I had the most horrific experience here with my consultant. He was recommended to me and was brilliant on the consultation. He is still a nice man, probably knows his stuff and has good bedside manner. He did however, completely destroy any hope or respect I had. I did scans after which there was a long wait for an appointment, due to secretary error, and it was the make or break appointment for my life going forward. He was flustered because he was very late due to traffic, I was already stressed from being in a medical environment (historically been treated very badly because I have a semi rare genetic disorder) and I just remember him going on and on about the pictures on the screen. He wasn't actually talking to ME. I was more interested in how there related to my symptoms and what the way forward was. I don't think he read his notes from last time, he was insulting and patronising, but he insisted he knew me very well. If he did, he wouldn't be sitting teaching me to suck eggs. I left with absolutely no way forward, 6 years into this horrific episode and he didn't care enough to refer me to anybody. He ignored all information he considered not relevant to him and said I should lose weight and explained 'calories IN minus calories OUT'. Once I wasn't an interesting problem for him and he decided I didn't need need surgery I got fobbed off, and he only wavered when he realised a colleague of his had actually suggested surgery. I had a complete breakdown in the cafetaria, I felt suicidal. A very nice woman was bringing water etc asking if I could help. They then moved me into a quiet area and a patient liason person tried to help. She was very nice, but made it clear that they didn't want me to walk out of the hospital in that state or be seen by other people there having a bad experience. I still have no idea what he was talking about or how it linked to my symptoms, and I think that is because he did not review my file and didn't correctly mention one symptom. Utterly traumatising behaviour, that I know have to waste my time and money trying to deal with with my neuropsychologist.

Dr. Amber’s manner is non-threatening and positive, and she consistently provides explanations at an age-appropriate level. The consultation felt therapeutic and helped my son better understand his strengths and the reasons behind some of his challenges.

My whole patient experience was above and beyond. The staff were professional and showed compassion and love for their job. I’d like to say a special thank you to the nurse, Kate. From the moment she walked into her shift she was there for me. She couldn’t do enough and helped me get through my nerves. Please make sure she sees this review and I hope the manager at Fitzrovia is very proud of the staff there. Mr Fazel was an amazing surgeon who I wish I met 10yrs ago. He is calm, methodical and modest, I would certainly return to him if I want more procedures. The anaesthetist was confident and supplied me with beautiful drugs-what more can a girl want. Such a positive experience at MUMS, I attended for a fetal medicine USS after concerns were seen at a private scan elsewhere. All the staff were professional, knowledgable and attentive. The venue was convenient and easy to find with parking. The fetal medicine consultant was extremely thorough and knowledgable. The whole experience was just so positive. This, my second experience of a Hysteroscopy, was an infinitely better one! Mr. Biswas had an unhurried, calm approach to the whole procedure and he and his team enabled me to relax quite quickly. Prior to the procedure there was quite a long wait but a hot drink and sandwich were made available. Following my procedure, I was able to enjoy tea and toast and given time to recover before leaving the hospital. Thank you all for the best possible experience under the circumstances.

Had a right hip arthroscopy at Harley Street, and the whole experience was incredible. The scans leading up to the operation were immediately available, and surgery was booked at short notice. All the staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel comfortable and at ease about the operation. Post-operation care was brilliant, with physio and medications being arranged quickly, and overnight care being arranged as well. Unbelievably smooth experience
