A/Prof Dean White

Associate Professor Dean White is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon based at Epworth Eastern Hospital and Adeney Private Hospital and an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne. He completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 1996 followed by a Graduate Diploma in Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the same university in 1999. He became a Fellow in Plastic Surgery of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2006. He later completed his general plastic surgery training at Box Hill, Geelong, Dandenong and Maroondah Hospitals where he gained expertise in hand surgery, breast surgery and skin cancer.

In 2008, he completed further training in London's world-renowned Harley Street where he worked with the UK's leading aesthetic/cosmetic surgeons. He also spent time in the United States completing the Cosmetic Surgery Courses in Dallas, Texas. Following his training, A/Prof White worked at the Skin and Cancer Foundation in Carlton where he worked closely with specialist dermatologists, performing complex reconstruction procedures for skin cancer following MOHS surgery.

A/Prof White also holds a Specialist Certificate in Clinical Leadership from the University of Melbourne and is currently undertaking an Executive Graduate Certificate of Business from Monash Business School and Harvard Macy Institute.

A/Prof's clinical expertise include complex skin cancer work, cosmetic surgery, reconstructive surgery with particular interest in the following areas:
