I underwent a Total Knee Replacement with Dr Scott Tulloch at Cabrini Private Hospital in April 2025. After extensive online research and reading reviews, I was referred to Dr Tulloch. From my very first consultation, I felt confident I had made the right choice. Dr Tulloch is calm, reassuring, informative, and takes the time to explain everything clearly. After reviewing my radiology results and discussing my history, he advised that it was the right time to proceed with surgery. Although I was understandably nervous, I felt fully informed and supported throughout the decision-making process. Dr Tulloch provided all the information I needed in a way that I could easily understand, allowing me to make an informed decision about my treatment. The reception staff were also outstanding—professional, efficient, friendly, and helpful. They assisted with organising my surgery, referrals, and pre-operative testing, making the entire process seamless and stress-free. Having the surgery has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. Dr Tulloch visited me in the ward after the operation, discussed the procedure and my recovery plan, and ensured I understood the importance of beginning my rehabilitation immediately. I was also supported by the hospital physiotherapy team and completed a six-week home rehabilitation program. Having a multidisciplinary team working together was extremely important to me and contributed greatly to my recovery. Dr Tulloch carefully managed my pain throughout the recovery period, allowing me to focus on rehabilitation. I committed fully to the physiotherapy program and completed my prescribed exercises three times a day. At my eight-week follow-up appointment, Dr Tulloch was warm, encouraging, and pleased with my progress. Now, more than a year after surgery, I have experienced no complications or concerns. I have over 130 degrees of knee flexion, can kneel comfortably, walk up and down stairs without difficulty, enjoy long walks, ride my bike, and participate in Pilates. The consultation and the procedure were fine. Although my postoperative experience made me wonder if my presenting symptoms were made clear enough. I have problems with the post operative experience. I contacted the practice because I was finding the prescribed laxatives gave me diarrhoea. I was told via email to juggle these as 'IBS is difficult to manage.' I don't have IBS. I have not had abdominal pain or cramping linked to bowel movements. My research led me to Trisha Pasricha a gastroentrologist based in the US. I started with a podcast and ended up reading her book. My symptoms are now totally under control. My conclusion is that it would be terrific if the practice worked closely with a dietitian who specialised in this area.

At the hospital, staff was very helpful and very caring. They were treating every patient with utmost care and specifically, cleanliness was exemplary. But only one thing disqqturbed me. In my forms, I clearly mentioned about my diet as 'vegetarian'. But after the procedure finished, they gave me something to eat and that was tea, cookies and 'chicken sandwiche'. Because I could saw the something not right in the sandwich, I complained. Then the nurse exchanged it and gave me a veg. salad sandwich. What if I couldn't see what was in there or if the patient is not in complete sense or if it was given to a child patient. So, at the hospital, as they take a very good care of everything, they should give equal care to the dietary requirement also.

Pre op and post surgical I found Dr Hellman to be personable,informative about the impending Hip replacement procedure,all was explained,paperwork and procedure were fully explained to me. I am extremely pleased with my partial knee replacement with Dr Silva. He was very supportive, easy to communicate with and provided excellent after surgery care. First day after surgery I was walking with a walker down the hall at the hospital. By the second day I was on crutches and was able to go home. I had no problems walking up the stairs with crutches when I arrived home. By 7 weeks I was back at my gym and in no time I was back enjoying shopping pain free at the local shopping centre.
