had previously.

RTN Mental Health - Right To Choose

My GP sent referral for RTN in January 2025. According to their announcement on the ADHD website, the waiting time was 8-9 weeks. Unfortunately, I was waiting couple of months. My assessment was done in October and on my outcome appointment, which was a year after, the 3rd doctor was involved a d decided to do one more assessment. Without prior arrangement or agreement. Poor customer service, dishonest administration.

All the staff on the ward, theatre and recovery were very friendly and helpful. I was in room 5 and while l waited in the theatre gown I was cold. I was asked to change 3 hours before I was called to theatre. I noticed one of the radiators was not working which I reported on discharge. The actual procedure went very well and was kept informed of all things that were happening.
