Visited Professor Iain Bruce with my 16 year old daughter for osteoma removal. Professor Bruce was exactly what she needed. She was stressed and upset after a failed ear syringing appmnt found (and poorly communicated) the osteoma to her but he was not phased and clearly explained everything - putting it into perspective, formulating a plan, allaying her fears and making her feel safe & well looked after. So much so that despite having never been in hospital before and having quite a rare condition, she didn’t worry at all about the surgery or recovery at all as Professor Bruce had it covered. I feel very privileged to have been able to have professor Bruce treat my child and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

Professor Simon Lloyd was a pleasure to deal with. I was referred as he was known to be the expert in the required field and operation that was required. He was extremely friendly, professional and reassuring - also took all the necessary time to explain in detail my problems, how they would be repaired and how I would recover post operation. I visited Prof at 2 differant hospital locations and my whole end to end experiance was a pleasure. Thank you Professor Simon Lloyd and also his PA Nicki Cory.

I was really impressed with Prof Homer. He really listened to what my issue was and explored every possible route in detail to find the cause. He explained the results of his assessment in great detail and gave great at home advice alongside future next steps. What I felt was most important for me is that I felt listened to by Prof Homer and didn't feel like I was being rushed like I have in the past with some medical practitioners. Mr Wasson has managed to repair my ear drum when everyone else (not at Benenden Hospital!) said it couldn’t be done. I’m very grateful for his expertise and I can’t fault any aspect of the treatment from beginning to end.

Dr Sharma was fantastic throughout the entire process. He provided very clear and concise explanations of what would happen during our stay which made us feel a lot more comfortable. He was also brilliant when it came to interacting with our young son and made him feel at ease at a time when he was naturally a little nervous. I would highly recommend Dr Sharma who is not only a highly skilled surgeon, but also an incredibly effective communicator with a naturally gregarious personality. This unique combination equates to an excellent experience for both patients and parents alike.

Very effective service the best

Surgeon Mr Sean Loughran a true professional! He promised me he would excise my tumour, Tameside failed to 8 months ago, he did just that! No fuss, in a third of the time, with far less pain, no drain, no unnecessary suffering, or removal of deeper healthy tissue, apart from the immediate surrounding area of my tumour, as my previous experience with Tameside unfortunately wasn’t the best. He put my mind at ease every step of the way. His experience is outstanding, it reflected in every aspect, he knew exactly what to do to locate my tumour, and even showed it to me on his ultrasound in the anaesthetic room to reassure me. I was quite traumatised in anticipation that this could be another failure, with the worry of cancer forming whilst waiting for this revised operation. He put my mind at rest as I requested to see my lump once removed. As soon as I came around he showed it to me in a sterile pot, then sent it off to the Histology for analysis. He checked on me many times following my operation. He answered all of my questions and worries without hesitation. I’ve had my last follow up appointment he is happy with how my wound is healing and personally trimmed my small bits of un dissolvable stitches. He gave me my results that my tumour is benign I was delighted. The results were explained thoroughly and a copy was given to me of the results. I would highly recommend Sean Loughran for Face, head and Neck, ENT Parotid gland surgery. He has a wealth of over 26 years experience. He’s helped me get my life back on track, I was destroyed last year with an uncertain future which caused much stress and strain to my husband’s health also!
