Paul van Minnen is a specialist Plastic, Reconstructive & Hand Surgeon with thirteen years of exclusive focus on the hand and wrist, and twenty years of hand surgery experience overall.

Training & Background

• Medical degree and PhD in surgery, Utrecht University, The Netherlands
• Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery specialist registration in Australia (FRACS, 2015), Europe (EBOPRAS, 2012) and The Netherlands (NVPC, 2012)
• Advanced Australian fellowship training: Reconstructive Microsurgery (Royal Adelaide Hospital, 2013), Burns Surgery (Royal Adelaide Hospital, 2014) and Hand & Wrist Surgery (Flinders Medical Centre, 2015)
• Trained alongside prominent Dutch and Australian hand surgeons from both Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgery specialties
• Dedicated, full-time hand and wrist surgery practice since 2015

Clinical Practice

Paul's practice covers the full range of hand and wrist conditions for adult patients, from acute trauma to degenerative disorders.

Particular interests:

• Surgery for osteoarthritis, including joint replacement surgery
• Dupuytren's disease surgery
• All hand trauma
• Post-traumatic revision surgery

Paul works exclusively in private practice alongside dedicated hand and wrist surgeons, hand therapists, and clinical nurses. Surgical and non-surgical pathways are managed under one roof, with in-house therapy available from the first appointment.
