Mr Anand Muddaiah

Dr Anand Muddaiah currently serves as an ENT Consultant at the Countess of Chester Hospital, specialising in Paediatric ENT and Otology. Additionally, he holds the role of governance lead and heads the BCHI (bone conduction hearing implants) service at the Countess. With an extensive career spanning over 20 years in ENT, he has garnered significant experience and expertise, having performed numerous surgeries with outstanding outcomes.

Dr Muddaiah obtained his initial and specialist training in India in 2003 and fulfilled his specialist training requirements in the northern deanery in England in 2013. Further enhancing his skills, he completed Paediatric ENT training at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Glasgow, in 2014, subsequently transitioning to his role as a consultant.

In his practice, Dr Muddaiah addresses a wide range of general ENT conditions in both adults and children. His proficiency extends to the treatment of ear conditions such as hearing loss, outer ear infections, impacted ear wax, perforated eardrum, middle ear infections, tinnitus, dizziness, and serious mastoid disease. His repertoire of procedures includes diagnostic endoscopy, ear microsuction, adenoidectomy, tonsillectomy, grommet insertion, eustachian tube balloon dilatation, balloon sinuplasty, functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS), septoplasty, turbinoplasty, canalplasty, pinnaplasty, perforated eardrum repair, mastoidectomy, ossiculoplasty, thyroglossal duct cyst surgery, and submandibular gland surgery.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Muddaiah is actively involved in teaching on courses recognised by the Royal College of Surgeons courses. He has also contributed to the educational initiatives of the Royal College of General Practitioners over the last five years, receiving excellent feedback for his teaching contributions.
