It’s clear that great care is taken to maintain a high level of hygiene and professionalism. I felt safe and confident throughout my entire visit. As I am not a well person and a wheelchair user, the wait was longer due to my health and help to get out. The staff were very understanding around this. I found though, beyond reception the phone system was not the easiest due to the very short length of time given to leave your message, which for people who are disabled, so not the fastest just basic messages of name, number, DOB plus short message, it frequently cut off before you had finished. Beyond that, it was a pleasant experience as it was the least painful steroid injection I'd had to date and I did let the consultant know that. The staff were helpful and accommodating as a wheelchair user plus self employed PA we know we take up space, so not the easiest inside a small room. Thankfully I can still transfer which helps so I can fold the wheelchair up once on to the couch. The staff were very helpful around my safety doing so which is always really appreciated. Please thank them for me.

I went to OSD Hemel Hempstead to get my cast removed following my rhinoplasty. When we got there, we were taken straight to the room & were left there for about 20mins for the nurse to find the equipment, upon her return the appointment was rushed and no information was provided for my aftercare. I was asking many questions however, she seemed reluctant to answer any (as simple as, how long do I need to tape for - she couldn’t answer). Following a conversation with my surgeons direct nurse, I found out that the nurse at OSD had not taped my nose correctly, nor removed the glue from my face. I felt rushed out of the appointment & not very well looked after. My surgeon came to review my nose post cast removal which was reassuring & he mentioned that the OSD nurse would provide me with all the information I’d need - she did not.

My teen daughter has been under the care of Dr Zakynthinaki for the last 3 months for autistic burnout alongside low mood and anxiety. Dr Zakynthinaki has been wonderful in so many ways - she's empathetic with my daughter and with me, she listens and she's been incredibly responsive to our questions. She explains things so well and in a lot of detail, which I really appreciate. It's so refreshing to come across a specialist who's willing to work with a patient so diligently and with so much care - who can offer not only the clinical experience, but is also very patient-focussed. I feel we are both seen and heard by her. If you are looking for support for your child / adolescent, particularly if they are neurodiverse, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr Zakynthinaki!

She is an exceptional professional, highly knowledgeable, meticulous, and truly dedicated to her patients. Throughout the scan, she was incredibly thorough and explained every step with clarity and care, which made me feel completely at ease. Vera was recommended to me by an acquaintance whose life she quite literally saved by diagnosing a condition that others had overlooked. After my own experience, I fully understand why she is held in such high regard. I’m deeply grateful for her expertise and compassion and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking top quality care.

My overall experience was excellent. However when I got home I found I wasn't completely sure/ had forgotten exactly when and how to take all the medicines I was given and when to stop e.g. how slowly to reduce the codeine when I didn't need it any more. Clearly printed instructions to take home would have been reassuring straight away and later. I know I could have rung the Horder Centre any time for advice but at 82 years old my hearing is less than perfect and I worry I shall not remember everything I hear afterwards. The Horder hip replacement book is excellent and is still a constant source of referral and encouragement.

Miss Hazlerrigg and her team have been incredibly supportive, reassuring and positive in what had been quite a traumatic horse riding accident. It has been over a year following my accident, surgery, post op and rehabilitation/ physiotherapy. It was a relief to finally be referred to Mr Shetty after struggling elsewhere with diagnosis. He explained the problem, answered my questions, and in a way in which I felt comfortable, reassured, and not at all rushed. Although late as unavoidably held up by traffic he made time for us beyond his practice hours. He was extremely pleasant, and regarding the necessary treatment, I had no doubt I was in excellent hands. To help other people having the operation, I would encourage them to have it and explain its hard work at first but gets easier the more work you put in yourself , meaning physio work , sticking to the plan and not doing too much or definitely to little and being patient, success will come it might take time . I'm totally pain free which probably took a good 4 months to get there , now after nearly 10 months I have no problems whatsoever!
