Dr. Bill Gong

Dr. Bill Gong is a general surgeon with experience in both public and private healthcare settings. After completing his medical training at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, he earned his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2014. Dr Gong then undertook further specialised training in Perth, where he completed a Fellowship in Acute Surgery at Fremantle Hospital and a second Fellowship at Fiona Stanley Hospital, where he undertook hepatic, pancreatic, and biliary surgery.

Dr. Gong is now a member of the South Metropolitan Health Service, where he holds public appointments at Fiona Stanley, Fremantle, and Rockingham Hospitals. He is also an important part of the private practice community, consulting and operating at St John of God Murdoch Hospital. His clinical focus includes minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures, particularly for gallbladder issues, abdominal hernias, and bariatric surgery, as well as the management of bariatric-related complications.

Dr Gong serves as an adjunct senior lecturer at the University of Notre Dame and mentors medical students at the University of Western Australia. He is dedicated to providing exceptional care in the field of general surgery.
