About
After graduating from UCL with degrees in medicine (MBBS) and immunology (BSc), I undertook my basic surgical training in Essex and London before moving to Cambridge to pursue higher surgical training in ENT. During my registrar training I completed an MBA at Warwick University, passing with distinction.
Before becoming a consultant, I completed prestigious fellowships in otology, balance, hearing implant surgery and anterior and lateral skull base surgery at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia.
I have published and presented extensively and have been awarded a number of prizes, awards and scholarships.
In 2016 I was appointed as a consultant ENT surgeon with a specialist interest in adult and paediatric otology and hearing implant surgery at East Kent Hospitals University Foundation NHS trust.
I am an enthusiastic runner and cyclist and enjoy the coastal life, living in Whitstable with my wife and two daughters.

Mr Wasson has managed to repair my ear drum when everyone else (not at Benenden Hospital!) said it couldn’t be done. I’m very grateful for his expertise and I can’t fault any aspect of the treatment from beginning to end.

Excellent manner. Introduced himself. Explained procedure clearly. Answered questions pre & post op. Not hurried. My only negative comment would be that post discharge we had no access to Mr Wasson when my son developed complications.

Very kind and professional. He and his team all did an amazing job and we're probably super busy but all had time to explain and answer any questions. My post-operative results are much better than what I've received in the past from an separate operation and I am undeniably happy with what he has done. He explained everything in layman's terms and was just a very serene person to have around.
